Believe Joey Bosa missed most of training camp due to an actual contract dispute, nick bosa missed OTAs due to injury (doesnt count...too many rookies to count with "injuries"). Some situations are labeled as injuries but they could have been "injuries" if you catch my drift. I found one bust...dude from the Jaguars in '18. rookies missing OTAs doesnt make you a bust.

I'm a fan and I don't like it. But that's just me I guess. Me either. Here is the thing ..........we all assume everything here .None of us , not one of us knows what the hell is or was going on .We are fans and we can not understand how any player let alone a first round pick who is now a multi millionaire can not be chopping at the bit to be on that field .Maybe , just maybe he really does have excuse's, he doesn't owe them to us he does owe those answers to Joe Judge and DG.. I'm not happy so far with this guy but I will wait till the season starts to call for anyone's head. “Chopping at the bit” ... lol

I couldn't agree more. I remember people whining about Plaxico and Shocked skipping these. But they still went out and dominated most weeks. They just gotta generate drama to feed the masses so they can keep their billion dollar circus going. Likewise, the sports media has nothing else to talk about in regards to the NFL. And nothing sells like the NFL. I think it replaced baseball a long time ago as America's sport Plaxico and Shockey were proven veterans. Completely different situation Not really..if he produces fantastically no one will care about all this. That's All I meant by it.

With great power comes great responsibility With all due respect to our fearless leader, I'm sure Rosie himself got a nice chuckle outta that one....this place ain't exactly the Pentagon.
I knew what he meant. I saw Florio's ridiculous tweet which led me to the report by Duggan. I just assumed it would end up here so I made the OP.
I don't get upset over player's not showing for OTA's any longer which doesn't mean I support them. If the NFL cares so much about them they need to negotiate it into the CBA.

Why do you think Toney blew off OTA’s? Seems like you don’t like objectivity when it comes to your team. Remember when you almost cried when I suggested that Gettleman’s tenure should be evaluated based on wins and losses? Good times lol...cried..thats funny. Why do I care what KT does in June of his rookie season? Like seriously, its not even training camp yet . Youre talking about stuff 2 months after he got drafted...like seriously? You think youre gonna see stuff that will materialize years or months down the road? LOL...I guess that's the goal of some who like to snap to judgements over nothing (its funny, those who do this never seem to keep score). I have, its about 90% chance the offseason stories turn out to be nothing (see, analytics!) Lets review this...YOU are freaking out over something KT did or didnt do 2 months after he got drafted. That's sad. Like who the hell remembers what anyone did 2 months after they got drafted (that's your queue to feverishly search google). Definitely doesnt effect much in the whole grand scheme of things. You'll prolly rationalize it but the reality is, NOTHING ever really materializes from a rookie missing OTAs. That's a fact. But you go ahead and keep making a mountain out of a mole hill. I cant change it, I can just watch the show.
How about we focus on the team aspect instead of the fans?
Explain to us how a rookie missing OTA's benefits the Giants.

Urban seemed to like him - maybe we can get a 6th or 7th rounder in a trade for Toney.

Fair enough... Of course the Org would rather have everyone there....helps nobody to not be there. Lets be realistic here...this is 3 practices in May. MAY! Im sure he has time to catchup on the stuff he missed, I read a headline on espn or nfl.com. Read something like "GB not holding back the playbook with QB Love." I chucked and thought "how damn complicated can the plays be in May/June?" Breathe guys, its just June.

Never to late to pick it up. My youngest son learned from Youtube vids. Go for it! Therapeutic for Monday's after Giant loses. Do you play, Martin? If so, can you imagine what it would have been like to have YT videos back when you were learning? Yes I play and its been many years too. My son who is 22 today shocked me when I showed him a couple chords on keyboard when he was 10. Mind you he could barely play. About 6 or 7 days later I heard in the basement piano music which I thought was radio etc... I went down stairs to hear him playing Billy Joel Miami 2017 (Seen The Lights Go Out On Broadway). I was stunned. I said "Daniel" how did you learn this? He said I found a learning video on Youtube. Daniel today is very talented, plays piano, guitar and has perfect pitch. I did a lot of studio work in NYC so I guess you could say I am a critical musician. Youtube would have come in very handy when I was learning trumpet, piano as well as orchestration. You are so right, YT is amazing as well as today's technology for sampling, recording, mixing and mastering.

Listen; I understand...it's been over a month that you haven't fiddled with a gas line so you are on edge, stirring up trouble...

Of course the keyword is "trying".

I used to always throw out the hypothetical, what if all the players decided to not show? Would you be thinking the same thing?
I've always seen it as disrespectful to everyone who worked hard to prepare and work the OTA's. But again, I fault the owners for it not being mandatory.

He was excused for the last mandatory mini-camp practice for personal reasons ... he blew off the OTA’s prior to the mandatory mini-camp. Two different things He made it too rookie camp. Skipped voluntary camps and made it to the mandatory camps. I don't really see the pattern everyone else is seeing. I am not saying my view is right it just I don't think it as bad as everyone makes it out to be. If anything I think Judge did not sell the importance of voluntary camp to Toney very well if his coaching staff is complaining behind his back. Toney made it to more OTAS than some veterans. I will start worrying if he starts missing actual training camp. Did you ever watch a Judge press conference? Did you ever take him for someone who doesn't dot his i's or cross his t's? You just jumped a shark swimming in lava with a lazer attached to its head....

conversely, if players had to pick one to miss...which one would you have them pick? An OTA in May/June sounds OK to me. I honestly cant imagine a less important set of practices to miss. Again, 100% attendance is ideal and would make the organization and fanbase very very happy so Im not arguing that fact. Just trying to put this set of practices and what time of the year it is into perspective.
