I think we got a few WR that may be better. Also, Shep had problems getting separation back when I was talking about. I dont know what "problems getting separation back when I was talking about" means. He's a very good slot receiver, and every team in the league needs a guy exactly like him. Not a star, just a great reliable third-down receiver. You went from killing Toney a few weeks ago to saying Shep isnt needed now? Again, glad you arent running the team. Out with the old in with the new. We have not done well with the old formulas. Shep would be better elsewhere. Seems to me, the talent at WR we have right now may be a threat. Shep was either hurt, or didn’t show up when needed. You are what your record says you are.

Good thing you don't run the team. I'm not saying he's has crazy physical skills, but he runs the most reliable routes on the team and rarely drops a ball when it counts. Any team would be glad to take him off our hands. Yeah I don't understand how anyone can dislike shep, very solid player, gives his all... There isn't a team in the NFL that wouldn't want a guy like that on their team. I’ll take dynamics over a sluggish possession guy any day. I doubted Toney just like almost everyone else here, but I think he’s proven us wrong. Possession receivers are a dime a dozen.

...the receiver corps we saw today is superior to the one that we thought were our "starters" coming out of camp. Of course Golladay was great but I'm talking about Toney, Board, Ross and Johnson all getting real separation and making plays.....with Shep and Slayton out. Thoughts? Toney in space is a TD waiting to happen. I know I will curse him at at times because he will go backwards to go forwards....lol He also better be aware of the ball as he is dancing around in traffic. I dig the kids game and his interviews make me laugh.

This is as much about Jones is it is about the WRs on game day. Like its always said....You need a QB who makes the players around him better. Consistency in the routes, a QB who is hopefully turn that corner and a game plan.

You do not need separation to be a good WR . You need to be able to run a crisp timing route. Have good hands. Those 2 skills are lacking in the league. He proves it with his his 69%+ catch precentage and is 10 + yards per reception the past 3 seasons.

He is an incomplete waiting to happen .He has one of the worst catch percentages in the league.... 50%..... You can cover him with a safety because there is a good probibility it will be an incomplete. It was 52% last season His picture is next to over rated in the dictionary. Sadly I agree, I want him to be good as I was a fan of his at Auburn. He had the same talent and challenge there. Hands of stone, lightning legs. Sadly he will likely be the odd man out, good for the Giants though as he is no longer our first, second or third best WR. Without Slaton dragging down his numbers yesterday. His completion average for the season cracked 68% for the first time.

I am not saying they are not, or we shouldn't . Shep needs to be on the field. I can almost guarantee they were not game planned against Ross or Toney There is film on them now. The next few weeks will be telling for them. JJ and Dave made their decision on Shep when they renegotiated his contract. He is untradeable . You better get used to the idea of him being on the team / field. He is here through the end of next season. In fact he may get extended next season to knock down his cap hit.

As others have already said it’s a good “problem” to have but is anyone concerned that the offense (Garrett) didn’t have any real sense of urgency UNTIL they were down 11 in the 4th? Meaning they didn’t get aggressive and more up tempo till they were down late. They should be attacking teams like that ALL GAME starting in the first period. Not halfway through the 4th.

Shepard has been playing lights out. Slayton is as about as over rated as a player can be Slayton should be trade bait. If we get a 4th for him . We made out. Would prefer linebacker help for Slayton if we are talking about this season's trade deadline. No Martinez today killed them against the run game today. Absolutely killed them. I was shocked that Tae Crowder held his own when he was the only LB out there on passing downs. The young guy gained so much experience yesterday. One of those low cost young guys who is just happy to be here playing his heart out.

I am just trying to get my head around having reserve WR who have speed, can get separation and can catch the ball.
What a pleasant change. I don't remember that ever being the case.

Board bringing up the backend while contributing on specials is a blessing.(WR1-5 no need to worry about injuries on specials with them) Slayton settled at in at WR4 was my dream coming into the season. We have a group that just cost each DC on our schedule 2 hours of sleep lastnight.

I would like to see Toney and Ross continue to get lots of snaps. If that decreases Slayton's playing time, so be it.
Obviously, Shep out there along with these other two would just be amazing, because Shep is awesome.

These guys are dangerous and need to be on the field, not sitting waiting their turn getting stagnant.

Who are you afraid of Shep taking snaps from? Well, when Toney is out there they usually line him up in slot…which I don’t agree with, but that’s another post. Shep is our established slot receiver. Who are they going to favor when we don’t come out in 4wr set? I think Toney should get the time.

They had Barkley line up outside they can certainly do that with Toney or Shep. This is what game planning is all about.

If Kamara and Hill could kill them as badly as they did running the ball, I shutter to think what Elliott and Pollard do next week. These young LB'ers need to put the big boy pants on for this nightmare coming up not only against the run but against Schultz in the passing game too. The D-Line needs to really have their best game since the Seattle game last season if they want to have any shot defensively next week. The losses to Washington and Atlanta obviously loom very large to the importance of next Sunday's game. As much as I hate watching a loss to Dallas, 3-1 going into Dallas against an on fire squad would have made a 3-2 mark afterwards much more bearable/understandable. Got to protect the ball against the Dallas defense and get some desperation turnovers of their own defensively and beat them in a shoot out I feel.
