Eli refused the plan he said if he was taken out at any time he wouldn’t except that. That’s insubordination but he also said just put him to play the whole game. After that remember Eli also said I’m not here to mentor a younger QB. Let’s not act like Eli was with the program cause he wasn’t. I seem to remember Eli refusing to start the first half of games if he couldnt play every snap and them sobbing at his locker.Them I remember the cuddlers making death threats , threats to burn down the stadium and sell their psls to cowboy fans ..... There is actual video evidence of that. But, no, it didn't happen.

And Davis Webb's sustained success since McAdoo neglected to start him for Eli back in 2017 has been a continued embarrassment ........Oh wait, never mind. ...........how is Geno Smith doing? Geno actually set the record for consecutive completions to start a game this year...it was something like 15. I read the Seattle forums and he seems pretty well liked over there and some even wanted him to start over a banged up Wilson.

I thought the media reaction was weird. They spent years calling Eli a "turnover machine" and other goofy names like "Peyton's brother" but when McAdoo actually had the guts to make the change they acted like Ben was insane and incompetent. Did you see the ESPN article today saying ex-Giants were going to show up at games on the sideline wearing #10 jerseys? I wasn't aware of that. There was some conspiracies involving the "Manning mafia" ...looks like there is a lot of truth to it. I guess I'm one of the few who liked McAdoo. I actually like Eli too but I feel bad for McAdoo because they destroyed that guy and his career for the most part...I just think he was trying to do the right thing for the team.

He was, but he handled it poorly. If he would have just said they were goimg to start playing the kid to see what he's got, no one would have batted an eye. The season was already lost. He was too young and inexperienced to make that move. That should have come from the top.

I get many peeps on this forum don't understand how bad you hate all the Mannings, as they never saw your act on the old boards. Or the kinda disturbing love you have for Tiki Barber. No matter how many times you change your name and act, peeps remember.

Of course there is truth to it, remember the billboard put up in support of Eli. also the angry letters Mara received, the truth is Mara was stuck. heck even when they finally drafted a QB the Mafia grumbled . And to respond to Don no i didnt or do hate mannings . he helpped us win 2 sbs. and his Brother is one of the best ever. I just always felt Eli was overrated and our Pass rushers got no credit. Eli could set his up his protection well and was great at the 2 and 4 min drills. if we needed 2 scores we mostly lost that game. after 2013 i knew Eli was done (going downhill) took many fans a long time to see it.

Lol apples and oranges. Hill was a specialty player helping with gimmick plays. The Eli situation was not that. Would you say Eli wasn’t the 26th ranked or worse QB his last 3 seasons as an NFL QB and that was with players around him. We made every excuse in the book for him and he sucked sorry but the truth hurts he was done. Ok, uh, not sure how you inferred my opinion on Eli at that time from what I replied simply because I did not think the Eli situation was comparable to Hill/Brees. If you still think it is comparable, we will need to agree to disagree.
