The Rams finally figured out their QB was literally the dumbest ever?
Good move if true for the Rams.

Lol, Detroit totally robbed the Rams. You think? It's not like Goff is a terrible qb..i still think he has upside But wow If they get their QB they can trade Goff next year for some assets Meanwhile Stafford has a ton of weapons and a really good O line in LA

They won't get more than what the Rams just gave for Stafford. But, Detroit takes on Goff , recent humongous contract. Goff is a game manager QB, not a game changer. Plus, Stafford with the Rams , would be drafting, in twenties to 32 first round pick.

This trade helps the Rams alot more than it does the Lions.

Up there as one of the craziest trades I've seen in a while. Didnt see the Rams dropping Goff so soon even though it was inevitable, even with the extension.
If a 32 y/o Stafford gets the Lions 2 firsts what in the world would the Texans want for Watson? I still think NYJ have the most ammo to pull it off.

The Rams GM, Les Snead has to be the dumbest MFer I've seen, all he does is inflate the market. Todd Gurley, Brandon Cooks, Jared Goff, I can go on and on.
When this moron makes Todd Gurley the highest paid RB of all time, that doesn't just effect the Rams that literally sets the market rate for the entire league.
He's running that organization like it's the NBA team, in all seriousness when was the last time the Rams had a pick in the first round.
If I'm the Texans after seeing what the Lions just got, I'd be asking for 4 first round picks because at this point, why not?

Yeah this basically leaves only the Jets and Dolphins in the race.....well maybe now Detroit who can send 3 and Goff Looks like Snead basically outbid himself The entire qb trade market just got wrobked Rodgers probably now brings back 2 1sts as well..

Just another reason as well to never worry about the salary cap. Think about the all dead money and salary cap hits the Rams have taken these past couple of years for overpaying for players and then having to trade or cut them. Yet they somehow manage to manipulate the cap in order to stay underneath it.

Stafford is one of the most consistent, productive QB's of his era. He holds like 8 throwing records, he's easily worth 2-first rounders. The Rams are going to benefit alot more from this trade than the Lions will.

The Rams are going to benefit alot more from this trade than the Lions will. I think that this is a vast overstatement of his abilities, but even if you are correct, his past performance has zero relevance to this trade. The Rams traded for a 33 year old QB who has gotten increasingly banged up over the last couple of years. I have no problem with a team wanting to bring in Stafford...even over-paying a bit ... but Goff, plus two first-rounders and a third-rounder? I HATE this this trade for the Rams

They won't get more than what the Rams just gave for Stafford. Based on what the Rams gave up for Stafford, the Texans should get 10-12 first rounders for Watson. I don’t think that Watson is getting traded though

I remember them going years between first round picks.

Wow.
Ok. I'll admit it now. I was wrong about what Watson will bring back for the Texans. Holy cow.
My thoughts on tbis trade.
Rams window is open right now. They went all in. Stafford is an injury risk but man he can still sling it.
Goff put up some good numbers the past 3 years prior to covid 2020.
Funny tidbit, when Goff and Wentz were drafted I said they would both be busts. Then a few years in I admitted I got it wrong. Now, while they weren't busts for their teams by any stretch, both will now be playing elsewhere.
I like Stafford. I think he has som really good football left in him. What a trade.

I don’t think that Watson is getting traded though Honestly, I get it. Goff kinda stinks and his contract stinks. Stafford has plenty of career left. Yes injuries are a concern but he is probably one of the toughest players in the league. The Rams know they have to win now. Have been trading away 1s like crazy and have Donald and Ramsey...but not for forever. They already mortgaged their future - what is two more plus getting to dump your mediocre QB?

Joke of a trade for Rams. You only do this if you have all the weapons in place except QB to contend for a title (like bucs last year). Their offense at talent position has been depleted. Giving away picks will make even harder to replenish. Goff wasn't that bad, and stafford's not even that good anymore. Lions got lucky to find someone that irrational. Now goff can go bite kneecaps with Dan campbell's lions lol.
