As long as the team shows fight and a little improvement then a good portion of this fan base will continue to be thrilled so that method is currently "the best policy".. It’s not there fault. Eat enough crayons and you’ll start to believe everything is an improvement. Watch Watson goes to Washington and they become a very good team. While us, we give complimentary high fives to one another for Daniel Jones not throwing an interception in a game we lost.. I don't see Washington being able to trade for him so no worries there. If we are just going to throw out teams that are a QB a way why not the Saints or 49ers??

Make a deal with Jones in it, Jones is not the answer at Qb. Watson would be great in NY.

I only see these teams as a possibility.
Jets Jax Miami Atlanta (maybe) Philly ( I can see them dealing Wentz to Houston)
I would actually put the Giants on the list because they "could" include Jones, but the chances of Dave doing this are next to nothing.
The leader HAS to be Miami since they could get Tua AND their 3rd pick back.

This isn't really strong leverage for a guy that makes millions.
Example: Minicamp - $95,877 Training Camp (30 Days) - $1,500,000 Preseason (4 Games) - $2,480,000 Total amount - $4,075,877
Now imagine all the bad PR they would get for fining him every game/day they did this.

The Jets...Watson must really care about winning...lol. A QB that's never won anything paired with a franchise that's never won anything... Perfect match. Agreed. Making the playoffs on your back 2 out of 4 years is nothing. I wish our team had this no accomplishment quarterback on it. He would fit very well with us, we expect nothing. He gives nothing.. As for the Jets, good for them if they make the trade. I can finally watch a great QB not named Josh Allen play in the NY area.

Even if it isn’t feasible, that’s why general managers get paid very well. It’s their job to make their team better, and if they have a chance to grab a franchise quarterback in his prime you find ways to make that happen. Wherever he goes, it sure as shit won’t be here.

Which would work out perfectly for Houston as the Jets can offer the number 2 overall and their extra 1 this year and one of their 1st rounders next year Is it just me, or is that way too much? For the Jets no They have 2 first round picks the next 2 years plus they can get a day 2 pick back for Darnold possibly They also have ca0 room to sign the top WR if their choice to go opposite Mims and probably the top O lineman to make it to FA this year

Unless Houston is signing Dak how are they going to replace Watson with the 17th overall pick? Washington is not giving up Chase Which means probably their 1st and 2nd this year Number 1 in 2022 and 2023 to start ..

Just facts. Gettlemen is too obsessed with himself to consider this. Soooo Daniel Jones is set up for a pretty big year 3. He'll have Saquan back to take the focus of the offence away from Jones along with some more weapons. The excuses cant be used going forward

Trading for Watson right now will set any team back for a few years. Miami could offer their two firsts this year and 1 next year but then they dont have a first round pick until 2023. The Jets on the other hand can essentially turn Jamal Adams and their original 1st in 2021 into Deshaun Watson. They'll still have 34 overall this year AND a first next year. The Jets are my favorite right now.

The Jets are really the only team with the assets to make this happen. And I still think Darnold still has a future if the Texans wanted him in the deal.

According to whom? I’m not arguing the concept, but I have no idea what CPOE is. Specifically the E. rbsdm.com/stats/stats/ - This the site that created it. Thanks for the link, I still don't know but it doesn't seem important that I do.

I just heard a Texans beat guy say he would not be surprised to see a deal centered around Deshaun Watson & Lamar Jackson in a swap. That would be great for Baltimore and mind numbingly stupid by the Texans.

Depends on the price. We are a rebuilding team (I think) so the price would be heavy for us. Texans are going to ask for the sun, moon and stars which is going to be too steep. I could even see NE taking a run at him since they have a HOF coach and a track record of success.
Nothing is going to happen till after the draft IMO.
BTW if we manage to land (or have one fall to us) after taking a stud WR in the 1st rd, a qb that is top tier (Trask, BYU guy, Howell, Mac Jones etc) we should pull the trigger. All of those are currently better that D Jones right now. He has seriously regressed in his 2nd year, very disappointing

He can throw into big windows when the D is selling out trying to stop the run. Watson will have a much longer career as a top player. Baltimore is last by a wide margin in pass attempts since Lamar took over for Flacco. They dont run him for fun, they run because that is the strength of his game. If you force him to throw, you win.

Give Lamar playmakers on the outside with the rushing attack and their defense then watch out. No one saw this coming with Lamar when the ravens drafted him. Lamar will get better inside the pocket with better weapons and a far better playbook. His running ability easily opens up the passing game.
