I like Graham a lot and his willingness to adapt. That being said if we can get a few comp picks and get a quality DC in here I wouldn’t be too disappointed

Is the contract with the Giants to be DC for the Giants or DC for a coaches staff? Wouldn't he need to sign a contract to work with Daboll? Or they did not terminate his contract yet?

Maybe they know each other coached together for a lot of years but he interviewed for the Steelers DC job before it also. The Giants should start interviewing DCs it is pretty clear he is looking for a better situation they already gave him a raise last year.

I can understand why he would leave. He got passed up for promotion here, would work for the guy that did get the job, and has a chance to make a lateral transition (probably would get offered more money) with a clean slate elsewhere.

Actually I forgot Josh McDaniels took the Raiders job so just another of the BB guys. Graham has a good chance of landing it I would say. They are familiar with one another and he is a solid DC with a couple pass rushers he might be much more them solid and they have a couple.

That is his title here also but the Giants don't block coaches from moving if they want to. Unlike the Vikings did to Shurmur with Stefansky and they didn't even make him the OC Giants have all the power to stop him if they want but they won't it's not how the operate. Stefeansky would have been a permotion to OC rules are different for position coaches and coordinators.

Graham is also an assistant head coach, or was under Judge. This probably has no bearing on promotions or anything since it is probably more of a contingency plan position if something happened to the HC. If it did count, him going elsewhere would actually be a step down.

Why the Giangs are in control of his contract. They can be pricks and say no. Me I would want compassion for him. Their 5th and 7th round picks.
