should your post be in red? Go back and look at it again. Jones looks left like "where the **** is this dude". To maximize each rep for every player on the field Jones threw it up so the D can put in work instead of throwing it away. (if I say, "it happens alot in practice" I'll get crucified, again lol) what work is he putting in? admittedly I dont see him making that throw for any other reason because its so blatant.

This is last chance . He performs like 2020, the Giants will be moving forward without him and DG will get canned. Jones has a lot to prove this year. He needs all the possible practice and preseason reps he can get. If he succeeds or fails, it won't be because of reps in preseason exhibitions. So you don’t think pre season reps are of any benefit to players who have struggled, are new, have new players around them, or maybe different play calls?

Interception return isn't practiced so it's good to get reps in during practice

What was Hernandez' assignment on that play? Whatever it was , it wasn't approved by gunner first! I need to hit up a graphic designer to mock up my stamp lol

Occam's razor

That play was over the second Hernandez missed his assignment. Jones just chucked it for the helluva it.

What was Hernandez' assignment on that play? Lol.. man I have no damn clue. He shouldn't be struggling this bad in year 3.... during practice! So you don't know what his assignment was and yet claim he missed his block interesting.

Occam's razor That would be one of about a hundred questions I’ve asked “why the hell did he do that” and with his tendency to turn the ball over I wouldn’t put it past him to make that throw NOT on purpose and if he did, he shouldn’t have with his history. I can’t remember which idiot made the pass, or against who, but when they “tried” to get rid of the ball by throwing it out of the back of the end zone after driving down the field it was such a half ass, lame throw that it never made it and was picked off. Obviously it was either Eli or Jones. Whatever happened to practice like you play?

He threw a pass at fanfest yesterday that was inexpicable ... right into the hands of a defender with no WR in sight. Jones did that because the WR ran the wrong route & the defensive player played his coverage perfectly.. so Jones threw it to the defender for the sake of reps because the defender actually did his homework and guessed correctly on the route combo Jones' way of saying "good d" lol

I think they are a benefit to rookies and young players who need the game experience and a chance to show something to coaches. As far as play calls, they’re running very vanilla schemes and not showing real formations, so it's not an opportunity to run through your playbook. I think at some point it's important the starters get out there at some point to get some reps and go through the motions.

Definitely in the past two years but that seems about right. 2nd and 3 at the Pittsburgh 4 “intended” for Slayton, is what the recap says. I’m guessing that’s the one. Good thing he’s practicing throwing to the defense in practice (allegedly), no wonder he’s become proficient at it in real games.

There’s 3 pre season games this year, we had one of the worst offenses in the league with one of the worst O lines last year along with a QB who threw 11 whopping TD’s and 10 INT’s plus a handful of new “weapons”. Basically the entire offense are rookies or young, I think that point is now.

Judge has previously suggested that Saturday’s game will be treated by the Giants similarly to how teams used to handle the fourth preseason game, because for the first time this summer there will only be three exhibition contests. what dont some of you guys get about this? Jones isnt playing because of this reason. I get the part about needing the time to evaluate the bottom of the roste guys, but I'd like to see DJ play as much as possible after his struggles last year. This isn't Eli Manning. We don't even know what we have yet in DJ. I wish they would play him a drive or 2 at least. Get his feet wet. Plus, me being greedy.

He will get his work the next two games.

Patriots are playing their Jones tonight.
And Cam Newton.
The Skins are playing Fitzpatrick tonight a bit.
Eagles played Hurts.
I'm OK with them playing DJ a few series in game 1.

To be fair at least he made it hard on the CB by throwing it to a spot and not directly at him. Lol

Belichick has never had any issues playing his starters anywhere, anytime. The Giants can't afford any more injuries at this point. They had two more offensive linemen injured last night. They would forfeit this game if they could.

I certainly was wanting to see Jones and the 1s for a series or two. With that said it wont make or break anything overall.

Yeah, and every year I hear we don’t need to worry about pre season and every year they’ve sucked. The same excuses and the same results.
