Is Jayden Daniels the sleeper of this group of QBs? Not anymore

Just watch a couple MI games and I am very impressed with JJ Mcarthy. Reads the field, throws with anticipations, very mobile and accurate. Has a couple of brain farts on occasion but hey who doesn't? Wouldn't be upset to see him in blue

I like the fact he played under Harbaugh. I don’t watch Michigan but I’d assume they run more of a NFL style offense with him running the show…might be wrong.

Well we're totally F'd now
Lol...why's that? If you're pulling for a draft pick there's still a very good chance we end up in the top-5. At #8, we may very well be in contention for Jayden Daniels. If not, this appears to be a deep class and Dabs continues to prove he can get the most out of his QB.
Remaining Schedules: - Carolina: vs. Atl | vs. GB | @ Jax | vs. TB
- New England: vs. KC | @ Den | @ Buff | vs. NYJ
- Arizona: @ Chi | @ Phi | vs. Sea
- Washington: @ NYJ | vs. SF | vs. Dal
- Chicago: @ Cle | vs. Az | vs. Atl | @ GB
- Las Vegas: vs. LAC | @ KC | @ Ind | vs. Den
- NY Jets: @ Mia | vs. Wash | @ Cle | @ NE
- NY Giants: @ N.O. | @ Phi | vs. LAR | vs. Phi
- Tennessee: vs. Hou | vs. Sea | @ Hou | vs. Jax
- LA Chargers: @ LV | vs. Buf | @ Den | vs. KC

Winning sucks, it's so much better to lose horribly every week. How's the team supposed to improve when they are playing better football now?

And they have one of the better coaches out there in either FCS or Pros. As you know by now Big10 schools do put out decent QBs. I might list them in another post

Someone quick, kidnap John Mara..... maybe we simply need to lock him in a closet, like the year the Pokes took Martin instead of Johnny Football, who Jer really wanted, lol.

Maye looks like he can be the next Josh Allen. Now Caleb is liking posts on social media like the one above making it known he doesn't want to get #1 to the Bears.

It’s interesting. Percentage points could be huge if
New England beats the Jets Arizona beats Seattle

Glad to see JJ is getting to show us who he is it's a pleasant surprise. I thought he was mediocre last night. I've only seen a few of his games, but he doesn't impress me, I'd stay clear day 1/2 personally. I thought all 3 other QBs outplayed him yesterday.

I agree I was rooting for him to pull a CJ Stroud when when Daye took the reigns off him in the championship game he showed that he is the player that were seeing in the NFL.

2025 QB draft class appears uninspiring. That's why if they want to have a vertical passing game they need to get there guy now last night Penix looked like the best of the 4 that CFP and made throws that need to be made in the pro's. Injuries aside it's gonna be hard to pass on that arm talent, I couldn't blame the Giants for taking a chance on him if he isn't one of the top 3 his arm talent is really pretty special deep tight window throws he's money. These are the decisions that make or break franchises. I hope schoen has more Accorsi in him then the last 2 GMs. EA took 2 a big chances bringing Colllins in going through alcoholism got him a trip to the super bowl, then trading the Giants future draft assets for Eli who brought home the hard ware twice. Thats how much a franchise QB means thats why when Taylor was in Buffalo he lead them to the playoffs they let him walk and double traded up for Allen then a 6-10 season followed haven't looked back since. It takes guts as a GM to correct your mistakes and move forward I hope Schoen has that in him we need a franchise leader.

That’s not like taking a chance on a healthy Collins who had drinking issues.

Is he going to the face of an NFL franchise next season? He was part of a story last night yet he wasn’t wow. i think he should be back in school b/c there too many games he was a manager. Heck, some Michigan game didn’t even throw the football.

You’re talking a #1 pick vs an ex-#1 pick who basically nobody wanted. You know when a team takes a chance on a kid with a substance issue it is less then 50% that person will becomes sober and lead a productive life Collins was a huge risk I get what your saying tho. The way it looks with 1 game left the Giants might even win because the Eagles are pretty bad right now they might be on the outside looking in with no partner to trade with. Schoen and Daboll have to find a way to get better and fast or they will be on the outside looking come this time next year. They can't sit on there hands in a perfect world everyone loses including the Giants and they move up to 2 and have to choose from Williams Maye or Daniels

Schoen took a risk with an injury prone DJ already and it burned him. DJ had concussions and leg/neck injuries before getting that contract from him.
Maybe that's a deterant for him to now take Penix. I will say though, Penix played every game the last 2 seasons now. His last injury was 2021. And he has been putting up monster stats and great game tape.
Tough call.
Whoever we take needs to be a star though. Can't have another Evan Neal swing and miss (so far).

While I DO think Penix has the best arm (and barring injuries) could be the the best QB in the class, the only way we draft him is if 2 things happen.
-First, we would have to move Neal to OG, preferably LG.
-Second, we would have to draft Fashanu, Alt, or sign a free agent.
I don't HATE Neal, and I'm not writing him off, but i don't have faith in him as our possible injury-prone QBs blind side protector

I think flyer worth considering if we don't go QB early is Joe Milton III from Tenn. Has one of the best arms in the draft easy. Throws bombs. Draft him have DJ and a 1 year Vet and let Milton try to develop.
He is big and is tough like Josh Allen. 6'5" 230. Scrambles around too. Very similar criticisms that Allen had as well.
In fact, similar to Anthony Richardson... Maybe a little less athletic. He wont be scared to throw the ball deep though thats for sure.
