Did not impress me on game film or senior bowl. The guy is huge, but his technique is so awful right now...not sure any player can correct so much I mean it IS possible, not worth a 2nd round pick, maybe a 3rd, definetly a 4th. Personally I'd rather take Petit-Frere or Raimann in the 2nd Petit-Frere only had 1 sack given up.... until the Hutch beatdown. I want my edge to win games...and my tackles to calmly say..."hold my beer"...as Slater did with Chase Young. I'm thinking Raimann is reached for into round 1...his athletic ability is sick.

My buddy played center at same school your kid and coach told him he wouldn't play if he wasn't 300lbs, so he transferred to Iowa and is a borderline first round pick...kidding ..so, he would order a pizza every night and drink a 12pack of bud heavy.

Oh and Raimann has only played OL for 2yrs, he came to Central Michigan as a TE a TE turned OT might actually be safer than several of these giant tackles who might be NFL guards. A TE of his size i’m sure had to block yet he has better feet. That’s a safe combo and evolution imo whereas some of these giant tackles simply overpowered opponents. In a more technique driven NFL the TE turned OT might be the safer choice imo.

CBS Sports latest draft has picks 1-4 as: Neal, Hutch, Ekwonu, and Travon Walker. Then NYG 5 is Ahmad Gardner. CAR goes QB Pickett. Then @7 we take Thibodeaux! Top prospects, for sure. BUT.......if we do NOT take an OT (Cross?) in Rd1 this signals a horrible disconnect with reality as I see it. I fear it might rank up there with the 2018 disaster... but not quite. And my head might EXPLODE!
How would you feel about this and what do you think it would mean? Is there really a chance this could happen? Will YOUR head explode?

What fan has suggested and assumed he is THE franchise guy? Every post reads "if" the Giants feel he is the franchise .... even GL's post reads the same. Not a single poster assumes WILLIS will be the franchise. However, if the Giants as an organization feel he could be the franchise ...these play mocks simply play off the same what if. If you feel you know all about Willis from your reading articles, watching tape or what you feel in your bones...that's a respect your opinion situation. You're on record as saying he screams bust. I tend to suggest he either is a bust, or home run. Low floor, and high ceiling...with all the traits of a modern QB. I guess so does every scout from underwear fans to the paid to observe staff. I respect your opinion on how you feel....but again, "everyone" does not assume he is the franchise guy. BTW...hate to be the GM who trades away a boom pick and keeps a bust. ... I assure all fans will be complaining just a bit if we trade the 5 or 7, Willis is taken by that team trading up...we keep Jones who more then likely busts out... and proceed to get some large bulldog DT in the middle first with a bunch of future picks... while Willis becomes the next big thing. This is also possible, trading away or passing on a franchise...and will be as much a GM killer as taking Willis and having him scream bust. Could not have said this better.. I'm one of the "wait till 2023" guys myself but also realize that we have to see what we are against competition wise for one of the better guys in 2023 already Houston right now is a top 5 pick team this year and with 4 1sts the next 2 years. You also have to figure the team with the 1st overall pick (unless one of the teams that has an extra 1st has received that golden ticket this year via a trade and is set)will be looking qb? So that's Bryce and Stroud right there .. And exactly what this draft is all about, adjusting the draft to get as complete team around the new qb as possible asap unlike Gucken Fettleman who built the team like it was prehistoric times and you could keep the training wheels on a young qb for a few years (because back then the forward pass was a luxury for teams like this) You should see the hate I'm getting on BBV for this draft "yOu iGnOrEd lInEbAcKeRs"(a mortal sin on that site) wHaT aBoUt tHe dEfEnSe...defense.... Sorry You gamble on a young qb in the first, everything gets pre empted....our defense is still decent enough to hold the fort this year while the offense develops....and if we luck into a boom and we surrounded the guy with a lot of young talent on that side of the ball.(my scenario we got rid of Golladay for a younger upgrade on a rookie deal, another human joystick to go with Toney and 2 starting TEs,2 day one starting O linemen and a potential starting guard ,means even though we probably lose Shep and Slayton in FA we have the cap space to possibly get some cheap mid or back end roster playmakers and a mid round /day 3 playmaker on a rookie deal),over 100 million in cap space and already 2 extra day 2 picks in 2023 to add to our draft to build out the defense,re up guys that play good with lots of year 1 guaranteed money frontloaded (why teams that always have cap space and are good have this),get one piece on defense ... ...and what if DJ turns out to be the real thing and Willis isn't? Buh-bye next 3 - 4 years.

