The only thing that will matter is who has a great senior bowl game.

most likely not, but we should have a chance between fa and the draft to get some talent to add to the group.

smith didnt make it through this game, hard hiiitung thus far. he's not gonna hold up well in the NFL. He held up well for 4 seasons. ...jammed his finger in a blowout where he had 200+ yards and 3 TDs before halftime. Not concerned.

more concerned with Waddle going forward with the screws in his leg and multiple broken bones.
...with that said got to give him a lot of credit for even being on the field tonight.

Are , they having a Senior Bowl game ( 2021 ) ? No idea. Saturday, January 30. But I don't think we're getting Smith at 11 either.

smith didnt make it through this game, hard hiiitung thus far. he's not gonna hold up well in the NFL. He's 174 lbs and will be crushed going for jump balls in tight coverage unless he adds some muscle weight. His performance tonight was basically a pitch and catch show in wide open conditions for the most part. He's a talented guy, no doubt, but the NFL is quite a world apart. I actually would prefer Kyle Pitts over him.

I actually would prefer Kyle Pitts over him. Current/Former NFL players were on social media giving real props to the kid. It may seem like pitch and catch because he does EVERYTHING so fluid with zero wasted steps, everytime. That's not normal. Ever see Lewis Hamilton race F1? Now you try it. Not so pitch and catch anymore.

Hard to imagine him making it to 11 at this point, but stranger things have happened....

smith didnt make it through this game, hard hiiitung thus far. he's not gonna hold up well in the NFL. how many players/receivers get hurt in the NFL because there are "too small" ?? What injuries are specific to that body type? I like bigger receivers too but it has nothing to do with some assumed reason for more frequent injury to smaller players

His only knock is that slight frame...IMHO, not going to slide him to 11...but he's certainly not Calvin Johnson lab made.

Tyreek Hill 5-10 185
missed only 5 games in 5 seasons.
Hill is only one example but Smith's size wont dictate his success or failure in the NFL. The kid has big skills.

I like big bodied recievers but. I am a firm believer in . It not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. (Maurice Jones-Drew)

I have been saying since early fall our pick would be Devonta Smith in the first round. When I first said that I figured we’d have a top-five top six pick.
At 11 I doubt he’ll be available. Possible however if Jamar is selected before him.
Anyone and I mean ANYONE who thinks Smith won’t make it in the pro’s because of his size isn’t paying attention. They are out of touch.
I have watched the kid get nailed - sandwiched - driven into the ground over the last 2 seasons every week. This by SEC NFL quality DB’s. He has had zero trouble holding up. He got a dislocated finger last night. That has absolutely nothing to do with his size. Most people here obviously realize that. Those of you commenting that he got injured last night and will never hold up in the NFL are stuck between clueless and comical. They might as well shout from the mountain tops that have absolutely no idea about what this kid is all about. Sounds like they haven’t even watched the kid before last night.
Anyone who thinks we should pass on him because of his size if he is available is living under a rock.

I'm not worried about his size at all so this is me playing devil's advocate. Smith is 3 inches taller than Hill and 7ish pounds lighter. Different body types. I take Smith in a heartbeat for the record. WR #1.

The kid looks damn good. He doesn't seem to have over the top speed, but the way he moves is effortless and he gets so much separation. Odell used to get absurd separation on anyone who tried guarding him man to man, and Smith seems to have the same ability.
I do agree his size is a bit scary. The first time I watched Bama was a few weeks ago, and I commented at how skinny his legs and frame are. The hand injury can happen, but 180lbs in the NFL........he better not get hit much!
On a side note, there are some who still like Chase (LSU) better than Smith. I don't have an opinion at this point, but one of the two may fall to 11. If they're actually comparable in terms of ability, we could still luck out.

Man, I get the numbers are the same but if you look at both players they look completely different. Hill is stacked. He's like Steve Smith.....thick like a bulldog. Smith is skinny skinny. His legs literally have no definition, they're bean poles. #DoesHeEvenLiftBro

if Smith is there at 11 - he’ll be a Giant unless we are already ready to move on from DJ. Then possibly Mac Jones.

I like bigger receivers too but it has nothing to do with some assumed reason for more frequent injury to smaller players I heard a lot about how tough and physical Nicks is. He may be the most injury-prone receiver we've ever had. I like Pitts too but he missed time this year after taking a hit in the middle of the field.
