Vinnie step back one second.. who on earth is saying this team didn't look like shit. If it had not been for barkley this game is a disaster. That said - it was awesome we won. Tackles looked solid Run game was incredible they didn't allow 100 yards to Henry that was their goal. Things we know Jones was pedestrian the interior oline is shit linebackers cant cover Robinson didn't get smoked Darnay holmes almost cost us the game with giving up a big play and penalties. This team is far from good, but a win against a number one seed last year is a win. Enjoy it. There will be plenty of times throughout this season to complain about how bad the team is, they won. enjoy Alright, alright…was just a little emotional. As I said, very happy they won but it was fugly. The first half was straight from a Benny Macadoo menu. It was unbelievably bad. Then, 2nd half adjustments were made, and it got much better. Now, we still are not a good football team IMO. Lets not forget we only won due to the missed FG. BUT, we did win. And we beat a good Titans team on the road.

They won because they came back from a 13-0 deficit while making mistakes. They held one of the best players in the league to 82 yrds and no scores. They held a top seeded team to 20 points. They took the lead on a late 4th quarter drive with a 2 point conversion to get to 21. The kicker blew his assignment just like any other player does. It wasnt luck or less of win because a kicker missed.

When it's the last play of the game and the opponent kicker misses a field goal that's why the Giants won the game.
That does not distract from the fact that the Giants outplayed and outscore the Titans in the second half.
But one cannot ignore that the Giants couldn't pass the ball well in the first half because Daboll didn't play available LGs who could pass block, and Kafka kept trying to pass the ball.
After seeing it's running game was going well toward the end of the first half, Daboll had no option but to go to the run in the second half, and it worked.
The Giants do have better offensive guards (Hamilton and Peterson) who are good against opponent pass rushers. Daboll
He also has to give Flott, McCloud, and Pinnock a chance to supplant Holmes or move Robinson to ICB, and move one of them to OCB if they earn it.
Also has to play McFadden more at IL, and Schoen has to sign better ILs who are presently on other team's practice squads.

However, he makes that kick, which they ALWAYS seem to do against us (minus DJs first career start down in TB that I was at), we lose. Thats what I meant. It was a Win or Loss depending on that kick. If our kicker misses it, I would say the same thing. Makeable kick, gotta hit it.

I'm not so sure when Daboll says he plays the best players that such is true.
Do believe that Webb plated better than Taylor in pre-season games, that Hamilton and Peterson are better than Ezeudu and Bredeson in pass protection, and want to see if Flott, McCloud, and Pinnock are better than Holmes. Giants overly enamored with Holmes because he made some picks on short passes in team scrimmages.
McFadden should be given a chance to see if he's better than Crowder.

Reminds me of the cowgirls fans going ape shit a couple years ago when they started off 3-0 by beating the likes of the Giants, Miami and maybe the Jets. Their fans were eating it up but by they ended up losing 3 of their 4 next games IIRC and the 3 teams they originally beat literally ended up being the 3 worst teams in the league. Again, I’m happy the Giants won and I really like Dabs but that was an ugly win. I’ll take ugly wins all day long if the team is a playoff contender but they looked bad IMO. Anyways, you guys have heard my rant so no need to continue beating a dead horse and for the record I think we’ll beat Carolina next week by a minimum of 7 points.

They led the league last year in wins within 3 points, they lost their best receiver, Tannehill sucks. We’ll see where they end up at the end of the year but I have a feeling it won’t be good and this win will look much less impressive.

There were 12-5 and were the top seeded team in the AFC last season. Just a fact Bro. Were they best team? Maybe not but they were seeded #1. Why do you have to tear down the Titans to discredit the win the NYGs had on Sunday? If you dont think a team like the NYGs beating team like the Titans is not impressive then I cant help you. What the Titans may turn out to be at the end of the season makes zero difference today. I am not overreacting at all. The Giants still are a very shakey team and will be all season most likely. But I will not under-react to the win on Sunday

Miggs I do understand your concerns with Pass protection. That said, this crew drafted Ezeudu. They know his strengths and weaknesses and that he will need to be coached up in Pass pro. Remember, even our stud LT Thomas looked silly in Pass pro at times during his rook season. The Giants are going to look for spots to get him live action to develop him. Thats one heck of a Defensive front they just faced. I do have a harder time with you picking out Crowder--especially after that game. We know Crowder has some limitations, but he has the heart of a lion and he's a bargain. He tackled that freight train RB with reckless abandon and IMO inspired his teammates to do the same. I was very, very impressed that NYG was able to limit one of the best RBs in the NFL. The Giants are clearly high on McFadden(and the injured Beavers), his time will come.

I'm not trying to discredit the win by tearing down the Titans, apparently there are several other sports analysts and writers with much more credibility than myself that had the Titans ranked below average this season. Something is clearly different when the #1 seed from a year earlier wasn’t even ranked in the top 10-15 in most pre season rankings this year.

Happy the Giants won and I think they have a pretty good chance at winning this week but I obviously don’t think TN is as good you do. Not scoring any points in the first half is also concerning but hopefully as the players learn the system more and the coaches become more comfortable in their roles then we will continue to see meaningful progress. It was the first week of the season, crazy thing happen. LOL @ the cowgirls only scoring 3 (THREE) points!
