Under contract but he wanted out. According to Panther fans, he dogged it at times last year.
Wow, fun read in the panthers forum. I think they are more delusional than Jets fans. They thought they could get 2 firsts and a second for him haha The Rams supposedly offered them that in 2022.

Just like I said when Daniel Jones got paid franchise QB money, for this trade/contract to pay off, he needs to dominate and be a top 5 pass rusher the next couple of years. They paid him like it, so now its on him and coaches to maximize his potential.
All the experts and NFL analysts love the guy. Im ok with the trade part of it, getting a solid pass rusher in his prime years for a 2nd and 5th is perfectly fine. 5 years at $150M is a mega contract. So he needs to be mega on the field. Hope it works out.
What will be really exciting is seeing this free up Thibs and Dex more often now.

This is what I want money being moved to premium positions I was getting worried Good comment on BBV: We wanted a GM who understood modern analytics. He’s diverted money from RB and S, invested in a young premier edge rusher, prioritized pass blocking in o line signings and even picked up cheaper RB who has a great reputation in pass pro. Modern franchise management. Went fishing to relax my Giants mental stress and the phone dinged with the trade for Burns and a few others with OLs and our new RB all I could of asked for more was a top tier OG but I think they were over priced .
