I'm probably that guy that is now in the get off my lawn territory...* But to me all modern hip hop sounds exactly the same (just like there has been only one modern hard rock band since 1997, Theory of a Creedleback) So I have no idea if this is any good or not and I'm being honest

He now has money to finance his music business. Hopefully, he won't quit his day job. Cause, that will make him rich and famous .

Victor Cruz started early in building his Social Media presence ("which fedora do y'all think I should wear out on the town tonight?"
I don't think he realized how important his football career was toward generating the buzz created on his Twitter feed.

It’s when hacks claim to be rappers, but their lyrics are weak. So, they get a beat to drown out their voice. He has the money for studio time. Which, most young rappers have to beg, borrow, and steal to get. As for the you tube comments, clearly those are Giant fans. He can fart on a beat and they’ll think it’s “fire.” I’m all for him building on a music career. Music won’t shorten his lifespan like the NFL will. However, football is his day job. It’s what gave him the opportunities to make that video, get in a studio, and produce his music. Football is his career, music is his passion. The second he confuses the two, is when one of them will become a dream.

Does this guy want to play football? He’s going to be a problem. Has no interest in being with his new teammates.

As long as it doesn't interfere with his obligation and contract i'm all for it. Nothing wrong with having another passion, or a plan b. That said, it only benefits him to perform well in the NFL bc that'll help his rapping career and help build his brand.. that doesn't happen if he's not performing well and has a bad rap.. pun indented.

He'll throw away his NFL career for rap! You know...like...ummm...cant think of anyone. Help me out here! Who else has thrown away their NFL career for music? I guess there always has to be a first.

His career in the NFL will have no affect on his music career. Ever listen to Shaq or Kobe’s albums? Pure garbage. And it doesn’t get any bigger than those two in the NBA. You either can rap, or you can’t. All the fame and money won’t make you better. Toney is using his status as a tool to help promote his rap career.

Terrible music is terrible music no matter how you dress it up. My only concern is will his rap career effect his NFL career? I havent found any evidence to say that it will. I could rationalize it and say any distraction could...but I havent found a precedence when looking at it historically. Especially for high draft picks.

We want our players to eat, sleep, shit football. Anything less, will be met with frustration. The NY Giants are a passion of ours, we have been rooting for this franchise before half these players were a thought in their parents heads. This is their profession, and they treat it as such. Look at us, we all have different careers. Do we do our jobs for us? Or for someone else? We do it for ourselves, because it’s us who we have to live with. Professional athletes feel the same way, they just do it on a larger scale. Ask any Giants fan what kind of players they want. Most fans would say they want 53 Mark Bavaro’s. Tough players, who talk with their play and we rarely hear their voice. Players nowadays are all about building their brand. It being music, acting, commercials. You name it, the more they put their name out. The more money they make.

I was on the couch watching A Football Life reruns a couple of nights ago and watched the two part Lombardi and Emmit Smith and Jerry Rice episodes and all I could do was shake my head. We will never see that type of attitude and commitment again. And all the players addressed the media in ways not to embarrass themselves or the franchise. I miss it a lot and am on my way out of watching all together. Been thinking about it for some time.

One of my friends from Long Island went to Florida while Emmitt was going and they became friends.. Through him I got to meet him in 1998 (offseason but he was in town for something)and went to dinner with him What an amazing person....sucks he had to play for that team Trust me there are many players that carry themselves this way still The Bucs players are always out and about and all of them are like this I follow Slayton on IG and he is very reserved

Most speak well to the media. Of course there are the a-holes but they are not the majority
