Young vs Epenesa for edge at this early stage. Young is a freak...incredible burst and bend. Can play the 3-4...or 4-3. Best player IMHO in college being safety Grant Delpit from LSU. I love Wirfs...he is a wrestling champion that IMO shall be top ten and an immediate right tackle stud....2nd round a no brainer.
This is fun stuff vs some fire the coaches in a rebuild idiocy rampaging the main boards.
We're in the Jones era like it or not...might as well trade our early 1 to a team needing one of the many top qb prospects coming out. ☺
YOUR PICKS 1: R1P3 EDGE CHASE YOUNG OHIO STATE 2: R2P3 OT TRISTAN WIRFS IOWA 3: R3P3 G TREY SMITH TENNESSEE 4: R3P38 S J.R. REED GEORGIA 5: R4P3 CB ESSANG BASSEY WAKE FOREST

I hate this draft mainly because Miami took Jeudy number 1 and the next recievers were major reaches, and while Young was a nice consolation prize in my mock offseason pass rusher and RT were addressed in FA(actually in my offseason Xman and Carter both developed and was a non priority and I traded back with Tua and Herbert sitting in my lap)
Unfortunately all the top dynamic guys were gone by my 2nd pick, people are going to scream why Etiene...but he is a dynamic playmaker that can be used like Reggie Bush/Sproles/Metcalf in a 2 back set that will flourish in Shurmer's system Also BPA at my pick Johnson was BPA at dire need at 3 Went BPA region(within 5 players of my pick)the rest of the way and found depth/developmental OTs and another ILB
Used Draftek
3: R1P3 EDGE CHASE YOUNG OHIO STATE 35: R2P3 RB TRAVIS ETIENNE CLEMSON 67: R3P3 WR COLLIN JOHNSON TEXAS 102: R3P38 OT SAAHDIQ CHARLES LSU 109: R4P3 LB MALIK HARRISON OHIO STATE 149: R5P3 OT LUKE CAMPBELL MICHIGAN STATE

3: R1P3 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA
Bulldogs best player?...this number 3 ranked team is steamrolling. Next weeks game vs the Irish should be a great one.
35: R2P3 C TYLER BIADASZ
Why not? He is the best center in the draft, and was on many of us pathetic underwear draft junkies all of last year till he announced he was staying in school.
WISCONSIN 67: R3P3 WR COLLIN JOHNSON TEXAS
Not playing vs Rice...too bad, This 6'6 freak has all the ball skills, quickness and route running we need...not over the top fast, but that's overrated with the offense we run. Did have knee issues...that is a concern. Give him a watch if you can...you will be impressed.
102: R3P38 S J.R. REED GEORGIA 109: R4P3
Late first rounder here?
CB TREVON DIGGS ALABAMA 149: R5P3
OT LIAM EICHENBERG NOTRE DAME
Needs some work...I see a future right tackle.

1st mock draft of the season.....
YOUR PICKS 1: R1P2 EDGE CHASE YOUNG OHIO STATE- Best pass rusher in the draft this year, cant go wrong with this one
2: R2P2 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU- Top WR available, if you ask me. He cant run a route to save his life, but MAN, this dude is BLAAAAAZING fast. He could be out DeSean Jackson or Will Fuller. Get this guy the ball and every time he touches it he can bring it to the house
3: R3P2 OT CALVIN THROCKMORTON OREGON- Big, Mean, Hog Molly which DG loves. Dude could step in day 1 and be our RT of the future or even fill in at OG if needed. Not the fastest OT, but he is quick enough.
4: R3P38 LB TROY DYE OREGON- Possibly the fastest LB in the draft, dude is a tackling machine that can play all over the field. Would be a great compliment to Connolly, we would have 2 quick tackling beasts in the middle of the field, oh and Dye can also cover
5: R4P2 CB TREVON DIGGS ALABAMA- Cant believe he is here, not gonna be here in the draft, dude is arguably a 1st round cb
6: R5P2 WR DEVONTA SMITH ALABAMA- No idea why I picked him, he was a higher ranked WR at the time, but not THE top WR out there.
7: R6P2 S SHYHEIM CARTER ALABAMA- Coverage expert, could be a possibility to step in at FS in due time. Could also play slot CB if needed
8: R7P2 EDGE TIPA GALEAI UTAH STATE- Mad man around the ball, dude is always making plays in the backfield. He stockpiles TFL's and sacks like theyre going out of style. He would be a great weapon on the outside
9: R7P12 G MEKHI BECTON LOUISVILLE- MASSIVE OT/OG i think he's like 6'8 340lb, but unfortunatley doesnt fully utulize his size and strength. He uses it well, but could use it better. Also not a bad athlete either, could be molded into a decent prospect. At worst he's a depth player
10: R7P33 OT LIAM EICHENBERG NOTRE DAME- LT at Notre Dame, but has ALOT of troubles with speed rushers, other than that he would be a much higher ranked prospect, LOL

