vinnie c'mon my dude how in the hell can you be dissapointed? This was awesome! Are you kidding? This game was almost unbearable to watch. I’m happy they won but some of you are kidding yourselves if you think that tram resembled anything other than a mediocre to bad team. They literally scored the majority of their points on 3-4 chunk yardage plays. I think some of you are so used to losing that any W is a good W. I’m more of a perfectionist/realist and this team is still trash. DJ looked like shit, he won’t be on the team next year. Barkley was Barkley, padded his stats with a long run or two but otherwise he looked average. The O Line was ass. Tannehill is a bad QB and it showed. I’m not saying they can’t improve and I’m always happy when they win but I’m not delusional. They looked like S H I T. Please tell me what you thought they did well on a consistent basis? Damn vinnie have a ****ing Snickers!!' Barley padding his stats!!?? Jones had a terrible pick for sure. Was 17 for 21 and was integral in the win for sure. Played under a; sorts of various pressure yesterday. they won a game while making sveral big mistakes. What did you expect? A 35 to 20 win with a perfectly executed game? Its only 1 win but you are off base bro The Cowturds lost as well and you are still an angry bitter bitch!!...lol

BTW, I do love Dabs right now, we just don’t have the horses to be a legitimate playoff team. who said the NYGs were supposed to be playoff team in 2022?

A win without AO, KT and a so/so secondary in Nashville. Not pretty but a win few expected.

Giants need two new offensive guards as Beredson had a 53 percent defensive rating and Ezeudu a 47 percent defensive rating. Hope FAs Peterson and Hamilton get most of reps at LG this week in practices.

Giants have played but one regular season's game. Let's take it one game at a time. No reason to say a player is good or bad at this early point in the season.
Both Giants coaches and players need to improve. The Titans game is a good game to improve upon. Like that Giants finished with three touchdowns in the second half.
Should be no discussion of play-offs after one game.
Just hoping that Thibs, Ojulari, and Belton are back to practice sometime this week and we see more new faces getting playing time next Sunday.

He had 164 yards rushing haha, you can't "pad" stats (whatever the hell that means, only on this board are long explosive runs bad) to the tune of 164 yards without gaining yards consistently. And he was...consistently...picking up 3 or more on his rushes. There were maybe 2 negative runs the whole game...and they weren't his fault. Even if they were, pretty standard stuff.

Yeah I don't see how anyone can criticize Saquon's performance yesterday. There were a lot of things to criticize, but his running wasn't one of them. Even take away the 68 yard run, he still rushed for 96 yards on 17 carries. That is 5.6 ypc.

Explosive plays are what you strive for, not something that should be downplayed. Barkley did it all yesterday. for sure.

Lots of heart, fight and tough playing to go along with the coaches doing a good job for the first game Beer and Old Bay gold fish sounds good.

really Bro... you have them going 12-5 and lauding Daboll for his schemes and system etc. Now you want to take the pump the brakes perspective? Also… read his post just before this.. Talks about how we need new guards and then two minutes later this post of his talks about how it’s too early to say if a player is good or bad. I'm not one who takes a stance and then doesn't modify it based on what I see. So much of my prediction is believing in the Giants offensive schemes. My belief in the Giants impact players were confirmed in the Titans game. But even Jones needs to improve in certain areas. Nor am I changing my 12 plus Giants wins prediction even though I was disappointed mostly with some of the Giants offensive schemes. But my 12 win prediction is not set in stone and won't be even if the Giants win their first four games. As I expected to see in a regular season game, better play calling, more divergent plays, and offensive schemes that included two backs in the backfield to provide more protection for Jones. Two backs, at times, also gives the offense more options, is less predictable, and keeps defenses more off-balance. Not pleased that Daboll places almost sole protection for Jones on his offensive line. I hope Daboll makes improvements. First, I didn't like some of Kafka's plays through out the game. And given that Daboll was on the head-set, I'm concerned that Daboll was complicit in the play calls. Also, Barkley needs plays inserted for him, to catch passes on short passes in which he goes straight and either button hooks, or turns out toward sideline, or over the middle to catch a pass. I hope these concerns are addressed by Daboll. At the very least I would like to see him call plays as he has a proven track record. The Giants will likely beat Carolina. But I still hope to see growth by the Giants coaching staff, and it's players. When I texted about not making judgments about players I had in mind Jones since posters were criticizing him here. I did not have in mind Bredeson and Ezeudu when I said it was too early to comment on players as hardly anyone was commenting on them. Do think their track record in camp and pre-season games didn't justify them playing so much, and would have rather seen both Hamilton and Peterson play in their stead. I realize that Peterson just joined the team.

Glad they did but let’s keep it real. It was lucky the guy missed a long field goal but the coaching staff made some nice 2nd half adjustments and kept them in a game against a better team. Not looking for them to make the playoffs but it is encouraging that the team with the better coaches for the day were the Giants..

This team and staff came through while facing many obstacles. Also why take away a RBs big runs? Big blocks had to be made and he had to follow them. They are great plays bro. Barring injury why cant SB continue to have aver good season? 164 per game of course not but he can be a factor in every game for sure. Its one game and they won. They beat a number 1 seeded team from last year. Its a goof ****ing win vinnie!!!

I don’t give a shit about the stats, he didn’t look like a QB that can lead a team to a Super Bowl. Yeah, it was only one game but the same warts he had last year and the year before and the year before that keep showing up. Once again, based on just yesterday, would you be comfortable with DJ being our franchise QB? lol @ my “angry ass”. No denying that

Ok…we’ll see what happens. You guys are high because we’re so used to losing. I don’t even know how some of you think that was good football, have you watched good teams play? Honest question. My lord, is there anything you saw in Jones that makes you want him as our franchise QB? You can throw all the stats out there you want but he’s clearly not the answer. Months ago I even said that I wouldn’t be surprised if he had good numbers a la Shurmer era due to high % passes (ie screens, slants) but it’s not a sustainable winning formula. Seriously, did his performance yesterday make you want to give him a contract? *I’m actually drinking a delish Gueze and eating Old Bay seasoned gold fish. They’re limited and fantastic! Why would one game ever make anyone want to decide what to do with Daniel Jones haha? You keep projecting whatever you're thinking onto others. No one is saying the things you're trying to counter-argue with. Also, agree with gametime that those goldfish sound excellent. I'd put old bay on anything though. One game? Nah, this is 4 years. I was hoping to see the problems that most people criticize him for disappear but they’re still there. Please enlighten me how DJ looked better yesterday than he did his rookie year. *Old Bay is f’in awesome. I believe Dogfish Head actually made an Old Bay beer, never got to try it though, it was limited.

No one is talking about his contract LOL. We're talking about the game itself, in which he played excellent. That's all. No one even hinted at that. Ok, well I’m not hinting at it, I’m bringing it up. If the Giants looked that good and Barkley was as good as he played yesterday, would you pay him the going rate for a RB? Really all depends on the going rate for a RB. Would I pay Saquon Derek Henry money? Probably not, but mostly because of his injury history. If the RB market has us paying Barkley 11million and he continues to be one of the most dynamic playmakers in the NFL, you've got to at least consider it, but it all depends on where the market goes for this position. As of right now, I don't care. He's a good dude, he looked great yesterday, and we at least get to ride him this season. Gonna enjoy that.
