I mean seriously. He’s awful. Fumbled away a chance to keep it close. Eyed his receivers at the goal line with a chance to keep it a game. Trash, just trash.

He only had 1 turnover, not a terrible performance but not good either. Got to remember Golladay predicted the offense would start off slow. Most of the weapons on the offense had very limited preseason...Jones was one of the few that was ready from day 1.
He has a long way to go before we can call him "great" or even "good" ...but 0 running game and making Teddy look like Joe Montana was a bigger surprise for me.

And most wanted Dewayne. I wanted Dewayne I was wrong I wanted Darnold I was wrong although Darnold had a good game today he was playing the Lowly Jets and he is in year 4...

So you don't believe In Hindsight? Its a Beautiful thing because its easy to proclaim something after the fact but no one could have known Dewayne and Darnold would be busts. I scouted all the QBs and Liked a lot of them including Daniel Jones. Coach Cutcliffe who coached Peyton and Eli suggested Jones to The Giants and Duke had no weapons for Jones. Put Jones on The Bucs how do you think he does?

This should be an interesting week lol Fire Gettlemen Fire Judge Fire Garrett Jones Sucks Saquan Sucks The O line Sucks ....................the next week of mindless threads. Oh and F#$% the Maras ,.................did I miss anything? Not sure what's mindless about those threads you listed. This team has been trash for years for pretty much the exact reasons you listed. Mindless is those coming out defending Jones, gettleman and judge at this point. We might even come out and beat a hobbled redskins team on Thursday, but we all know what this Giants team is, and it's not very good.

Daniel Jones...his only hope for being a game manager was the teachings by the guy we let go, and the guy who had Bridgewater looking all pro ....and completely out coached our vaunted DC. On the bright side...Judge talks well to the media. I wonder if Shurmur would have been as dumb as to have thrown a challenge flag after a score? Can not win in this league without a QB....and if in year 3, that "average arm talent" QB is still staring down receivers...he's back up material at best.

Great, Cutliffe endorsed Jones and Gill Brandt said he would be better than Peyton so surely they’re right! What are the excuses for him now? He looked like absolute crap, as did the rest of the team.

Fumbled away a chance to keep it close. LOL, that's what you took away from the game? Not that our Defense looked like shit? Defense was gassed....that's the idea of the west coast offense or ground attack offense vs big vertical strikes. Perfect game plan against us...play calling genius. Think of being gassed as in...Jones fumbles the ball after a 3-5 minute drive, and the defense again has to yet come on the field...still gassed/exhausted after being dinked for 9 minutes before that fumble ....similar to being as tired as you if you are putting your pants on....first leg some balance issues and a reach out for stability sucking some air through the mouth...second leg.... thoughts of now going shopping for your cup cakes in your underwear as the sweat beads up....you finally finishing 20 minutes later, but far too winded to now get that 70 inch belt into all those little loops ...game over once you try for the loops in the back.

Not sure what's mindless about those threads you listed. \ LOL, of course you don't, you and a few others(vinnie, southerner) create most of them. We might even come out and beat a hobbled redskins team on Thursday LOL, way to cover your ass. It seems like all of Giants nation plus a select few on this board see the light. The rest of this board though still in the upside down where Daniel Jones is a good QB who just needs more help and Gettleman is a GM savant. This team is bad. Really bad.

The QB was handcuffed because his recievers could not run routes.

That was clear before we drafted him. so who would you have drafted instead? Dewayne Haskins, Sam Darnold both horrible QBs Hindsight baby! The issue is in a bad QB class, Mara mandated a QB be drafted. They even announced this before the draft. I can accept that they didn't like any of the QBs in the previous year (2018) but the 2019 draft class was reported to be worse with Daniel Jones projected as a late 1st to 2nd round talent. I would have skipped taking a QB but because of the Mara mandate, we wasted a pick when Josh Allen (DE) slid to #6. Then in 2020, there goes Justin Herbert and in 2021 a bunch of other studs. You can never convince me you take a QB just to take a QB. What is it someone called it? QB hell? Oh, and while this was going on, the guy I wanted could have been had at a cheap price, even before the Jets took him and later traded him for a 2nd. Teddy Bridgewater.

While I've never really been a believer in Jones, after really thinking about it, I think that Garrett is the biggest reason for his decline.
Fumbles aside, look how much better DJ looked under Shurmur. It's not even close. Look how it appears he has regressed under the clapper. It's not like the talent level 2 years ago was that much better than now.
Look how wide open Denver's receivers were yesterday, over and over. Look how tight the coverage was on our receivers, maybe except for SS. That isn't a talent disparity , that is 100% scheme to me.
I try not to be a knee jerk reaction, hot take guy, but I really believe this is the biggest thing holding Jones back. I think he had time to throw for the most part yesterday to be honest. He was not under that much pressure. Guys were just not open and the routes were poor, hardly any deep balls at all. Routes run short of the sticks on 3rd down. Very little motion.
I think when this is flushed out, we will see that the biggest issue is Garrett.

Certainly Garrett can call a better game, no denying that one, but Jones isn't good. He's showing it every year, he just isn't a quality starting NFL QB.

He's as good as the last QB we drafted from Duke, Dave Brown.
