after we beat Denver you an rant all you want. I honestly expect to beat Denver primarily with our defense and running up the middle. If we don’t beat them, I’ll give them another couple games before I really start ranting. If this team is as improved as it should be, and some people think it is, then we should start off 2-1 at worst but 3-0 ideally. After those first 3 games is when we start to find out how they compare against some of the better teams in the league. no doubt. 3-0 is expected and not unreasonable. Jones of course has questions to answer. I see him having a 60/40 chance of doing that. 40 being the "he can do it" side. The way he goes through his reads on his 5 to 7 step drops is his main issue. The quick 3 step drops he knows where is going and not too much of an issue. When he creates more time or with the longer developing plays he often doesnt see the open guy "quick enough" even though he is supposed to be a good deep pass QB. Not an easy thing to clean up. Will the receivers help him out by getting open? You see other QBs who can extend plays but also you see their receivers doing their job too. Not enough to just have the QB run around,

I know the /giants seem to have their number but a road game on very little turnaround early in the season vs a real great front is tough. I hope you're right.

Washington's DL is top notch. Most likely a low scoring game with FGs and turnovers being critical.

It puts players at risk unnecessarily. Also, it's way too much of an advantage for the home team. And at the very least, should never be a division game.

At least they dont have to travel too far.

Not enough to just have the QB run around, Yes sir, that and you know…the thing that starts with an O are my biggest concerns. Our secondary will be tested right off the bat with their receivers but I’m not sure how good their O line is so maybe our D line can actually get some pressure to help out the secondary. I also don’t know what to think of Bridgewater, he can’t be that good otherwise he wouldn’t be on his 3rd or 4th team. Graham made lemonade from lemons last year, kind of lemons, with his schemes so against guys like Teddy I think/hope the defense can have a lot of success just from that standpoint.

Not to be a downer here but Jones and the starting offense hasn't even taken a snap in preseason, Jones hasn't even been able to practice with his #1 WR and the early practicing that they did indicated that they were out of sync. The Giants still have questions marks at Guard and RT. Barkley probably won't start until game 2 or 3 at the earliest and we don't even know how he will react to being hit. In short, the offense is a work in progress, with multiple injury questions marks being led by Jason Garrett. Sign me up for 2 and 1 all day long....

Good players overall at all position groups and nothing wrong with sacks by committee. From the O I just want to see sharp football and keep the three and outs to a minimum.

Dont care......these first 3 games are winnable for sure. The only way the questions get answered is by playing good football. Its time they get it done. Peart was drafted to be the RT. Jones has been playing with the receivers that will be starting. You arent being a downer and its tough to imagine this team given its recent performance to go 3-0. That's half of last year's total wins!!

Are you saying that CB2 and the 2nd MLB were good players last year?? The outside pass rushers were also below average so I agree with Vinnie that Graham was a magician with that group.. Looking forward to see how the new players are utilized because I think they are an upgrade as long as they stay on the field..

Not that they had 11 very good players on the field at all times. Also not taking anything away from the Graham's schemes and manipulation of the D. They made moves to have better players on the field for the starting 11.
