I know I’m catch shit for this but since when do I care.
Happy we won but let keep things in perspective, the Cardinal’s are tanking and very well be worst team in the league. That first half was so atrocious, as well as the game against the cowboys, that I still have as much confidence in this team as I did before we played this game.
In matter of fact, I have less confidence. We should have never been that far behind, we should have never been behind at all. The 2nd half is what I expected from the time the game started. This is also why I hate “Quarterback comebacks”. No, not everything was DJ’s fault in the first half and there were plenty of drops but there were also plenty of questionable throws in the 2nd half and great catches. My point is, both halves were a team effort.
Great, this team showed some grit against the smallest kid in the playground, let’s see how they do against SF before talking about what a great win this was. As far as I’m concerned, until this team shows some consistency and fight against the better teams in the league they are still nowhere close to being a playoff contender.
At least we won’t be talking about drafting in the top 3 for another week, lol.

I fully expected to win this game by double digits and after having the first half we did, I’m more worried than I was before the game, but I also said SF will be the start. They don’t even have to win, just keep it close and look like a half way competent team for a full 4 quarters and I’ll be impressed. We have yet to see that this year and our schedule only gets harder from here out, that was supposed to be an easy game and we got schooled by a JV team in all aspects for an entire half. That’s unacceptable. |

I went and took a nap when they were losing and when I woke back up they were tied. Guys, I think it is all my fault when I watch...they suck.
Truthfully, glad they won, but...they came out with the same issues.

Just got up for work. Sounds like this thread is summing up that they didn’t do anything special and they really should have lost, am I wrong? I wouldn’t say they should have lost, they completed their biggest comeback since 1949 against a bad team. When was the last time they lost by moe than 40-0? These Giants love setting records, lol. |

We got a win in a game that we really had no business winning. Granted the Cards are as bad or worse than we are, so I'll keep it in perspective, but a big comeback is a big comeback and we don't do it that often. I'm bracing myself for Thursday night against a much better team.

As of now, no one knows what our offense is. 6 quarters of ineptitude gave way to a historic performance. I still don't believe in our O line. I still don't believe in our receivers and still have a ton of questions for Jones. My takeaways from this game:
Ezeudu is a better tackle than he is guard. Neal should be on notice when Thomas is back
McKeathan is as good as any one else at guard. He should hold down RG for a while.
Hyatt needs to start over Paris Campbell. He is a HUGE reason the game turned around.
The Giants pass rush is going to be the downfall of a lot of games. Dex picked it up in the 2nd half but there isn't a lot there. At this point Thibs is looking like a huge bust and Williams is once again a kitten.
McFadden is trash. We need to find something better.
Side note, I wish this team would move back to a 4-3 defenses and draft real DEs again. I'm tired of these crap outside LBs we keep drafting.

Impressed that they got it done behind a circus OL and a D that still can't stop the run. The D finally stepped up and had a few 3 and outs. They didnt have any in first 2 1/2 quarters. Cant have a huge comeback without there being some really bad stuff mixed in. The first half no show takes nothing away from the second half 31 points scored. Thursday they probably get beat by 17. |

Well, the second half was nice and all, but was that really necessary? Couldn't they have came out of the gate and played well? Whatever Daboll said at the half worked, and that's great, but at the half I was so deflated it made the game a burden to watch.

I normally don’t feel like this but or some reason I think they lose but will keep it closer than most expect, which I’ll be happy with. Just like I believe in bad wins, I also believe in good losses. I mean to put up ZERO points in 6 quarters of football with less than 150 yards is more impressive than the comeback last night. I just don’t see that happening again. |

Here's the difference ... most fans gets riled up when their team is getting trounced and, if active on social media, make angry posts about their team. (This includes me). Some go completely overboard and call for coaches to be fired after every bad play (those are the posts/threads that generally drive me out of here on game day). You, however, seem to revel in the team doing poorly because in your mind it validates your universally negative takes on everything related to this team. No one here thinks that a comeback win over the Cardinals means that this team is going to the Super Bowl or even the playoffs. But it turned out to be a fun game that was hard not to enjoy if you are a Giants fan. You, on the other hand, immediately come on here and start a thread entitled "I'm not impressed". Do you see a single other post or thread on here like that? I just find it super weird. It doesn't seem like you like this team or any of us on this MB. Maybe you should ask yourself why you are here and whether being here is good for your mental health. |

Was the win special? No, it wasn't. Was the win impressive? Hell yes it was. The Giants had several opportunities to just give up. When the Cardinals answered the Giants TD with another of their own to go up 28-7, I thought that was demoralizing. Instead, they kept at it and finished off the comeback.
Questions about the team still remain of course. When will they beat a really formidable opponent? Until then, the questions IMO are valid. We are far from a finished product. However, I feel a lot better this Monday than I did last Monday. Go Gmen
