Pretty sure the word is “optimistic” Thanks Karen. Auto correct gonna auto correct. Auto correct … lol And by the way, countless athletes have walked off the field with torn ACL’s. You fail …yet again

That's like a 50 yard walk. I'd bring the cart out too. You knew that from playing, right?

another aspect of this injury is that even if there were a good player available to replace Lemieux the team doesn't have enough money to sign him.... “Even if there were a player good enough to replace Lemieux”. That wouldn’t be a problem, have open tryouts with the public, we can get an equivalent player for free off the streets.

Every failed athlete would be there trying to recapture their glory days. Al Bundys by the thousands..

Saw duggan tweeting that Kenny Wiggins replaced Lemieux. Also reading that it appears to be a knee injury. Both Duggan and Ranaan are reporting this. Yeah right now it's Wiggins. I think Peart and another OL are on the PUP list right now.
It's July, going to be a long season lol.
It’s been a long season of long seasons.

Wouldn’t his BMI be more important than just weight? I’d rather have a TE that was 270 and could do all the same things as one who was 250. There’s plenty of times when I have less body fat and more muscle at 265 than I do at 250-255 depending on what my goals are.

If this is serious, it seriously jeopardizes an already questionable OL.
Personally, I was hoping/expecting Lemieux to take the next step this year.

Great news, but man reading that was a bit of a rollercoaster. Reading "worst case" there had me expecting bad news.

Fantastic…although a guy like Shane likely needed camp. Hopefully, he can come back and be solid.

What I do know for sure though is if you're attempting to revive your career and your HC tells you to lose 14 pounds and you gain weight instead you should get fired. If he couldn't follow those simple directions I'd rather not have him on this team. It'd be a different story if they didn't tell him to lose the weight and he thought it was a good idea to gain weight, but they told him what to do.

The biggest issue here is Lemieux is a developing player and the line is a developing unit, if he misses significant time even few weeks it will mess with his and there development as a unit, I think he has a chance to develop into a solid Guard hopefully he can get back sooner, other wise one of the free agents will be in that spot Wiggens or Zach Fulton who has a lot of starts and has been decent up till last year.

Good news, but getting carted off in a no pads limited contact practice is still not good. Just slightly better than showing up to camp already hurt.

Thanks for the update. This is great news but he is still injured and needs to be eased back. Hopefully we can get a prognoses soon and understand how much time he is going to miss. This situation just shines a massive spotlight on Guard. Giants management and their coaches are either going to come accross as highly intelligent or really stupid this year since so many have questioned the Giants Oline and depth and they haven't made any meaningful effort in FA or the draft to shore the line up...

It was an ACL tear..apparently he didn't think it was that bad initially until he tried to test it.

They did add depth this offseason. I don't know what you consider meaningful effort. Backups are backups. You don't want them playing.

It's not like they went into this offseason and purposely said we are going to completely ignore O line...especially after 3 of the 1st 5 picks last year were on the O line (unlike WR where they only makee 1 5th round selection and a bad FA band aid signing from 2018 till tbis past year when they had no choice ) And if they had opportunity they probably would have taken a guy somewhere in the draft.
