Jones is just starting his 2nd year in the NFL with no real offseason learning a new system with all new coaches???? He came out of Duke, not A national championship program. He will improve and mature.
So many great QBs in the NFL looked like crap their first 2-3 years. Give the guy a freakin break!
Did any of you guys reall think this team was going to light it up this year?

You're clearly pissed off and want Gettleman fired. I get it. But "F" is just ridiculous, and the INT was on Engram. Don’t pay any attention to him - he “analyzes“ everything in a ridiculous manner. I'm learning not to pay attention to people with idiot narratives these days..

I’m excited to hear how good he’s going to be when he puts it all together(again). He really is the new Eli, because we like to blame his turnovers on other people.Good old Danny D’oh.

He isn't getting better in terms of awareness. That first fumble was a complete joke. He had what seemed to be a wide open WR, pump fakes the throw, then literally holds the ball with one hand over his shoulder like a pizza for at least a second. Thomas will get blamed for the sack, but Jones was to blame.
There are many other variables in play, but focusing on Jones alone, he has to get better.

If he is going to carry the team he should stop the demoralizing turnovers You're clearly pissed off and want Gettleman fired. I get it. But "F" is just ridiculous, and the INT was on Engram. I'm a Gettleman fan, and don't disagree. Turnovers happen, but Jones continues to have inexplicable turnovers every game. He simply has to get better.

And was one play away from a game-winning drive, 17 point comeback. The team would have hoisted Jones on top of their shoulders after the game like they did to Parcells in '86. Good point - but some posters are allergic to the other side of the coin or the glass is half full not half empty. it’s the way they roll. The other side of the coin that we never flip? Yeah ok. I can live in dream land too. Man what a great performance! 2-0 for great performances! Yay! Where is our trophy for playing?

for all the good things he does, it gets erased by the turnovers. He needs to get that under control, pronto.

Wasn't great today, battled in the 2nd half. I'm not worried about him however. His game today doesn't erase the tremendous promise he's shown this far. This was his 14th start.

ended his TD streak and kept his turnover streak alive. The kid has big potential but he has to clean up.

I don't have much faith in Danny Boy at the moment.. Need to see him start progressing. All i'm seeing is mediocre with a huge tendency to give the ball up. Luckily he's got an entire season to prove me wrong.
Also before some of you jump the gun i'm not advocating giving up on him. that would be foolish. Just don't share the same confidence in his ability as some of you do.

Now he looks exactly like a second-year QB struggling to learn a new system with no offseason or preseason. Both factors of which I admittedly underestimated.

Meh, too many turnovers for a QB that will become a game manager at a ceiling...if he does not correct these fumbles and picks this year, we will be continuing our decent into QB hell....

Hold’s the ball low , does not step up in the pocket ( when there is a pocket ) Needs to run more to keep defense honest. His pocket presence is questionable. Ratley late drop should have been caught ( key play in game ) CJ Board should get more reps. I thought that was a drop that ball was defended defender got his hand in there really arm good play. They have a good secondary.

I'm still bullish on the direction of this team and this includes Jones. They all hit their stride somewhat around week 8 ish..i hope they can figure out another weapon...didn't watch but looking at the stats looks like this was the first game Slayton was heavily gameplanned for and nobody really stepped up opposite him..especially after Shepard went down

He isn't the one trick pony that our people said that he would be.

Probably a C. What is really starting to concern me is I am starting to expect Jones to turn the ball over...like it's an inevitability....
He has the talent, but the main reason I didn't like him coming out of college was because of the turnovers. He has to clean it up. He pump fakes at times when it looks to me like he doesn't need to, holds the ball too long at times and seems to lose awareness in the pocket.
He's got a long way to go...sorry that is how I see it.
