I've been a Giants fan since 1986. Ok. I've seen the highs and lows.. Ok.. 86,90 07' and 11' were good years ok.
What have we done since then? The OL has been in rebuilt for the last 12 years. The running game was a strong point, during that time and we've released our best running option to a divisional rival. Our Best WR was traded after being signed to a huge contract. We held onto Shepherd and Slayton, like they were the best show on turf. Waller is playing the Farve and Rogers hostage card, Mara wants Daboll to pipe down. Wink maintained a strong defense, but bumped heads with the HC and went to MI. We have no idea who will call plays on offense, and still, who is the QB? WTF is going on????We went from Historic to DESTROY IT,
I'm FKN Tired of this below mediocre product. The NY faithful can't even talk SHTT to our divisional opponents like we want to because we haven't beat them consistently for years!!
FIX THIS ****IN MESS ASAP!!! and FK anyone who has a problem with what I'm saying. THIS SHIT IS UNNACEPTABLE, for anyone that has defended, bought a jersey, paid for tickets, parking space, threw a playoff party, cable streaming, took off work the following day, and any loyalty for this franchise.
TAKE THE NFC EAST OVER AGAIN!!

C'mon...look on the bright side. You can still talk shit to WTF fans!
A bad owner keeps making bad hires. Bad GMs equals bad coaches and rosters. Shoen can still right the ship, but he's looking awfully Gettlemanish to this point. Bad/terrible contracts and use of cap space, bad trades (Waller), ineffective OLine personnel decisions, average (at best) draft classes, and poor coaching hires. Sounds a lot like the last guy, doesn't it? Schoen needs to hit on every move, or this team is in trouble, in 2024.
It starts, and ends, with Mara. He's shown zero ability to hire consistently competent people. Another losing season, and there will be more turnover in 10 months.

a team like the NYGs is frustrating because they have had so much SB success. We expect it more often.
Fans get pissed and want a great team.
It is what it is

I hope this made you feel better. I think it gets lost on fans how special those championship runs were and they weren't just "good" years they were awesome ones. Since Giants fans have only had to deal with one SB loss and no championship game losses I wonder what feels like to be a fan of a team that can't win a Super Bowl but have been in contention so many times like Bills and 49ers have recently.

I agree with all of that except for the Barkley opinion.
He has led us nowhere since his arrival just like Jones.
Unlikely he was gonna all of a sudden show the draft hype he never matched.
He had some impressive runs over the years and signs of greatness. However he was more consistently hurt and ran into a pile of his blockers rather than daylight than he was consistently impressive.
I realize I have an unpopular take on Barkley on this board but I hang with New York Giants fan transplants down here in the south and majority are on the same page as I am about The Bark.
I think Mara is the root cause of the debacle the team has transformed into.

So let me get this straight.
We suck and We've sucked.
We are most likely going to suck this year as well.
Speaking of wells. As long as this FO and HC "the outside guys" keeping using the wishing well team management approach as every other FO since Accorsi has been doing. We will continue to suck.
Does anyone see any directional determination from Reese forward that can be concluded?
What I see is a reactive form of misconstruction. There is a hole in the dam in this spot. Stick your thumb in it. There is crack over here, here is a piece of chewing gum. Oh, wait here is another gusher of water leaking. Here is a wine bottle cork........
After Ernie left. We have a QB. Let's put the best "Athletes" not players around him. They'll be the thumb in the dam that is needed.
Draft a WR. He'll ''fix the failing dam". He is the chewing gum that is needed.
Draft a RB "touched by the hand of God" That alone suggest we do not a supporting cast around him. He is the cork of salvation......
There is and has been no directional dedication to anyone that has been deemed the savior of the future. Am I correct in this??? IDK
Does anyone on this site see any visible path to a championship going forward? I fail to be able to connect the dots to what the FO / HC or any of them in the past decade have been attempting to accomplish. Other then we are doing this to band aid that.

Give me a pride of Lions aiming to reclaim their territory.. Over a bunch of pussy ass sheep who are waiting to be a meal. We’re all lifers who backed the colors through it all. Longevity.. Check the stats. We’re part of the original eight. A franchise that was built from the ground up in the biggest city in the world. The league would not be where it is today without us. Loyalty.. some use that word for sound.. While others live, breathe, and die for it. Our stadium has been packed to the brim for decades.
Not because we have nothing to do. It’s because we want nothing more than to be part of the action. The seventies made boys into men.. and men hardened. While the rats jumped ship.. others ditched the life preservers and went down with it. And lastly.. passion. Regardless of age, or the amount of years you put in. We’re all in on this franchise. The players change.. as well as the coaches. But one thing remains the same. The fans.. You will have to kill us to get rid of this crew. I’ll ride and die for this club.. Anyone who dares to get in my way will be steamrolled

TAKE THE NFC EAST OVER AGAIN!! I'm right with you kingb, You just put in writing what so many are thinking. We can argue on taking a shot at signing Waller, or Saquon's value with absolutely no help. But so many moves that are not controversial just failures. So many years of absolute bad football. So much losing, in the last 15 years how many winning seasons ? I don't know maybe 2-3 ? We had a winning season 2 years ago I don't remember the last one before that. I believe I heard in the last 10 years we have more losses than anybody else in the NFL. As of today we have 1 player that's proved himself as a stud player on offense, AT of course. Waller is up in the air right now, and not reliable because of injuries. The defense has I say 4 maybe 5 players that are above average good Dex, Thibs, Burns, Okereke, and Banks looks like a player as a rookie. I'm disgusted with our building and rebuilding and fails especially the OL over and over through the years. But this year with the signings both starters and depth of the OL I'm really hopeful. Our 1st pick is going to be offense whoever it is. After giving my heart and soul to this team for over 65 years since I was 10 yrs old I'm still ever hopeful that we improve. I think were still going to be a loser this year. Mediocre to terrible. Last in the NFC East. (Washington is going to have a powerful draft)

I actually think I can see what the current FO is trying to do. If you look at where they have been putting their money and early draft picks it is “in the trenches” supporting the QB they chose. The issue has been the people they have selected. Neal is lookin like a bust and Jones certianly did not work out last season. Will it eventually work? Only if they get the right people in those roles.

That is a model for "let's play not to lose" instead of "let's play to win". I see no difference than Gettelman / Shumer and Reese / McAdoo. Prime example. Our secondary was not half bad last year. A group that was on the verge of building their D around. What do they do. Let 2 main pieces walk away. Investing in a pass rush does not make the secondary better. A very compelling argument can be made for the opposite.

We are all tired of the losing and peaking at mediocrity like we did in 2022 and 2016 for that matter. However that hasn't slowed down their bottom line, which means that there isn't really any incentive for them to change tactics. I'm sure that they care about winning, but it isn't a priority IMO.

Additionally, I see a lot of our fans using our past SB wins as bragging points in debates with other teams fans. I find that conduct extremely hypocritical when we kill Cowboys fans for doing the same shit. I usually have a Giants flag in my driveway during the season, and I have no rebuttal when my 49ers fan wife or 49ers fan across the street tell me that I should fly the flag at half mast. Lol

Most teams will never have the QB's back. They just draft or sign next schmuck to throw under the bus. I have statistical evidence that suggests the whole It's a QB driven league narrative is a ruse.

Ok. Post all of the QBs that have won the past 10 Super Bowls. I'm living in recent memory, not the distant past. That's all the statistical proof I need. Additionally, if the league didn't feel that way, why are they even paying mid QBs a fortune?
