I really hope you're wrong! Frackwell looks good getting off the ball beating his blocker and maybe Xman can develop after that rookie year to be more disruptive.. Hasn't the Giant philosophy always been you can't have too many pass rushers. Xman is more hope than substance, Frackwell needs to get back to his play from 2 years ago. Neither inspires a great deal of confidence in me. I'm hopeful but that's where it ends.
What in the world is wrong with bringing someone back in that had double digit sacks last year at a league minimum for 1 year ?
1. being underpaid for what he thinks he's worth can be problematic especially if his field time is much less. He needs to have a better year than last season to get a contract. 2. they have 2 3rd rounders that the team needs to see if they can become players for the future. Carter and Xman 3. everyone is hung up on those 10 sacks as if they made a difference with this defense. Do they matter or not? Williams battle cry is they don't. 4. he's not disruptive on a consistent basis which is what they need at the position. See Bosa who had 9 sacks (i think) but was constantly chasing the QB around while getting double teamed freeing up another player. If you think this team is a pass rusher a way from being a champion then be happy with him i guess. I'm not in that group and I want a more disruptive player at that position which needs to be the focus for the off season in 2021.

The same was said about Golden when he came over that you are saying about Fackrell.. The tape I saw was fackwell is the better player especially beating his blocker. So far Golden is not signed and I don't know if the Giants have to sign him now that he was designated or if they can refuse and withdraw what they did.. Nah, not that I recall. The biggest thing on Golden when he came over was that he was still rehabilitating from that devastating injury he had, and previous to the injury he was a sacker. 2019 was his first full season back from that injury, and I think he got almost to where he was in 2016. I think now he is there and it would show with him getting to the QB. Golden was a full time starter. Fackrell was a role player last year, and his whole career. He was healthy all 16 games and only played 40% of the snaps with 1 sack. Not one start. I think Fackrell is a solid role player, hopefully he can turn into a diamond in the rough here and be a great rotational guy. Golden had 19 sacks and 120 tackles in 4 years with the Cardinals Fackrell had 16 sacks and 110 tackles in 4 years with the Packers Golden got injured while Fackrell lost playing time to a FA player. Pretty much neither player should be what the Giants are looking for long term which is why Xman and Carter need to get a lot of playing time to see if they can become the next Tuck for this team.. How can the Giants do this without a preseason?

And really, 2018 for Golden he was coming off the nasty injury and not even close to 100%. He only played part of the year after missing all of 2017. The jump from his rookie year to year 2, and from his 4th year to his 5th makes me think he is a legit sack guy when healthy. Fackrell was a backup, fill in, player. Ill say it again, I hope he gets those 2016 numbers, but to me he is like a Tollefson type player.

It's been a while since I saw Fackwell highlight video which I liked but looking at the numbers back up roll player seems about right. It's nice to actually talk football and I think this discussion has run it course. Enjoyed the time.. GO GIANTS!!

I don't understand the week 10 part. After week 10 he can just up and leave to sign with another team?
Weird.

Does Fackrell work in Texas or something? North Dakota maybe? Apparently you guys think he fracks well. I have no knowledge of that. I really don't know this player. But lets hope we strike oil with this guy

I mean, he is in good company with his stats from last year in several important pass rushing statistics.

LW isn't too far behind him. Knockdowns yes. Pressures, sacks, hurries... no. Williams is also the only inside linemen in the top 11 list with the best OLB's in football, with 24 pressures in 362 snaps compared to Golden's 44 pressures with 917 snaps. Williams also has the same amount of QB hits as Golden with 555 less snaps. Edit: My bad, 374 snaps with the Jets.

Williams is also the only inside linemen in the top 11 list of mostly OLB's, with 24 pressures in 362 snaps compared to Golden's 44 pressures with 917 snaps. Williams also has the same amount of QB hits as Golden with 555 less snaps. That is correct. Williams is a better DT than Golden is a DE/OLB.

Currently he needs to be 4x better then Golden or is it 3x I'm not sure what Golden's new numbers will be..

LW isn't too far behind him. Knockdowns yes. Pressures, sacks, hurries... no. I don't know about that, Golden was 1 of only 6 players in the league who had double digit sacks. He also happened to be 5th in the league in pressures. He also had 72 tackles.
I really don't know why the team and fans didn't want this guy ? Especially on a defense that desperately needs help.
