There are a few knowledgeable posters there... its who I intermingle with... It's where those relics that want to go back to 1990 era Giants football all seemed to have gone...mainly because Ed is one of those people (he is the biggest Gettleman apologist I have ever seen and still blames Reese for why the team stinks ) Zierlein just mocked us Vera-Tucker I honestly havent given him much thought, I DO know that he is general consensus top Interior OL prospect, just havent done much research on him since I didnt see us picking a guard in the 1st until now. Then again is he THAT much better than Davis, Humphrey, or Carman

Zierlein just mocked us Vera-Tucker Yeah, with Slater going to the Cowboys right before us....both players can play tackle or guard....Slater IMHO from watching the video is the better prospect, just unreal balance and feet. Darrisaw went after us, and then Waddle Honestly, I want that guy on OL badly as a day 1 starter, but I might take Waddle over Vera-Tucker in that scenario Tough call I think id still go with Waddle. Is the drop off between Vera-Tucker and say Wyatt Davis that much, because at least we could most likely get Davis in the 2nd

So if we sign Adoree Jackson, I would LOOOOOOOOOVE for the draft to play out like this R1 P11 TE Kyle Pitts - Florida R2 P10 RB Najee Harris - Alabama R3 P12 G Jackson Carman - Clemson R4 P11 EDGE Quincy Roche - Miami R6 P12 DL Khyiris Tonga - BYU R6 P17 WR Damonte Coxie - Memphis This could go down as the best draft in history if it plays out like this. If it goes like this, DG would be tenured for life, LOL. SQB and Harris would be like Bradshaw and Jacobs times 1,000, our offense would be friggin PROLIFIC with all of these weapons If Gettleman picks a RB at the top of the second round, I am storming the building.

NOWAY Harris isnt just ANY RB, this dude is a game changer, ESPECIALLY when teamed up with SQB. At that point it was either him or Wyatt Davis and I figured id try something different

Nice write up... www.si.com/nfl/giants/draft/2021-nfl-draft-prospect-profile-iol-alijah-vera-tucker-uscJudge is all about zone, and versatility .... Slater is still IMHO the better prospect but would not cry with this pick.

I could see Gettleman preferring Vera-Tucker because he is a little longer than Slater Possible after we drafted the 2 longest tackles last year, I am seeing Davis, Vera-Tucker and Slater as the stand out guards, and most boards having Slater/Vera-Tucker as the top because of the tackle ability. Slater is actually top 3 on most(all) boards at OT, and top 3 on OG as well....versatility. Davis has a knock of not being a great pass pro guard, not brutal but in need of some technical issues fixed...can run zone or gap though. Slater/Vera Tucker at 11...then go WR, DT, OL the rest of the way? My absolute favorite IOL guy this year is Landon Dickerson from Alabama ....but his injury history has him off any board I might have. He's a man among boys...teammates love him, and would have no problems at guard of center, his Tide position.

No trade draft - Slater was gone and I chose Pitts over Vera-Tucker and a player who might be the end all best tackle of this years class, Christian Darrisaw. Davis is dropping a bit, and is not the end all in pass blocking....starting to loosen my 2nd round grip on him as we already have two run blocking specialists, one a gap and one zone with brains. In the end all, I believe Alim McNeill goes 2nd round, and the mighty Quinn goes there as well.
11: R1 P11 TE Kyle Pitts - Florida
42: R2 P10 G Wyatt Davis - Ohio State
76: R3 P12 WR D'Wayne Eskridge - Western Michigan
116: R4 P11 DL Alim McNeill - NC State
196: R6 P12 C Quinn Meinerz - Wisconsin-Whitewater
201: R6 P17 WR Josh Imatorbhebhe - Illinois

Pitts is just a playmaker, lots of contested catches--I get it. Cannot pass on him if he's there. I'm curious for the college junkies--why no buzz for the FL QB?

