Them are the facts. Do with them what you want.
After all, you watch football every Sunday right? You might even play Madden. And some of us may have even put on the pads which raises our fandom in the eyes of one or maybe two.

I have seen this discussed in the web realms. If only every guy who started out shitty as a head coach turned into Parcells we wouldn’t be in such an epic rut as a franchise. Know what I’m saying?

There was no free agency in Parcell's era. This Giants have spent nearly $400M in the last two years on Judge's team.
These comparisons from era's almost 40 years apart don't work. You might as well compare two coaches from different sports.

Let's not forget that BP went 9-7 in his second season and went to the playoffs.
If Judge pulls that off then he gets me back. Otherwise we have a HC that does a lot of talking and not much else.

Is there a portion of the message board still angry about "mara not paying Rhule!!!!" or are the identical records of Rhule and Judge changing that narrative?
All I think this highlights is Judge's story is not complete. I'm mostly down on him because the team lost two completely winnable games on the last play of the game. Would be much easier to handle injurygate right now with that buffer.
The game was schemed well on Sunday, the team adjusted to being down a lot of guys and the defense had a bounce back performance. If I'm gonna shit on the guy for the flatness of the Denver game and the quotes about "early games in the season" I have to give credit to a well designed game as well.

Yes I do.
Let's remember that Parcells screwed the pooch in '83 by picking Brunner as his QB. In '84 he came to his senses and went with Phil.
So what does this mean? It means we need Judge to realize his mistakes and correct them.
Here's a question for him: Why did Toney not get his hands on the ball earlier? Were they sending him a message? Because according to Judge the best guys play and Toney showed he's one of their best receivers.

Just putting that out there. Idk about that. Cap wise I agree, but free agency surely helps. |

I like Judge. There's definitely room for improvement though: offensive philosophy, 4th down, etc. I do think he's been better and more aggressive though. The guy is a first time HC, he's not going to be perfect.

It’s a great question because there is no way they didn’t realize how dynamic he was. Everyone was happy Sunday but Judge also went his normal puss way right before the half, that wasn’t lost on me. 50 seconds with them facing 3rd and 6. We had all timeouts. Does he call one, nope. I’m really sick of his absolute lack of sack. As a guy who played football(yes this makes me special) it absolutely affects you when your coach shows a continual lack of confidence in you. Fans can feel as they wish, it’s actions like that which continue to sour me on this guy. Take your balls out of your Fanny pack lady. Going for it on 4th and 1 is not a gamble at the goal line is not sack by the way before anyone brings that up. You don’t get it and they have the ball at the 1. No balls on display there. |

After 7 games in 1984 (Bill's second season) we were 4-3. The team looked to be turning around.
After 7 games this year we are still reeling at 2-5.
No one in their right mind would think Joe Judge should be fired at this point. But to compare the two is a little difficult. Different eras. Different opportunities to improve your team.
Bill turned this team around year two. It doesn't look like that so far this year.

Like I said, folks can take away from their records whatever they choose as it doesn't prove a thing other than a similarity of wins and losses at the same stage in their HC'ing careers.

Hard to say what would have happened had the Giants lost so many players in '84 like they have this year.
I know I wasn't alone feeling this was going to be another 1984 season for us.

He didn't have the option of testing free agency and signing with whatever team was going to give him insane money. LT, in today’s NFL , would be suspended , like Josh Gordon. |

You know, with regards to roster quality. However, and nobody can tell me different, Parcells would take this very roster to the playoff without a doubt in my mind. |

Did you know what kind of coach Bill was half way through year 2? I didnt. I hoped he was going to be great. Not saying Judge is a slam dunk at all. I was "higher" on him at the beginning of the season but things, like the major injuries, are out of his hands. While its true good HC finds a way around these things keep in mind he is a newish HC who is trying to prove himself, with a QB trying to prove himself, all while navigate major injures, lazy ass players retiring etc. A tall order. Not making excuses just painting a picture. Jones has a great game vs the Saints and then gets a concussion in the next game. They lose Barkley, Goallady, Gates, Toney, Shep, Lemeuix, Thomas, etc. Even a seasoned top HC would have a problem with this roster roller-coaster. |
