The receivers were one of the units I was most interested in watching last night so it was disappointing to watch from that standpoint regardless of who the QB was. Beasly and Crowder stole the show think they can help this team or another if the don't make it. Agree with spotty protection and a Rookie free agent at QB it wasn't exactly entertaining. I was hoping he'd help on ST's, but Crowder has not been impressive in camp and I've at least one beat reporter say he's on the outs. That could change over the next couple weeks.

Crowder is a terrific player period. We have a talented group of number 2 WRs. The HC OC and WR coaches are going to have a daunting task evaluating at what level #2 each WR is at.

Hold up he was a good slot WR and still can be productive think terrific might be a bit strong at this stage of his career.

I think Grey can do it he has the vision and feel his speed might be an issue. Saw a huge hole open up he went to hit it it was painfully slow and he got 4 yards the same happened for Corbin he got 33 yards. If he makes it in the league it will be his vision and hands that will get him at least as a rotational type guy.

Not sure how anyone bashing Tommy Devito. Kid was slinging the rock and had little help. I thought it was one of the better backup QB performances in the last decade in the preseason anyway… (giants)) Some of us have been hurt by him in the past. Sounds like Jones.

I got nothing out of this game. Detroit is a good measuring stick for us their a better team and a possible playoff team. We were the 2nd best team out there last night. We'll be better after our initial time under fire. We certainly need help with depth on this team but were still trying to find starters.
I would like our starting OL to get a series or 2 under their belts with contact in the next 2 pre season games. But I understand holding the OT's out because of injury concerns.
I have no idea what or who our starters are going to be, but we have 3 weeks and 2 games to work it out. Hope they got a look at the players they wanted to see.

I think the current depth charts out there are pretty much cut and dried. Maybe a question between Ezeudu/Glowibnski, but I see Ezeudu winning that spot. I mostly wonder about some backup positions.

Where did the narrative that McGaughey is a good special teams coach come from? Could not believe the distain on Daboll's face when after the long kick-off touchdown return he glanced at his special teams coach. Daboll shouldn't do that. He simply can't control his emotions. Hope posters don't say that's a good thing as they do when he berates players during a game.

Some team won't want to roll the dice that he'll fall to them after his release.

He's also considered good in pass pro in the pros. He's an rb, not an OL, so his pass pro while considered good isn't going to be that of a lineman I wouldn't set lofty expectations for the blocking prowess of an RB

It takes them a couple years to be able to handle NFL scheme and LB and safety speed inside the games.

I thought that Baldonato stood out He did and that personal foul was nonsense. The guy deserves another look.

Perfect technique won’t help when the guys you are blocking weight 50-100lbs more

Some of us have been hurt by him in the past. Sounds like Jones. I think you have to throw out the Judge, Garrett, Graham years. The entire team was a mess. Proof, Garrett wasn’t an offensive coordinator for almost 10 years prior to the Giants giving him the job. Also, with almost the exact same roster, Martindale made the Giants a top 10 defensive vs. a bottom 5.

We need to see the entire starting first OL unit before reaching any conclusions. Phillips did a decent job last season and he didn't play last night. Nonetheless, Schoen needs to bolster the OL before the season starts. He has a surplus of fine receivers to trade. He needs to do so.

I’ve said more then multiple times, yeah more then multiple, that I understand the shitty positions Jones was put in for various reasons but one decent season doesn’t erase those memories. Not everything was the coaches or O lines or WR’s fault, which is why I remain skeptical but neutral about him. There’s some things to like about him but there’s still reason for concern. Excuse me? Martindale made what defensive unit top 10 with the same roster?

The only time Jones was flat out bad was the first half of 2020. Considering how bad that coaching was and how bad they were without him, it's nothing short of miraculous.