The " I'm sick of looking at you,you can and will be replaced " draft if I got an offer from Jacksonville for their 33 overall 2nd round pick for Toney.. And what I would do knowing how the chips are falling with players on many big boards
5: R1 P5 OT Evan Neal - Alabama
No brainer..RT solved ..we now have 2 above average OTs..
16: R1 P16 DL Jordan Davis - Georgia
BPA..knew a few of my IOL targets were going to probably be there at 19...let's bank on this beast being more than a 2 down guy and be the freak that dominated the LOS on that defense..
19: R1 P19 G Zion Johnson - Boston College
And my top target on the interior fell to me Haven't decided whether to put him at LG or C,probably start him out at C
33: R2 P1 LB Nakobe Dean - Georgia
See below..I had options,I also knew he was so far and beyond BPA and we can use some more help in the front 7...
36: R2 P4 WR Treylon Burks Arkansas.
And this was supposed to be the pick I got for Toney and be a direct replacement,so I got him 3 picks later.A more athletic Hakeem Nicks, with some Deebo Samuel's in him...if he is what I think he is we save money next year by deleting Golladay somehow
67: R3 P3 WR Skyy Moore - Western Michigan
Not stopping with Burks,Moore is the prototype perfect receiver for the Daboll/Kafka hybrid offense. This entire unit is going to be rebuilt completely by 2024 on cheap rookie deals by highly athletic dynamic playmakers .
81: R3 P17 TE Jeremy Ruckert - Ohio State
In this offense an old school traditional TE is what's needed,an extra O lineman in the running game and a chain mover/red zone threat in the passing game..ie a Jake Ballard
94: R3 P30 EDGE Boye Mafe - Minnesota
Forgot all about him,how is he falling? Whatever,I have another edge rusher
112: R4 P7 CB Jalyn Armour-Davis - Alabama
I'm not one of those rushing to throw major assets out of panic to replace Bradberry in a year where if Robinson shows he is a backup only its hit going to kill our chances at the playoffs...he is depth and such
147: R5 P4 RB Zamir White - Georgia
I had my choice of him,Robertson and someone else White has home run speed,Robinson has square wheels..guess who I take 100% of the time..oh and he runs like Lynch
173: R5 P30 TE Charlie Kolar - Iowa State
We currently have a bottom end number 2 and. Ruckert fills one spot,Kolar is the other spot..kinda another Ballard type
182: R6 P3 S J.T. Woods - Baylor
Have to get someone back there .. TRADES Trade Partner: Kansas City Chiefs
Sent:
CB James Bradberry Received:
Round 3 Pick 30 Trade Partner: Jacksonville Jaguars
Sent:
WR Kadarius Toney Received:
Round 2 Pick 1 Trade Partner: New Orleans Saints
Sent:
Round 1 Pick 7 Received:
Round 1 Pick 16 Round 1 Pick 19
So Got 2 studs on the O line that are day one starters. This could start to resemble a good line by the end of the year
Started the complete rebuild of our playmakers on offense, depending on our record and how Golladay is playing and how Burks develops I could deal Golladay for a mid round pick in 2023 Kolar and Ruckert could be a nice young 12 tandem,White could replace Barkley
Defense That front 7 ...

*I'm no draft guru, I only did this for fun (I don't even know half of these guys). Just wanted to know what these results would have the mock "experts" thinking?* Also the trade was calculated with a trade value calculator 1500 for 1522 "value" in return so seems pretty fair. Eagles seem to think they're always a step ahead of us (we didn't want twig smith last year lol)

You do not take a Guard through college and put at center b/c he snapped the ball in a Senior Bowl practice.

Petit-Frere only had 1 sack given up.... until the Hutch beatdown. I want my edge to win games...and my tackles to calmly say..."hold my beer"...as Slater did with Chase Young. I'm thinking Raimann is reached for into round 1...his athletic ability is sick. Raimanns RAS is insane, wow. I love the agility I actually watched this game, and of course was not paying attention to Raimann at all. Watching over it now and paying attention to his reps....he would not be a bad back up plan if we traded back. Problem is with OT's...they are reached for so badly he could end up top 15 on some draft board and be taken well ahead of any 2nd round. Giants need to address right tackle with 5 or 7....this is a position we reach badly if need be.

I've seen him mocked in the 1st in more than one mock, wouldn't surprise me at all if there is a run on OTs in the first.

The Giants need to reach at 7 for Penning/Cross....unless they have secured Neal or Ekwonu at 5. I'm then trading back with the 7, if possible...I'm wanting Linderbaum the more I now watch him again...short arms and all. That kid is a QB minded OL with incredible leverage and athletic ability.

Yeah, I would not trade back from 5 if Neal or Ekwonu (but not both) are there. If they are both there, and the team trading up represents that they are not taking one of them (such representations are a routine part of these draft trades) then I would trade back from 5 knowing that we will get one of them at 7.

I believe the Jags would be foolish to not take Neal to protect Lawrence, but I am seeing a lot of mocks with them taking your Michigan stud. IMHO, picks 3 and 4 will dictate everything for us...Jets go corner over tackle and we're set IMHO with I believe Ikem. I've never went into a draft more pumped and not knowing what's going to happen then this one. New regime, 2 top ten picks...so many teams loaded with multiple picks seemingly set for trades...this draft needs to get here now.

Lawrence is the franchise and although they added some pieces, protect him.

A lot of the mocks show Hutch but I don't know if I see that.

Had to go defense this draft...Thibodeaux dropping this far? Gardner possibly being the best player in this draft? Wyatt who could be the best player on that entire Georgia defense? Pitre and Chenal?...Wink would have this team the greatest defense in the history of the NFL in 3 practices....
I got my right tackle, touched by the hand of Ares... and a selection of centers and guards I call my Kratos....Cook whom was touched by the hand of his girlfriend last night and my wide receiver...somebody who catches the football thrown to him by the QB.
