How do we feel about the Oregon version of Bo Nix, cause I gotta tell ya, he's rocketing up there for me. Him and Jayden Daniels making serious gains on Williams and Maye in my brain.
I still need to watch his game from this weekend, but first impressions were good. Based on the eye test, I think he belongs in the conversation with Maye and Penix and may ultimately go before both. thegiantsboard.proboards.com/post/862374

First Impression: Potential Top-15 Talent Pros: - Prototypical size - Seems to work through progressions well - Tough to bring down, able to throw through contact - Mobile enough within pocket - Good athlete, enough speed to get outside pocket - Arm strength is NFL calibre, can attack all 3 levels - Late game composure, game tying drive/OT win Nice pass. Watched the first half against Clemson yesterday and Maye had another nice throw on the first drive of the game. You can see it at the 0:48 mark below:

Rough weekend for the hyped up QBs.
What's with Penix's pouting and running off the field with a jacket over his head at the end of the game with no walk to the center to greet the opponent? He couldn't even watch the game winning field goal his kicker made?
When I think of a Giants QB I think tough - Phill Simms, Jeff Hostetler, Dave Brown, Kerry Collins, Kurt Warner, Eli Manning, Daniel Jones...not this. People want this guy drafted early in the 1st?

This class may not have as many elite prospects as once reported, but I feel like there’s starting talent. Assuming they have what it takes between the ears, I think the first four QBs on your list can be starters in the right system….maybe the first five. I think Williams and Daniels have the tools to be successful in nearly any system, while Nix, Maye, and Penix seem like they’ll be a bit more dependent on everything around them. I haven’t watched the QBs from Texas or Michigan yet, and there are some lesser known prospects I’m interested in, but overall I’ve been fairly impressed with what I’ve seen.

Lots a good choices here Im still trying to decide if he is the next Lamar Jackson or next Justin Fields. Thats the "type" of QB he will be. The mold. Lamar being the much much better QB than Justin Fields. Lamar can read defenses and throw with accuracy. Justin, still struggles with that quite a bit. Not sure he ever gets there. What scares me about liking Jayden Daniels as much as I do right now, is seeing how great his WRs are, much like what Fields had at Ohio State. Nabers and Thomas are top 10 WR prospects in this draft class. Im trying to unbiasly watch him and know that, and wonder if he can do what he is doing through the air without those 2 star WRs. Love his ability to run though. If you love DJs running ability, you will flip your lid watching this kid run circles around defenders. Vick, yes similarities there. Daniels is my #1 QB right now. So much raw potential with this kid. We need to have him sit back a year though. Bring in a solid vet. The best thing of all too, is he has a rocket arm to throw the ball through the December winds in the Meadowlands.

Is Jayden Daniels the sleeper of this group of QBs? Been hearing more buzz about him than the other QBs lately and Heisman talk. He also has a WR with more yards than Marvin Harrison Jr. He doesn’t cry after games and runs better than Jones so two pluses in my book…But I’ve seen him listed anywhere between 170 and 215 pounder…I wonder what he really weighs. Isn’t he having a much better season than Anthony Richardson had last year when he got drafted in the top 5?

He’s certainly mobile, has a nice arm and his competition was against the SEC.

The reading of defenses could be a problem, though in the few games I watched him play he did make a few quick nice decisions with an accurate throw. Its up to the Giants scouting staff to properly evaluate. What he DOES bring to the table is the quickness and elusiveness of a Michael Vick. If we draft him other team would have to game plan for him alone, leaving other weapons unaccounted for. That would be a 2 for 1 type advantage for us. The other good news is that Bo Nix is up there, Michael Penix Jr (best deep ball in FBS) is there, Caleb Williams will be in the mix and JJ McCarthy who I think could be a decent game manager type... Don't forget Sam Hartman who is quietly having a great season at Notre Dame who I project to be a 2nd rnder. The more good news is that we have a HC who can develop a young QB. He did that with Josh Allen and to a degree DJ. Can you imagine what he can do with one of this class?

3 things #1 - Durability #2 - Strong Arm #3 - Mobility Thats what we need with our next QB. Someone who is available, someone who can throw a rocket in the Meadowlands December weather, and someone who can bail on a jailbreak, roll out, keeps his head up, and throws a dart. 2 out of 3 strikes for Penix there, not sure if his arm is as strong as has been reported but he does get it where it needs to be in wind and rain. Durability and mobility are definitely strikes.

I think Daniels is gonna climb if he does good when they get I'm on the wet board and tests like everyone thinks he will athletically.
My bet is he will fly up boards a month or so before the draft like Richardson did last year.

So much for Daniels being under the radar It was bound to happen. He’s playing out of his mind. Latest QB to have a meteoric rise his last season. I got a bit burned out watching random games of QBs when I didn’t know our draft position, so I still have more QBs to watch, but at this point I have Daniels and Williams neck and neck for QB1. His weight is my only real concern. I’ve seen him listed at 215lbs which isn’t terrible. Hopefully it’s a legit 215lbs with room to grow and not something closer to 200lbs.
