Rumor has it there's a NFC team who has McCarthy ranked has QB2 in this draft.
I can see Giants having Maye has QB1 and JJ as QB2. Would be very Giants of them

NJ.com picked up that letter, but faking a generic letterhead Giants note is very easy, they send letters out all the time. A 5 year old can reprint one with any message they want these days.

it has been on a few sites and claims over at BBI is Tiki was speaking about it this morning. Appears to be here too Man, I can't fathom that he would put out a letter like that. Jeez I get that him commenting on a players status is going to ruffle the conspiracy feathers, I don't think there's any news in there that's groundbreaking. It pretty much echoes what we already know.

Everyone should be thrilled John Mara wrote back that "Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll will make the call on whether or not to draft a QB."

A sentence prior, he said "I do not believed we are ready to give up on him" Both can be true. Schoen as already said they're not willing to give up on Jones, and they are still interested in drafting (or signing) another QB.

Imo I think they will attempt to get a rookie QB or competent but cheaper FA QB to compete or replace DJ. But if the asking price is too high or no one they like is available, they will just run it back with DJ as opening day starter if ready. Its silly to think they would say anything other then "DJ is our guy and we still believe in him"... 1 year after giving him a considerable contract, admitting they made a giant mistake. It will be interesting to see what they do in next coming months, they put themselves in a tough spot

You know it's the offseason when people are arguing about the intent of a clearly fake letter.

I guess, but I am smart enough to know that Mara doesn't give a s*it about his fans, certainly to the extent of responding to one questioning his team's decision making. As a season ticket holder I get a letter just like that (obviously different messaging) every year with some crappy Giants gift. It's not from Mara, it's a canned letter from the marketing team. A letter that could easily be turned into any message with very little effort.

I may not be smart as you yet I was smart enough to part ways with my PSL and tickets being the stadium experience isn’t too magical. By hey, i I would keep the season tickets so you don’t miss out on the nice gift they send and maybe a medium Pepsi. Would love to chat yet I have to answer another message from Nigeria. Seems I may have won a lottery I never played.

I could get rid of them for half of what I bought it at, but I am still trying to get more. If you have any tips other than losing a lot of money, they would be appreciated.

Got 60% of my money back yet saved on the cost of the season tickets i couldn’t give away. Wish you luck with selling them. None of us ever thought the market would collapse while the stadium has zero appeal to attend.

The evaluation process takes time. GM's don't listen to the media, it's the other way around. Players only seem to "rise" when the media's catches up to the scouting community. The senior bowl, player interviews and character assessments all play into the direction of a players stock post college season. A player like JJ gets overlooked at the end of the college season because of all the attention other players are getting. A college QB's play is not what it is, it's only judged by what it can be in the NFL. JJ isn't rising, his value is simply being acknowledged. If they are not listening to the media why is there a 20% every season. PS: Draft ranking by teams are not shared. JJ was overlooked because he lacks something in his game the NFL requires. He either has it or he doesn't. It is very binary with QBs. He is a late 2nd or later draftee. He does not even compare in talent with the best 2nd round QBs that came out of the draft. Teams spend months, years scouting players with endless resources at their disposal. You think at the end of the day they listen to Mel Kiper, who have no resources besides whatever whispers they can squeeze out of the scouting departments? McCarthy will be drafted somewhere in the vicinity of 10th overall.

I understand your take yet clearly, one misstep, and our front office was lost despite everything at their disposal.

But character concerns are a different conversation than what TEM was suggesting that teams draft decisions are influenced by the media's draft boards.

He was the only player whose teeth was still stuck on his mother’s nipple.
