. You followed him in college? I don't watch any college football, but I studied JMS closely when his name first popped up as a prospect and potential pick for the Giants. Gotcha. I’m not a big follower of college football but I do watch some Games.

I think they will to where I differ is Bredeson when healthy was good for them above average last year health is his issue. I think the target for replacement is Glowinski, they seem to like Ezuedo's athleticism and looks like that want that next to Thomas if which is a big if he develops they could be a pretty nice combo of athleticism and power on the left side EZ has bad hand placement but does have heavy hands when he lands them correctly.why that hasnt been corrected already is concerning but thats Johnson's job and Eze needs to learn now. With his injury last year he hasn't even had a full year in the system yet. You can't expect these mid round picks to have refined pass pro technique coming into the league. But I thought Friday's game was something for him to build on.

I would like to see the starting OL on the field for 2 series in the next game as well as DJ at QB. No running by DJ, let him throw the ball away. I assume SB sits the entire pre season. We all assume 90% of the starters sit in the last pre season game.

The more I think about yesterday's game one cannot but conclude it should not have been played As most starters never took the field. Pre-season games sre just to make money on fans who are desperate to see their team play after a long lay-off. . It was embarrassing to see Daboll put on the field players who are not at a pro level. He's forced not to play starters as he concerned about injuries. What we saw yesterday was a total farce. Cheapened the game. Typical NFL. Hope I can restrain myself to watching only the first half on this Friday's pre-season game. You would have loved the NFL before 1978... 14 regular season games and SIX preseason games. And, the first team usually played close to a half in those games. Those were the years when too many NFL regulars used camp and preseason games to get into shape. Now, if you don't keep yourself in shape in the off-season you're going to be in trouble. The athletes today are in far better shape year round than they were back then. Many people judged how good your team was going to be by their preseason games. Now that is total BS. Preseason is to evaluate depth and who's going to make the 53. IN 1972 the Giants were 8-6 and we all had big hopes for the '73 season. So, in '73 we go 6-0 in preseason and Giant fans were sky high. Sports writers had us winning our division No Wild Card then, so it was 1st place in your division or out. We were gonna kick ass. So, then they proceeded to go 2-11-1 and people finally realized that preseason didn't mean dick.

Honestly, it is a much better approach.

I watched the return again a couple times that is not Gillan out kicking the coverage it was at least 3 to 5 missed tackle some might have just been guys not getting off of blocks.
A lot of guys playing teams that might not be here for the regular season.

Hell yea right after the Lions punter did the same thing but they covered and stopped Grey in his tracks.

Didn't think about that still he was healthy in the off season thats when these young guys iron things out still think once they jell for the 100th time it seems they will all be better. They have a new center and had possibly the worst of their backups at Tackle out there last night that includes Peart he got his edge set by a CB, a guy he should throw away like trash out weighing him by probably 80 lbs.

Not defending Davis but didn't he come into the league as a guard Yes at Ohio State - and he was “ pretty “ good.

There's only so much work you can do in the offseason. Getting your hand placement and punches right requires live action in an uncontrolled environment. I think Peart has improved since previous seasons, but he's not someone I would have faith in case of an injury.

Lions are a playoff caliber team and are predicted to make the playoffs this year. It is not surprising that they won the game even if it is pre-season. We were predicted to win that game last year but it didn't turn out like expected. They were better than we thought. There are a couple of other teams like them as well this year making the ascent

He seems not to have that nasty finisher attitude pretty soft for a big dude gotta get vicious with those DBs and LBs as a OL .
