I could use a 6 pack for the Monday night game.....I mean only a real sucker would trade anything more for that bag of dicks. We got a 5th for Snacks .

That would be awesome but I think the only team that would overpay to that extent is the Giants. I’m trying to think of a team out there dumb enough to do that and the only one that keeps coming to mind is Gettleman and the Giants. Injury history, drops and coming up on a contract year. I don’t see a snow balls chance in hell they get a 2nd for him and even a 3rd would be shocking to me. lol, tough to find one. Cincy and the Raiders are weird. Buffalo can afford a mistake. Idk

If all pro TEs were the norm in the 3rd round or later nobody would ever take them in the 1st or 2nd round. For every all pro you find in the 3rd round or later I can name 30 drafted in the 3rd round or later that amounted to little. Because most superstar receiving TEs are actually outleirs He'll I think Kelcey was a 3rd or later.. Brate was a mid rounder Howard was overdraft for what he is ( a traditional type that is good ad everything but not a supetstar) Great offenses don't need a superstar TE,especially ones that are outside the tackle box blockers ... Well if it is easy to find a great TE in the 3rd round or below than all we should draft next season in the 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds are TE's. Lets triple our odds.

I've never seen him make a catch he shouldn't....I've seen him drop 15+ he should.....numerous that directly resulted in picks......he fumbles too.....he sucks at blocking.......one half decent play in what 5 seasons? The TB TD from 2019. I'd gladly take a 5th rounder from some moron GM who thinks they can get more out of him......PLEASE let someone be that stupid.

I can’t see anyone paying more than that. We should be asking for at worst a 4th round pick. If he walks this offseason, then he will get signed to a contract that would likely net us a 4th or 5th round pick (albeit the following year) and since we do not have much cap space to spend in this upcoming free agency, then it is likely we would get a comp pick for him.

Except the fumble vs Atlanta inside the scoring zone that cost us a chance to end the game And the dropped pass (though tipped shoulda been caught) on the Giants final drive.....couple that with missing two games because of a calf and playing just mediocre in every game since...... Is this what we applaud now?!?!?! "Hey look Evan Engram didn't **** UP today!!!!! Yaaaaaaayyyyyy!"

A 5th is a giveaway not a steal. He has actually played pretty well in the last few weeks. He is catching 69% of his targets this season. Not great but not bad. A 5th would be a steal. He's an UFA. We're literally getting nothing for him in the offseason because we're not resigning him. Any team that trades for him will either have to extend him or deal with him being an UFA in a few months. Teams are not going to commit much equity into a trade for that. If he gets a good contract, we get a comp pick

So a 4th is possible if both sides meet in the middle. because he's a FA at end of season and no one would franchise him, it's got to be a true contender like Bills or Titans who think they can make use of him. Crazy outlier would be Patriots who are very much in running for AFC East, like hybrid players, and also are good resigning players (when they want to be)

If he gets a good contract, we get a comp pick 1. Comp picks are based on more than if he gets a good contract. 2. The comp pick we might receive would be until 2023. 3. At best we would get a 4th or 5th round comp pick. Getting a 2022 5th for him now would be a steal. Agreed theres speculation on my part as to what the pick would ultimately be, but a 2023 4th round pick is very similar in value to a 2022 5th round pick. So, I dont see how it'd be a steal if we are getting similar value back anyway

Engram has legit skills, when he isnt hurt, dropping passes or tipping them up causing interceptions. He cant block either. A 5th would be a steal. Trade him while there is interest otherwise he will get hurt again and not be able to be traded. A 5th is a giveaway not a steal. He has actually played pretty well in the last few weeks. He is catching 69% of his targets this season. Not great but not bad. He played pretty well the past few weeks. I agree. How about the last few years? He is on the last year of his contract too so whoever trades for him gets him for about 10 games, if that. 5th rounder is the best you would get and would be great considering last year we were saying we would trade him for a bag of used footballs. How many games last year did he personally lose for us by fumbling or tipping a perfectly thrown ball for an INT? At least 3 I can remember. He is highly athletic, and highly disappointing. Zach Ertz, who is way better, just fetched a 5th rounder.

If a team wanted him let's say for more than a rental, can they franchise him before he walks and maybe work on a deal and sign him long term? That's a good question. Didn't we franchise L Williams after trading for him when he was an UFA-to-be? Yes and that would make Engrams trade value higher if a team wants him long term

If we trade Engram it will be for more than a 5th round pick. Otherwise we will keep him.

As of today, it doesn’t seem possible the Giants do anything besides restructure contracts b/c they won’t have any room. Imo, Engram will go for at best a 4th which is a wing and prayer come draft day. This is Dave Gettleman football. He was desperate and the cap is a mess b/c of it.

So, I dont see how it'd be a steal if we are getting similar value back anyway Because the comp pick isn't guaranteed and not guaranteed to be a 4th. It could be a 6th or 7th for all we know. Sure, I guess in my mind the hit rate on those late round picks is such crap that the chance of getting a 3rd or 4th rd comp pick makes it worth waiting for...unless they get better than a 5th rounder for him in a trade

Ertz is good but is he as much of a mismatch nightmare as our Pro-Bowl TE Engram?