No trades...
Being content with our FA period made this easy..
11: R1 P11 OT Rashawn Slater - Northwestern
He will be my pick if here until further notice.. If there was another consideration Smith was also there
42: R2 P10 DL Daviyon Nixon - Iowa
My favorite inside D lineman I think..if no trades and Zevon Collins is gone, with the signing of Golladay this pick is now a no brainer
76: R3 P12 WR Dyami Brown - North Carolina
Just missed Eskridge,a lot of nice speed type guys that can be moved all around Eventually replaces Shepard kinda
116: R4 P11 CB Eric Stokes - Georgia
Wasn't looking for a corner at all here..but by the time my pick came up there was a glut of secondary players massed here,Stokes was 25 spots higher on my big board so why not
196: R6 P12 OT Cole Van Lanen - Wisconsin
O line depth
201: R6 P17 RB Kylin Hill - Mississippi State
Perfect complement to Barkley

R1 P20 G Alijah Vera-Tucker - USC- Trade back and get a very good guard prospect and help a major question mark still remaining on the team.
R2 P10 EDGE Jaelen Phillips - Miami- Edge is a big area that we could improve and this isn't the best edge class. Roll the dice with Phillips who is very good when he is on the field. There are injury concerns but if he can stay healthy you could be getting a very very good pro and great value.
R2 P20 WR Amon-Ra St. Brown - USC - I think he would be a great fit for our current WRs. He runs really good routes and has good hands. He can play inside and he can play on the outside. He can win on short routes and he can win on deep routes. I think getting a versatile WR day one or two is crucial to pair with Golladay and Slayton. I think St. Brown would make it a very fun trio and give Jones some serious weapons to play with.
R3 P12 LB Chazz Surratt - North Carolina- I think he would be a great option to slide next to Martinez at LB. He can fly around the field which he does best and Martinez can help him develop the other areas of his game that aren't the strongest, since Surratt is still very much learning the position.
R3 P19 OT James Hudson - Cincinnati- Very solid OT prospect I like. I think he gives us a little more insurance at RT in case Peart doesn't end up being someone who we were hoping he would. I do think Peart is going to be solid but just in case he has a sophomore slump we have Hudson who is a really solid player. Maybe he gives Peart a run for his money or we just have more young depth. Win-WIn in my book
R4 P11 DL Alim McNeill - NC State- Very solid DL prospect who can help the DL rotation after losing Tomlinson
R6 P12 CB Kelvin Joseph - Kentucky- Really underrated CB I think. He played on a really bad team I thought but he was one of the bright spots. I think he could be someone who slides under the radar and someone gets great value at CB. I certainly would be shocked if he lasted anywhere close to this pick in real life but I would run to the podium (or the virtual equivalent LOL)
R6 P17 RB Elijah Mitchell - Louisiana- Solid RB depth

R1 P11 OT Rashawn Slater - Northwestern R2 P10 WR Rashod Bateman - Minnesota R3 P12 DL Daviyon Nixon - Iowa R4 P11 LB Chazz Surratt - North Carolina R6 P12 WR Dazz Newsome - North Carolina R6 P17 RB Kylin Hill - Mississippi State
R1 P11 WR Jaylen Waddle - Alabama R2 P10 TE Pat Freiermuth - Penn State R3 P12 RB Javonte Williams - North Carolina R4 P11 EDGE Patrick Jones II - Pittsburgh R6 P12 C Quinn Meinerz - Wisconsin-Whitewater R6 P17 RB Kylin Hill - Mississippi State
R1 P11 TE Kyle Pitts - Florida R2 P10 RB Najee Harris - Alabama R3 P12 DL Jay Tufele - USC R4 P11 WR D'wayne Eskridge - Western Michigan R6 P12 OT Dillon Radunz - North Dakota State R6 P17 C Quinn Meinerz - Wisconsin-Whitewater
I honestly dont know which turnout I like the most. I think I'd go with the offense heavy option 4, Pitts, Harris, and Eskridge would be 3 outstanding options on offense and Tufele plays like a younger Leonard Williams.

I would rather Najee was our running back vs Barkley, but I can't see that luxury pick this year....great vision and explosion between the tackles ...my favorite back. Can also catch the ball and run routes...and thump blitzing linebackers

Smith and Chase vs...I'm going OL at 11 all day.

I appreciate these summaries, good cases to be made whichever way they go. Solid FA session allows options. Just go BPA the first couple rounds and it will work out the best. Pitts is one that is so intriguing that I just don't know how he can be passed over.