YOUR PICKS 1: R1P2 WR JERRY JEUDY ALABAMA- Best WR to come out in 2020, dude would step in day 1 and be a game changer. POSSIBLY my favorite pick
2: R2P2 EDGE YETUR GROSS-MATOS PENN STATE- PROBABLY the 2nd best pass rusher in the draft, dude had like 20 something TFL's in his breakout season last year. Lets see what he can do in 2019
3: R3P2 OT CALVIN THROCKMORTON OREGON 4: R3P38 LB TROY DYE OREGON 5: R4P2 CB TREVON DIGGS ALABAMA 6: R5P2 S SHYHEIM CARTER ALABAMA 7: R6P2 EDGE TIPA GALEAI UTAH STATE
8: R7P2 WR JUWAN JOHNSON OREGON- Big Bodied WR who could be a size mis-match in the red zone, could see some good action and numbers this season with Herbert

He was not on the earlier mock lists I was doing ... was maybe looking for him as a tackle? Hahaha...we can draft one player to take up two offensive line spots, center and guard. BTW...he played well against Julian Okwara and Notre Dame for the season opener (where I noticed him for the first time as I most always watch the Irish) ....Eichenberg and Throckmorton are also solid picks at this stage...both will IMHO probably rise as the season progresses. Happy you are back drafting away Kase...love this first draft BTW...looking into Reagor after this mock you did and yowza...knew he was fast but look at them weight room numbers at 195 pounds. “The 5-11, 195-pound junior clocked a blazing 4.29 40, and his power numbers are also impressive: a 620-pound squat, a 380-pound bench and a 380-pound clean,”

We have so many needs across the team on Defense and Offense. We are definitely getting a top 10 pick again this year we will have needs at DL(END),LB(Pass Rusher), FS,and CB. On Offense we need a No.1 WR and bonafide LT so we don't make the same mistake with Jones that we did with ELI. But in all fairness it seemed like we never had enough cap or they were not willing to spend it on a bonafide LT until it became a glaring weakness.

Went strictly BPA(within the top 5 players depending on position) Draftteck Mind boggling Miami doesn't take qb here,as much as I live Jeudy I'd be getting an extra 2 and 4 this year and 1st and 3rd next year at the very least to move back.

With us at 6 makes things a bit more interesting
6: R1P6 WR JERRY JEUDY ALABAMA 38: R2P6 TE GRANT CALCATERRA OKLAHOMA 70: R3P6 EDGE TRAVON HILL MIAMI 102: R3P38 G TOMMY KRAEMER NOTRE DAME 112: R4P6 LB JACOB PHILLIPS LSU 152: R5P6 OT LUCAS NIANG TCU 184: R6P6 RB TREY SERMON OKLAHOMA 221: R7P6 C JORDAN JOHNSON CENTRAL FLORIDA 230: R7P15 QB JALEN HURTS OKLAHOMA 248: R7P33 OT LIAM EICHENBERG NOTRE DAME
Again went BPA Jeudy was a no brainer Again after round 1 I went BPA within 5 players to see if a need was within logical reach
At 38 with no linemen in reach went with the top guy on the board(used fanspeak this time as Draftek hasn't updated yet) I now have a potentially devastating 12 formation with Jeudy,Sheppard,Engram and Calcaterra along with Barkley and Jones. O line help came mid rounds as did 2nd level reinforcements..all in my BPA style

6: R1P6 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA OT vs WR? Thomas vs Jeudy? Not the fantasy fan decision, but the solid football one. I'd take a Tyron Smith over a OBJ anytime and anyplace, all day and every day. No questions asked. However, that is woulda, coulda, shoulda banter...we don't know how Thomas will be in the NFL. From what I watch and have watched on Saturday, Thomas is good. Really good. Never gets beat. Jones need two players to grow old with. Go to receiver. Tackle. Watching his first game and his passing to the "no" names, and those hits he took at QB from his blind side, I'm going left tackle. 38: R2P6 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU We need a WR. This class is loaded at WR. Gotta get a WR. Jeudy is THAT talented, so is the entire Tide wide out position...yet another reason to try and get that LT spot locked down in the first is, welp...the depth of this deep historic WR class. You just know a top 1st round talent and td maker is going to fall to the early second round. I will not be pained as I was when we took Daniel Jones if we take Jeudy in the first. BTW, If it comes down to Higgins and his 6'4 skillset, might go with his huge skilled frame vs Reagor in this spot. Both should light it up with the the Jones noodle arm. 70: R3P6 LB JACOB PHILLIPS LSU LSU is quietly good this year. This LB is quietly a beast. 102: R3P38 S J.R. REED GEORGIA Is the x-man from alabama that much better then.... Reed? 112: R4P6 DL MARVIN WILSON FLORIDA STATE Round 4? Guy is a beast first round talent. Easily. Love these early mocks. 152: R5P6 G BEN CLEVELAND GEORGIA 184: R6P6 Another talent from the Bulldog's famed OL. Round 5? Silly mocks. Easy DG gem here. CB ESSANG BASSEY WAKE FOREST 221: R7P6 Bassay could be a first round talent when all said...he's glue on slots. C MATT HENNESSY TEMPLE 230: R7P15 Could be a starter if he gets a bit stronger. TE HARRISON BRYANT FLORIDA ATLANTIC Nice blocking tight end prospect...we know Shurmur loves him some tight end. Why not Bryant in the 7th? The guy is an NFL talent. 248: R7P33 CB THOMAS GRAHAM JR. OREGON Highly skilled CB...size will push him down. This is too far down. Might as well grab a CB in round 7, as we have n extra for Eli Apple. Remember him? For the woulda, coulda, shoulda fans...Tunsil. Remember passing on the bong man? ...for the rotten Apple?

