hmmmmmm could this drop his stock a little bit??? That would be great for us Not really Diluted samples happen all the time.. If a masking agent was detected then it would be a concern If he has had any prior history of a bad test then its a concern

I was thinking today that it would be interesting if we did a thread of who you would have picked guys at each spot after the draft. This could be completely separate from the mock draft contest and everything like that. I almost posted this in there, but I don't want things to get too cluttered for TEM and others working on that contest they're running so well. Obviously it would be a little bit of cheating because you could kind of mold your choices to make a draft with more information that teams would have at the time... For example: Oh I would pick this WR in the 2nd round, but it was crazy that ____ was still on the board for us in the 5th, so I will go with _____ position/player with this pick.
I think it would be an interesting way to see how our desired picks would stack up vs the actual draft class and we would be able to do it for every pick since we would know where we ended up selecting for each pick (in the event we trade or anything like that). Maybe it could be the post draft contest or something like that and we could vote at the end of the year to see who had the best rookie class.

Great blocker.. I'm coming around to being not opposed to a trade of Engram...and he does good enough blocking his assignments.. But I keep going back to those games in 86 when we started that run where we were nuking teams on offense when Erheart started to run the passing game through Mowatt and Bavaro (the numbers systems ..just assigning the TEs the WR numbers for option routes)..2 great inline run blockers that were big play threats.. Woerner has untapped reciever skills..could be another Jake Ballard Kaden Smith,Woerner,Slayton, this years dynamic playmaker..Barkley.. Your 2 outside guys average 75-80 catches for 1100 yards Your 2 inline TEs each average 60 catches for 750 yards... Top 10 o line Barkley now averages 2700 combined yards a game... This would in effect give us probably a top 3 offense in every category thats important including time of possession...and more importantly morph styles even from situation to situation

No trades Very obvious we will miss out on a need with a meaningful pick with a 60 player gap..
Went with fanspeak Steve.. BPA meets value and need..
4: R1P4 OT TRISTAN WIRFS IOWA
BPA Value and need one spot over Wills Building a great O line helps the entire team inducing keeping the defemse off the field
36: R2P4 C LLOYD CUSHENBERRY LSU
This was relatively easy as he was 36 on this big board,
Most of the 2nd tier edge rushers and the starting caliber Cs were in no man's land
Interior of line fortified
99: R3P35 LB JORDYN BROOKS TEXAS TECH
Within 5 players of my BPA. No brainer..an actual mlb that is also good in coverage You don't take a guy at 4 to cover TEs..
110: R4P4 CB AMIK ROBERTSON LOUISIANA TECH
Starting day 3 you can be a little more liberal with BPA Here we have a contender for starting slot corner within 7 players of my pick
150: R5P4 WR QUEZ WATKINS SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI 183: R6P4
A little early for him..but he is my fallback for the must have dynamic playmaker outside...Slayton 2.0 with possibly more upside
OT TREY ADAMS WASHINGTON 218: R7P4
Medical competitive advantage... best tackle in the country in 2017.. Still has very sound fundamentals ..if he gets even half his athletic ability back we have a steal and a starting T
EDGE CHAUNCEY RIVERS MISSISSIPPI STATE 238: R7P24
Missed out on the decent edge guys... spray and pray back here
RB DARIUS ANDERSON TCU 247: R7P33
Armed Bradshaw clone...
EDGE BRYCE HUFF MEMPHIS
Part 2 of my spray and pray method..he actually had decent stats with TFL and sacks the past 2 years
255: R7P41 WR ISAIAH WRIGHT TEMPLE
The all around dynamic playmaker that can do all the horizontal backfield stuff, the underneath air raid stuff, the occasional deep shot out of the slot,KR/PR With a chip on his shoulder for being snubbed and the last pick of the draft..
Tates replacement

Was between him and Brooks actually at 99,didn't like the linebacker depth for a 3 down speed guy that can cover TEs (to satisfy that crowd)though I like Dye..Brooks is much better.... Robertson is going to be a killer slot corner. Joe Judge type, fundamentally sound in all areas, highly athletic, very loose hips so he can change directions on a dime reacting to a slot WR running option routes This might actually be the draft I use for the contest

So he would compete with Ruiz at C, and the loser would be the backup C/G. Too good a value to pass at #110. And we always have injuries. Runyan can also be an interior guy. 7th round flyer on him as I like his upside. Could be a nice backup G/T at worst. Basically I want to nail home on the OL. Fix it. Im tired of it being a weakness. Spend big draft capital on it. And I love being able to get Baun and Harrison in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Keeping the 4 pick and grabbing our starting right tackle next year, trading back the 2 for another 3, and reaching a "bit" for the hip, and eventual starter in a year or two...Lucas who never gave up a sack. Coming back hard for a potential home run at WR, who might drop due to injuries...one of best after catch guys in the draft. Delpit for free safety...some open field tackling issues, but at this spot insanity to take him for what he does well...Johnson, who would a round 1 pick any other year, gotta grab 2 the year of the WR...too far back IMHO for him, but what the hey, I'll take it...Tyler Badass at this spot to go with my tackles...I'm thinking of Barkley and some lanes between the tackles, Gaither as the athletic OLB...Taylor for short yards, Calvin for a swing all over the line guy, Woerner for block first and catch some...has hands, think we can get more from him as a sleeper...Bassey and Roach as slot safety competition and the Roach because Gettleman will have to get a rotational run stopper somewhere in the draft to scratch that DT itch.

