I'm all good. Dust ups are fun. Good call on Scheon and Daboll Well like most on here say: What do I know about these two? It doesn't mean anything unless we start winning. True. We are only wishing here. But, if it is going to those 2 then let's just get on with it. No time to waste.

There’s nothing about Daboll that moves the needle. He’s been running an offense that has more weapons than our military. Granted, he’s the architect of that high explosive offense, but it helps when you have an MVP at the quarterback, and receivers galore at your disposal.
His offenses were atrocious at Cleveland, Miami and Kansas City. Unless the Bills are willing to throw Josh Allen into the deal, I’ll keep looking elsewhere.

I will accept whatever this GM decides (like I have any other choice). He seems to be a very popular pick with just about everyone. Not like when we hired Getty. I hope he's the right guy and Mara gives him the full autonomy he promised.

The Bills were about 10 seconds from the AFC Championship and very likely the Superbowl.

Seems to be the theme. Whether a coach whose team does well or a prospect from a bowl game. If the term short memory is good, i want him if the short term memory is bad, i don’t want him I think your take is big picture 👏. Really have to evaluate imo. It’s not as slam as some post it to be imo.

Unicorn coaches (and QBs)are made, and developed..
Daboll has as good a chance of becoming a unicorn as any of them ..

Would you be ok if Schoen DID take Daboll today?

I could see some improvement record wise in 2023 and possibly a worse record in 2024. A ton of rebuilding has to be done. Will the coach make it? I don’t know. The last three haven’t.

His in game adjustments last night were impressive. he’s on the radar for a reason. If he’s the guy, let’s go. If not, and somebody thinks a Bienemy is and learned a lot under Reid, i’m ok with that too. Regardless, I question the QB although i have more hope for him than the OL which isn’t saying much, if anything.

So a guy's track record from 10-12 years ago is what he is to be measured by? Besides, Cassell, McCoy, Quinn... His work history doesn’t begin and end in Buffalo. His whole track record should come into play when deciding on a head coach. He’s not being interviewed for an offensive coordinator position, he’s looking to be 22nd head coach in franchise history. We should leave no stone unturned when it comes to the hire.

I want to see what Brian Flores has to offer. I don’t care he was rough with Tua, I would be too if I had a quarterback who’s made of papier-mâché and has the arm strength adolescent school girl. I like David Shaw, but that is a pipe dream. Just like Jim Harbaugh. Seems Daboll is getting serious consideration, he’s got his second interview tomorrow.

He seems to have a job for life there though and seems comfortable there

I hope we got guys out there sleuthing his tenure as a volunteer assistant for William & Mary in 1997. No one gives a shit about his brief work in College. We’re talking about his time as an offensive coordinator in the NFL. But sure, all franchises go back a couple of years and make life changing decisions based off that.

my belief is Dave Gettleman ran his own show. Sure, he speaks to the HC and scouts yet it’s all Gettleman. Truth or not, we’ve read leaks about his communication style, how the phone range during draft day and he didn’t bother answering, how we “didn’t sign OBJ to trade him”, and so many claims which turned out to be lies or delusion resulting a .290 winning percentage. And look how Gettleman left. Not a word. Meanwhile, Jerry Reese and every other coach left with class. And one last word on Judge, he thanked or mentioned everybody except one; Gettleman who hired him. The same guy who left in silence. Just because the GM failed doesn't mean the coach wasn't in over his head. Just tell me what he did right and maybe it will make sense. I think the coach was in over his head and although I liked Gettleman he definitely under achieved too and thats not why he was brought here, I guess its an example of how effective the buddy system is, sometimes hiring your friends is the worst thing you can do...

Daboll was part of that development regardless of Allen's own talent etc. I am not saying he s a slam dunk but he is a very good candidate.