IOWA STATE
Usual BPA method... The "we need to allocate 80% of our recourses on defense" crowd wont be happy, but lots of trench meat,a TE and Jeudy for Jones will help keep the pressure off the young defense

Anticipating big changes in the players we will be selecting after this week as I see us picking between 10-20,meaning the top end studs will be gone and BPA will be more foriegn to some needs at certain positions

This just might be the perfect draft Again BPA Download Results
7: R1P7 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA No brainer,Wirfs went number 3 believe it or not and Jeudy was taken right before me.Major upgrade at RT next year and future franchise LT
39: R2P7 WR HENRY RUGGS III ALABAMA Shocked he fell to me here,I had the kid from TCU targeted here, again by far BPA,and some say the closest to Odell skillset wise with Tyreek Hill speed. This offense is now frightening to play against.
71: R3P7 TE ALBERT OKWUEGBUNAM MISSOURI BPA on the board, another no brainer, pair him with Engram,Ruggs 3 and Sheppard with Barkley, good luck.
102: R3P38 LB MONTY RICE GEORGIA Another BPA,from the new linebacker Factory of Georgia, get some more youth and depth at the 2nd level
113: R4P7 DL LABRYAN RAY ALABAMA BPA,some defensive trench meat and depth from a proven program
152: R5P6 OT YASIR DURANT MISSOURI BPA,(within picks),get a developmental tackle for when Thomas moves over to LT
185: R6P7 G ZACH ROBERTSON ARIZONA STATE BPA,interior line depth and developmental plate
222: R7P7 EDGE DAELIN HAYES NOTRE DAME Developmental depth at edge rusher
238: R7P23 LB MARCEL SPEARS JR. IOWA STATE More depth at the 2nd level
248: R7P33 QB COLE MCDONALD HAWAII Developmental player to possibly be Jones',backup
I can't see anyone not loving this draft Potential top 5 O line Mad playmaker all over the field for Jones Some reinforcements for the front 7 to augment what we did in the draft this year on defense and in trades..

He is my favorite linemen as well(I know, strange but he is all lunchpail and probably the safest lineman pick in years )and if things go to plan he goes 25 or more picks ahead of us. I can't fault him for wanting to get his degree, and that extra year in school for a lineman actually helps because it's an extra year for his body to develop and mature... His linemate(Jackson I think his name is?) would probably be the one to benefit the most if this happens

Not nearly as good as my last one, Went very heavy offense (worked out that way),so hopefully we did something in FA on defense and with our picks this past year could work
7: R1P7 WR JERRY JEUDY ALABAMA *disclaimer* The number 2-4 players were sitting there for me,Jeudy,Herbert and Fromm,if this was reality I'd be trading back and looking at Lamb or Ruggs and extra picks.. No trades, obvious BPA
39: R2P7 OT ALARIC JACKSON IOWA This actually wasn't a BPA but a projection,I think he ends up a late 1st round pick, and if as rumored Wirfs stays in school he goes higher Either way a solution for T
71: R3P7 LB KENNETH MURRAY OKLAHOMA BPA at a possible weakness
102: R3P38 C DARRYL WILLIAMS MISSISSIPPI STATE BPA on ths line
113: R4P7 TE LUKE FARRELL OHIO STATE Replacement for Ellison
152: R5P6 LB TUF BORLAND OHIO STATE Productive lb ,BPA
185: R6P7 OT JACK DRISCOLL AUBURN More depth and developmental on the line
222: R7P7 EDGE DAELIN HAYES NOTRE DAME Another BPA
238: R7P23 WR LEE MORRIS OKLAHOMA BPA at a position that will probably need at least 2 bodies next year,Latimer will probably join Fowler as ex employees, and who knows with Tate and while not getting the recognition as the others past and present have been getting (Lamb,Brown)has been productive in his limited chances
248: R7P33 DL NYLES PINCKNEY CLEMSON
Trench meat for the D line
