The Giants first offensive set would have scored against any NFL team. Only way to stop the drive is if the opponent knows what each play will be. Giants are going to have pass heavy offense this season. Darren Waller even makes Daniel Jones look good.

Everyone of Jones passes were on the mark and Walker drops one pass right to him, and that's your takeaway from the Giants first drive? Sad.

Seems clear that giants will pass the ball at least 65 percent percent of the game, up from 50 percent last season. Probably but having Barkley in the game changes things. Giants are now a pass-first team. Giants will throw far more passes than last season. Barkley will catch a lot of passes.

well, I just got home, checked my DVR and it wasn't on NFL network like it was supposed to be, guess I'll catch it on a rerun later this week... Everybody outside the NY or Carolina markets got screwed and got forced to watch the Bengals.

watching the game now. Through the first half now. Our first team looked good. After that, it gets pretty average pretty quick. Not impressed by the Panthers at all.

I dvr'd it at the 2am rebroadcast, so all good...

I did not see it that way. Even the one Waller dropped was on the money.

Silly mental error by Beavers that ticked off Daboll … not going to help him in the competition with McFadden

I haven’t been this excited about a preseason game, ever. Hell must’ve frozen over! the Giants haven’t looked this good in a very long time! Defense still needs some work but the starting offense & the depth pieces in the 1st half looked fantastic, moved the ball at will.
They barely had the run game involved last night, just wait til they actually run the ball with that passing scheme. We actually have a multi dimensional offense

Silly mental error by Beavers that ticked off Daboll … not going to help him in the competition with McFadden I agree. In his defense. He is still a 6th round Rook. Not in stature, but in development. He is going to take time. Is he a long-term solution that is an unknown.

So, right now we're all thinking, "Can this be real. Is it possible for it to be real and we'll be contenders this year? It's Preseason. 1973 when there were 6 preseason games and 14 regular... we are 6-0 in preseason and Giant fans and the press all have us winning. We were 2 - 11 - 1. Still, the possibilities are smile worthy. Ah... those were days, right Zim?

How much you throwing down on them game 1 against the Turds. Excuse me? Against?! I’ll probably do my usual twice a year “emotional” bet when we play them. Depending on how I’m doing that week, anywhere between $250-500 ON the turds to win because a) I really do think they’ll win and cover and b) I would happily lose $250-500 if the Giants win. When I get really pissed, but rarely happens, is if the turds win but don’t cover, then I’ll lose my shit. Can’t bet with emotions (which I rarely do) which that bet actually isn’t because I do think they girls will win. I’ve bet against the Giants much more often over the past 5-6 years but I have NEVER bet enough where I would hope they lose. Last year hurt a bit at first but I made up for it in the end when they only won 4 of their last 11. Overall, betting against them has been quite profitable for me unfortunately. The lone might be tighter this time around still if I were a gambler i would take the Giants with the points.

my take on the game.
the Gs played better and lots of room for improvement there of course. One thing I noticed, and this will be better with a more consistent unit group, but the there is pretty poor blocking assignment hand-offs from G to Tackle and vice versa. These guys are not playing as a unit. Eze played ok. He holds ground on run plays but doesn't get much push up-field. Bredesen is similar. I stll see a rotation well into th first 1/4 of the season with Eze and Bred. Glow is all that but he is more consistent but he will be rotated as well going forward.
Flott was moved to the outside because he is a weak tackler. Maybe he improves here but of he cant he will never be a starting slot unless there is an injury. He plays the ball well in the pass game but his run support needs to improve quite a bit.
Ximines is getting cut IMO. He plays like he knows he has a spot ( ready too low key) or he just doesn't really care. I think its the later he will be gone or on the PS.
If Jones gets hurt they are toast. Taylor is playing like he just biding his time in the NFL and Davito is a project at best at this point.
The LB group is ok. McFadden needs to take at least two steps forward in his game. Beavers will prob take his spot eventually but I am not convinced he knows what to do consistently but he is still basically a rookie.
I like they Bredesen and Lemeiux as C back ups
I think the run game vs the D will still be a bit of an issue on outside runs.

Carolina's D ain't no walk on the block LOL They were 21st overall last year, that’s a walk in the park, maybe a fast walk but a walk nonetheless. Eagles and Washington were both top 3 and Washington was loaded with injuries. i think there front 7 was decent though at least against the run and short to intermediate stuff IIRC

You guys are being hard on him. At home for his first NFL TD. I get it. I agree 100 % and I take it as a for everyone who passed over me up till the 3rd round, that was a I will do great things you just watch and see...... now if it keeps up to the tune of Odell then you guys can get on him lol

but then again I kinda take that back. That would mean he is scoring TD's and as long as he isn't causing a distraction for his team I'm good with it. Sure I wanted Odell to taylor it back some but that's my opinion and I can't get mad or be mad if that's what he chooses/chose to do. As for Hyatt just don't let it ever become where you are bigger than Team............

And for all the talk about the OL, there has not been not a lot of complaints coming out of camp about Jones being under a lot of pressure with the 1's. We saw it last night. Helps with open receivers running all over, as it should be in the NFL these days. Whatever this odd rotation at G, it will work itself out as long as they remain healthy. Schmitz and the improved play by Neal are going to stabilize the line overall. Second-team OL remains an issue, we're in trouble if we lose Thomas or Neal for an extended period, everyone has to know this. Jones, Thibodeaux and Neal all resembled top-10 picks last night. Both starting units actually whipped an opponent. Preseason or not, it has to feel good.