5 more days Some smoke we might trade down Remember folks The correct way to build a football team is build the trenches, especially when you have spent the previous 2 top 10 picks on a RB and QB and have failed so far at building the O line... And weapons to get the new QB developed faster....
Trade back with Chargers
6: R1P6 OT JEDRICK WILLS ALABAMA
BPA,some late smoke from reliable sources trending in this direction. To me watching him,not only is he an instant day one starter at RT but he could already be a more fundamentally sound RT than half the starters already
36: R2P4 C LLOYD CUSHENBERRY LSU
BPA C 2 instant day 1 starters on the line...
37: R2P5 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU
Bad showing at the combines doesn't show how explosive he is... Odell like play opposite Slayton and a new and improved o line
Me like
71: R3P7 EDGE BRADLEE ANAE UTAH
Found this edge lb gem here. Thank you very much
99: R3P35 LB JORDYN BROOKS TEXAS TECH
Highly athletic inside lb that can cover TEs...you get these guys at this part of the draft, not at 4
110: R4P4 CB AMIK ROBERTSON LOUISIANA TECH
Immediate competition for the starting slot corner spot
150: R5P4 G JON RUNYAN MICHIGAN
On many teams he could actually be a plug and play guy on the line He is deptb here for an eye to start somewhere in 2021
183: R6P4 WR QUEZ WATKINS SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
Slayton 2.0 Wasn't a priority after getting Reagor..but adding him to Reagor and Slayton...wow
218: R7P4 CB STANFORD SAMUELS III FLORIDA STATE
Not a bad get this far back
238: R7P24 RB DARIUS ANDERSON TCU
Bradshaw 2.0
247: R7P33 EDGE TREVIS GIPSON TULSA
Decent prospect this far back
255: R7P41 WR ISAIAH WRIGHT TEMPLE
Dynamic Swiss army knife playmaker who can also return kicks and punts
Love this haul
Offense is set up long term with a young really good O line and a Chiefs starter kit for playmakers..Garrett with all that speed ...yeah . Some.decent defense as well

Best draft ever. lol...I used the PFF mock generator, and copied the image it created. Oh well...trust me...it was a great draft. Actually, sort of posting it up as to how silly it was...the Chargers were offering me every one of their picks to get a QB....then trading back every 2 spots for more 3's and 4's... If Burrow or Tua was left, we have it made...seems not any interest in Herbert or Love. I drafted so many players...I could start my own team. I even nailed QB James Morgan at 183...so I had an entire offense ready to kick it. www.pff.com/draft/nfl-mock-draft-simulator

Oh crap...Chargers offered EVERY pick this year, and next years 1st....for a QB. Gonna try for 1st rounders forever You know, not finishing with the 3 pick could forever be the decade long QB and coaching/GM hell .... and a relevance killer of this franchise. We failed to trade back at 2...took a running back of all picks....this year we have a 4 pick...could have been a 3 or even a 2....yay, we won meaningless games for a coach who was a goner anyway....and the trade back for a QB is insane for acquiring boatloads of picks ...rookie QB deal...could get this team on the cusp if we would of lost 1 our 2 more games...sadly, our future lies in Detroit. If they trade out, we go that tackle. If they pick Brown or Okudah vs a trade (they would be silly not to trade back and still get, Brown or Okudah)...we can reasonably be a season away from contending on a... one single trade back...still getting that tackle, and a hell of a lot more. The Lions are King.

I tried to go with a no trade back mock as realistic as I could with a mix of guys I like and think will be good fits for the team along with guys I think they will be interested in.
4: R1P4 OT JEDRICK WILLS ALABAMA- My gut tells me Wills will be the pick in the first. He’s technically sound, there’s the Alabama connection with judge, and it’s a major area of need. Him and Thomas are the most pro ready in my opinion and want one of them in round one.
36: R2P4 C MATT HENNESSY TEMPLE- there are rumors Hennessy could go round one. A lot of people are touting him as C #1 in the draft. He is a really solid center and if he’s there at 36 I would be pretty surprised if they passed on him. Wills/Hernandez/Hennessy/Zeitler/Solder would be a much improved OL
99: R3P35 LB LOGAN WILSON WYOMING- there’s been links between the Giants and Wilson. He is one of the best options if they miss out on that first wave of LBs in Simmons, Queen, and Murray. He is a former DB, so he’s pretty damn solid in coverage. I could see why the Giants would be interested in him, especially since there’s no certainty that Connelly will be the same guy at least year 1 off the ACL.
110: R4P4 EDGE ALEX HIGHSMITH CHARLOTTE- We went with a small school edge last year in Ximines and I think we found a really good one for the value. Highsmith has a really impressive get off and I think would be a nice addition to the edge rotation.
150: R5P4 WR QUEZ WATKINS SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI- I have no idea what Judge, Garrett, and company want in a WR whether it’s speed, size, or whatever the case may be. Watkins is someone who I think would be a great addition to what we have currently at WR. We were able to hit with Slayton in the 5th and Watkins would be a possibly better and more explosive version of Slayton in the 5th this year.
183: R6P4 DL MCTELVIN AGIM ARKANSAS- he’s an incredibly talented DL who can pressure the QB and make plays in the backfield. He had a lot of attention on him since he was clearly the best DL Arkansas had, so he disappeared at times. With Tomlinson, Lawrence, Williams, etc there would be guys who would attract more attention than Agim so he would be able to be one on one where he shows he can really impact the game.
218: R7P4 OT YASIR DURANT MISSOURI- I like him as a developmental OT. At worst he’s another depth guy to go along with Wheeler.
238: R7P24 CB REGGIE ROBINSON II TULSA- 6’1 really talented CB from Tulsa. He would be nice depth at the very least. Hopefully one of the other CBs not being Baker or Bradberry would be able to take that 3rd slot.
247: R7P33 RB DARIUS ANDERSON TCU- nice compliment for Barkley and Lewis. I like his game a lot
255: R7P41 EDGE BRYCE HUFF MEMPHIS- another edge to throw into the rotation. I like him as a late round pick
