Was not worded properly and has been dealt with by Judge already. Lets not over look that KT also stated in his tweet to pray for the family as well. I think its more the fact he has to keep being reminded to check himself on the platforms. I know he is young and thats the life of 20 somethings now, but he has to keep clear of these things. Maybe he feels like this because of his past experiences, but saying "he is young" is not a good enough reason to defend Ruggs driving drunk at ridiculous speeds excess of 150MPH. He is about to be 23 years old. He is not a young teenager. He went thought college already. Toney worries me with his maturity level. Not his talents. I dont want this to be him in a year or 2 and blame it on "being young"..

I may be the only one on here who really doesn't have a problem with his Tweet. And he's not talking to me, despite the fact that I read the Tweet.
But I didn't see any defense of Ruggs; I saw a man saying it's easy to judge others*, Ruggs knows he Fked up, and to pray for the families.
*he's also saying that the ones doing the judging may not be perfect, and that maybe, just maybe, a few of the judges are very lucky that they didn't do something very similar when they were young. At age 28, I was hit head on by a drunk driver (hit and run actually), but am I suppose to say that when I was 18 I didn't get behind the wheel when I shouldn't have? 20? That I never tested the limits of my cars top end?
I was indestructible and immortal at 22...that ended at 28 for me.

Here we go. F’ing wide receivers that can’t just shut up and play. Here’s what bothers me. Judge has spoken to him. Multiple times. About how to manage social media as a professional football player. Every player has gone through multiple courses on this too. And he basically ignores his coach and all that training and does whatever he wants. If you don’t think that eventually transfers to the football field, we won’t see eye to eye on this. This isn’t about whether the media are actually clowns or how good he is on the field, it’s about being unaware that your actions impact your teammates, whether you’re smart enough to see how or not. He’s been told that. Guaranteed. And he does what we wants. Whenever he wants. That’s going to be a problem. Relax, man. The tweet is about a week old and has been handled internally. You guys seem to want choir boys, but will be the first to complain when we're eliminated before even December comes. If you guys can't understand that we're in the NY market and the media needs to stir up drama and create catchy headlines in order to generate clicks on their site, then I don't know what to tell you.

Besides Giants fans, does anyone really give a shit about this nothingburger? The media is in a fervor over taking down bigger game like Rogers. They don't give a rat's ass about what a rookie, who has barley been involved, says.

and yet Toney just left the Tweet up there...unchanged. sounds like he hasn't learned his lesson from the 1st few lectures he's received.

Stop, you of all posters have been here long enough to know that if the Giants had drafted O linemen in those spots the people here would still be screaming of lack of weapons, it's a damn if you do and damn if you don't thing around here. yup, the modern day offense rant would be in full meltdown mode. Forget about the Giants lets talk Rangers.... specifically Igor Shesterkin wow!! I feel hopeful. This team is very close.

I don't mind the essence of what Toney was saying about the Ruggs situation, however his exact word choice didn't frame it well, and to be quite honest, the situation is at such an extreme end of the spectrum.
In my early twenties, did I get behind the wheel a few times when I probably shouldn't have, and would I have been dinged for a DUI had I been pulled over? Absolutely. Did I ever come close to driving a vehicle at twice the legal BAC (essentially starting blackout) and drive at 156 mph...absolutely not. This escalates way beyond typical, young mistakes.
I have almost no empathy for Henry Ruggs outside of of knowing that he knows his life is completely destroyed as he understood it and there's no doubt it's weighing on him heavily (I'd assume). Is there part of it that's systemic, knowing the NFL is basically giving kids the world and many don't know how to handle it? Maybe.
If I were Toney, I would have just chosen to not speak about this situation at all. But it's his prerogative to give perspective and he'll have to deal with what comes back his way

That's just reckless stupidity and it cost a young woman and her dog their lives and ruined another guilty fool's life. Loaded gun, 156 mph, drunk. That's the hat trick of stupidity. Just about the most unnecessarily dumb thing that could happen.

Well now he'll be old & still stupid behind bars.

And Ruggs didn’t make a mistake, a mistake is forgetting your wallet. What he did is far worse, his selfish and terrible decisions cost not only a persons life. But, devastated a family. To the fans who forgot, this poor woman and her dog were burned alive. I hope he hears her screams for the rest of his life. His NFL career should be an afterthought, he should do his time and never be seen again. He’s lucky, he can still live his life and enjoy the fruits the world has to offer. That woman’s family just got a life sentence, and they didn’t even commit a crime.

Idiots drive drunk at all ages, not just 22. Unlike the vast majority of us regular folks, he has a card provided by the NFL to call for a ride home if he's to drunk to drive, he chose to forego it & has now paid the price for his lack of judgement, responsibility & accountability. 2 lives have been horrificaly lost due to this dimwit's actions. I have zero pity for him & hope the family of the victim sues him for every penny he's got & that he spends 20+ behind bars.

tough crowd up in here. but toney needs to learn when to keep things to himself and not.. There's a time and place.. soemthing as horrific as what happened to that girl as a result of ruggs is not the place to chime in about how they're young. I don't blame him (tony) - kids are dumb, kids don't always see the whole picture and his words are probably being taking a bit out of context by ppl... that said - you gotta learn when to shut your mouth. I have no problem with what Jokka said - I have a problem with what Ruggs did.. Lots of ppl throwing shade have probably gotten away with some pretty horrible decisions themselves in life.

I’m sure we’re all guilty of killing someone at least once around here. Instead of focusing on what is said, the true focus should be on the deceased. Her voice is muted because the person who killed her is an NFL player. There isn’t enough “shade” to go around to make this right.

But Igor has bailed them out of a bunch of games that they were outplayed. They bleed shots. Gallant said they need to tighten it up on D from the slot. But man, do they have young talent. Lundqvist, Kakko, Lafrenière and you have like the fact that their more physical. Your right though a few games they let up but once they get consistency they will be a very tough team. Geezz they beat Florida and Nashville!

I just think there's way to many people who have made shitty decisions such as driving drunk, or driving a car irresponsibly who have very luckily never killed someone. I find it hard to believe in the twitterverse that some of those coming down on him haven't made decisions where they easily could have done the same at some point in their entire lives.

I think they need another center but this has the makings of a very explosive team. It makes watching the Giants a lot easier knowing the Rangers are on the rise. Something to excite.
