The downfield passing game was pretty non-existent for the Giants. Most of their completions were underneath, and their downfield shots fell incomplete. Unofficially, Jones went 24 of 37 with an interception. That seems to be the consensus number among Giants writers in attendance.
“Made some plays. Didn’t do some things great,” Jones said after practice. “That’s the way practice is sometimes.
I mean, you have to consider we're missing 4 big pieces from the offense. You have Shepard as our leading receiver (who left with an injury). And as much as I like Shep, that's just not gonna work. Wait Shep got hurt too?!?!?!? Just **** it sit everyone till week 1......stupid ****ing CBA is the reason for all of these injuries....limited camps....limited contact.....limited practice days and now limited preseason games....anyone see a correlation here? Listening to other teams announcers makes me really appreciate Papa and Banks who are the best in the biz and harder on the Giants than anyone else others teams announcers are cringey cheerleaders......but reading other teams' beat writers does not make me appreciate the trash we have in NY....here they may be bit better but garbage is still garbage. Shep hurt his shin apparently but he continued practicing anyway so not sure it is anything to be concerned about.

Daniel Jones threw the ball with 65% completion. Yet the low information morons on BBV that celebrate bad things are gloating about the other Jones having good practice

Yet the low information morons on BBV that celebrate bad things are gloating about the other Jones having good practice Because they're not acknowledging it was just all short, underneath passes. But who in that lineup is going to stretch the field? This is just a continuation of 2020 right now.

However with his injury history, it really should not be surprising.

What a shit show. Does anyone know if Rudolph was practicing with the 1's or at all? Also, I hope the Giants don't get tuned up like the Eagles did in their last preseason game. The Pats made the Eagles look like a division II college football team... Rudolph did not practice with the 1's and only did individual drills.

With Jason Garrett being NY Giants offensive coordinator, it will be very difficult for Daniel Jones to ever look good against good teams like the NE Patriots.
Sure, if Jones had run NE Patriots offense today, he would have done quite well.

Man at this point I don't even care if we suck or if we're great. I'm so tired of snippets and other peoples opinion One post says we sucked, next one says Jones is on fire throwing TDs. I can't take it. Just put the games on TV and let the chips fall where they may.
Bring on the damn season.

Jones was in tbe Patriots offense at Duke (Erheart/Perkins) We are adding elements of this to our passing game with Kitchens being nore involved (this includes the mutant of this better known as the air raid style )

Practice is allowed to be embarrassing going by what I've read from the posts it sounds more like a 50/50 performance at the end of the day.
I am sure the coaches are watching, seeing what works, determining roster cuts, observing etc. plus figure out when SB, Toney and Golladay are going to get out there
Until it counts, keep practicing... keep practicing...

They need to get healthy their playmakers are all out except Engram and Shep they need Golladay and Toney / Barkely on the field other wise they are running the same play makers as last year out there.

Yup , some just getting the negative narrative going. Quoting Allen Iverson? There's the mistake right there. These scrimmages are a more accurate evaluation of a team than preseason games... If it doesn't happen in practice, it doesn't magically happen in week 1. Giants fans should of all people should understand this. bottom line these practices mean nothing if anything you learn from your mistakes and get better. We don't have all our weapons out there and we still have the same record as the Cowboys, Redskins and Eagles 0-0 call me when the season starts against Denver. all the reports have the Patriots looking mixed bag as well. I am a little worried about the Adoree Jackson injury but we have a bit more time till the season starts Jackson could be ready week 1...

What I saw was something more important, it looked like solid OL play from the live feed I admit it wasn't the whole practice but what they had was good, Jones stood there with time.

Exactly..especially if they are doubling Slayton Slayton being forced to a #1 isn't good for this offense him drawing single coverage with a #2 or 3 CB he's gonna make plays.

Injuries scare me more than anything. I think the talent level is there to be very good this year.

I think Love is like Logan Ryan young tho, smarts is gonna be his game. When in live game action last year he manned the slot and both safety spots along with outside corner when they couldn't live with Yiadom anymore and was well of above average. Think he is a solid piece.

my good dudes, a bit of an overreaction here to the first day of practice over there. overall really good work in cleveland that had its ups and downs too, im betting theyll do well today, yesterday is not an indication that the entire season is a bust. thats silly.
we've been the visiting team for both of these practices too, a little easier id think for the home guys to perform at theyre own facilities, familiar fields on these first days.
i have no doubt their jones is gona be good (matt or mac jones, its matt, right?) but lets see what happens today with ours.
its fine, theyre doing fine with these joint practices, i think itll pay dividends for them - not like stock dividends, but some decent fundaments with football anyway.....

It's only practice against players who are even allowed to hit Jones..
Lets wait until Garrett unleashes his awesome new game plan utilizing all those players who are currently injured.. LOL