Trade back draft because it's so easy to do that. I had my choice of Vera-Tucker and Darrisaw...went tackle value this time as I don't believe Tucker-Vera can play tackle as well as Slater and those magical feet and perfect technique. Collins slid, and he becomes a cover backer who would of blown up the combine with his 40 at 260 pounds...like a graceful bull, and amazing hips to fly into coverage. Watching his game tape and while against weak competition, you can't ignore his movement...raw speed and reading coverage...quick feet, nice hips...not as mean and thumping as a Parsons, but you can do a lot with this guy at linebacker. Bateman dropped, as many top x receivers will ...many steals every year in the 2nd round...look at all the 2nd round picks at WR last year. Not a single miss. Dickerson is by far my favorite IOL guy...he reeks captain, stud, mean...a center that can easily play guard...loved by his teammates, and the talent is off the charts. Problems is...injuries. Lot's of them, and major ones. If he finds health, or was healthy, he would be the first interior guy taken. Baby Gronk falling a bit on some boards...still a thug after he catches the ball, and he has great hands. Blocking needs improvement...Alim is a nose tackle that can do 3 tech...I sense personally he could be our 2nd round pick...Eskridge in the 5th?...you're welcome fans as I pulled off the trade after many hours on the phone with the Raiders sitting in my underwear...without getting paid either. Rashed is dropping off the boards...situational pass rusher and Paddy is a tackling machine...probably special teams and a back up for Judge.

No trades and just went with the BPA at an area of need other than late I went need with guys I like.
R1 P11 WR Jaylen Waddle - Alabama- Really hard to go against taking one of the top weapons on the outside. Sewell and Slater were gone and Waddle was the last remaining weapon available. I would absolutely love getting him on the team. Truly dynamic speed. Him and Ross could be two of the fastest players in the league (obviously Ross will not get nearly the playing time). Waddle would be electric with Golladay and Slayton. Would make the offense must watch.
R2 P10 G Wyatt Davis - Ohio State- I think guard might be the biggest need on the team and Davis is a really solid one. I think we plug him in and let Hernandez, Lemieux, and the new FA signing battle it out for the other spot.
R3 P12 CB Ifeatu Melifonwu - Syracuse- Has the ability to become an extremely good CB in the league. Let him learn under guys like Bradberry, Jackson, Logan Ryan, etc. It would be a great situation for him to develop and be ready before he is thrown out there
R4 P11 EDGE Elerson Smith - Northern Iowa- Edge that has a lot of talent. He has good burst and bend but probably will get overpowered in the run game at least early on. We need some help rushing the passer so I think he would be a good option day 3 if we don't address the need before!
R6 P12 LB Jamin Davis - Kentucky- Great value here I don't see him making it to day 3 to be honest.
R6 P17 OT Robert Jones - Middle Tennessee- OT prospect I like. Depth on the OL is crucial.

18: R1 P18 G Alijah Vera-Tucker - USC

36: R2 P4 LB Zaven Collins - Tulsa
No brainer (Jake has him 28 on his big board so finally some upward movement
42: R2 P10 WR Elijah Moore - Mississippi

76: R3 P12 DL Daviyon Nixon - Iowa
High end new piece for the IDL..
81: R3 P17 RB Michael Carter - North Carolina
BPA....by a lot . Didn't want to take a RB this early but when it's that blaring BPA you take it
116: R4 P11 EDGE Jordan Smith - UAB
BPA....have to get an edge somewhere right?
196: R6 P12 WR Damonte Coxie - Memphis
Still my go to big guy...eventually replaces Slayton in 2023.

Here's my take at this point.
No trades. SF screwed that up for us.
11: R1 P11 Rashawn Slater OT NorthWestern
42: R2 P10 Joseph Ossai Edge Texas
76: R3 P12 D'Wayne Eskridge WR West Mich
116: R4 P11 Marlon Tuipulotu DL USC
196: R6 P12 Damonte Coxie WR Oregon
201: R6 P17 Khabil Herbert RB Va Tech
Addressing needs at O-line and Edge first... Can't have too many WRs... DL and RB insurance.
I considered another Oline pick with Slater at Guard for now and picking up a Tackle, but didn't love the tackles at Pick 201. Would still use Slater at Guard, which I think is his Home.

Positive thoughts Roche is probably my favorite of the 3. IMO he is the best value, ive been seeing him going in the 3rd round or so. 3rd round sounds like the best pass rusher round with Pat Jones, Hamilcar Rashed, and Quincy Roche being mocked there. I hope Rousseau tanks his pro day, I DO NOT want him in the 1st
