And then everything will be awesome! Just like it would have been in 2018 if we drafted one for those guaranteed bona fide All Pro Hall of Fame QBs!!! But no!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we're picking 1, there is not a chance we don't take him Unless we decide to move on from Barkley and that shredded knee.... and take a running back 1st overall.

I just don't think that's the Giants way. If they do lean that way, you gotta assume Judge is the deciding factor there. I think trading the pick is more likely. And then Gettelman willl say in interviews later that that was his plan the whole time.

I just don't think that's the Giants way. If they do lean that way, you gotta assume Judge is the deciding factor there. I think trading the pick is more likely. And then Gettelman willl say in interviews later that that was his plan the whole time. Firstly, I do not think they are picking 1... I know...Brady was a 113th rounder, and the Chiefs got a gunslinger with a brain later then pick 1...and Rodgers slipped...yes, scouts miss things The Beach Boys were overrated, and Allen was throwing ropes to screens into the stands..on and on. This is an undeniable fact....Trevor Lawrence is the most talented QB I personally have ever seen in college ball, and I believe 99.9999% of every scout believes the same thing. Does this mean he is a sure thing?...well, more sure than others...but nothing is. All that said....you can not compare Jones to Manning...I hear that over and over. Manning did this ...thus, Jones will do that. It's the most asinine reasoning fans come up with his turnovers...the fact is, if Lawrence is sitting there for most teams, he is being picked. Trading Lawrence would be this teams curse for my lifetime...the team that trades Lawrence will forever live in mocksville. If Jones got rid of the turnovers, he might be a decent game manager...but Patrick Mahomes > Alex Smith...all day and night, all year long. Lawrence > Jones...by a lot.

I'll be watching Fields closely this year too. His season starts in October. His style is the hot style right now. Run like the wind, throw some dimes. Lawrnce isn't quite the athlete but he is still a runner.
I need to study Trey Lance a bit too. I hear good things about him. Wait, is he even playing this season?

Uh ooh Lawrence down (Ribs/wind?) Sounds like he's ok, and I agree (hope) that we will improve enough as the season rolls on to be not in contention for that pick, even if it means winning some "meaningless" games in November/December...

Spicoli is legit for sure I just don't think we will be near enough for thks to be an option Unfortunately we legit will have to go o fer 2020 to even have a shot at him Our strength of schedule will knock us out of all tie breakers for worst record Now add in our defense is showing signs of potentially being good enough to carry the team enough for 4 or 5 wins while the offense figures it out..

Now if we are looking for a RB while SQB figures out how to run in the NFL, I wouldn't mind Etienne (hell I'd take N Harris from Alabama but I'm greedy - I'd also take a coupla thier WRs but thats another discussion) Unfortunately Etienne won't last beyond top 10 and we have greater needs than that at that spot..
Now I heard a rumor that Clemson has a couple few pass rushers on the squad and they are not bad..but its just a rumor ya know..

lots of college QBs have great careers and then go to the pros and bomb out, it happens all the time..

No way we get the #1 pick and Gettleman stays how many games do you feel we need to win for the team to keep DG? I don't think it will be based on an arbitrary number of wins. It will be about if this team is making marked and verifiable improvement as the season goes forward. If they show they are improving, DG will get another year for continuity.

Pretty much this So far the defense is showing just this Need the offense and mainly Jones to step it up a bit

I dont think the number is concrete but there certainly is a bottom number the team needs to hit. We cant win 2 games while showing improvement and him stay. Just dont see that happening.

Falcons Jets and Redskins definitely, Carolina if they can move up Jaguars if they ate in reach of someone better Dallas is now in a really awkward spot with the added kick in the nuts of being in cap hell. Giants only if they have number 1 overall

Giants only if they have number 1 overall I still dont see the Jags going QB unless its Lawrence. I forgot about Carolina but Bridgewater is playing well there. I could see Dallas going in on Fields if he has a great year again. They are set up nicely to get a rookie QB and have success.

Problem is that they won't have enough firepower to move up Would be awkward if we have the number 2 Id be asking for Lamb, their 2 this year and 1st rounder in 2022 minimum
