Give me the over. Schedule seems a bit easier, our PS QB played a bunch of games, our #1 QB only played a few, every player on the OL missed time etc. Well our no. 1 qb last year went to the JETZ this year. Now we have the Journeyman QB and 2 PS guys...Hmm put it this way: If Lock starts and plays for most of the season: around 6 - 7 wins Expensive PS guy: 4 - 5 Inexpensive PS guy: 5 - 7 The silver lining is if the expensive PS guy starts and plays most of the season we will be drafting top 5 in 2025 and be in position to grab Beck or Sanders. LMAO. Well we can agree to disagree. Our HC and GM certainly think higher of Jones than you.

If they think highly of Jones and he fails to produce, given the resources available then they should lose thier jobs

Instead of just mindless love and admiration for Jones. Let's establish what his production and win expectation it is going into next year. Then we can see what actually happens and have a conversation about it

No. You're going to wait and defend whatever garbage Daniel puts on your plate. This way. You can be checked

My expectations is that we make the playoffs. Trying to pin down how many yards etc before seeing a preseason snap and knowing Jones is alive and not shell shocked is silly. Especially since we don't know who's where on the OL.
I'll set my expectations for today at 25 TDs, 4,000 yards and single digit INTs. Gotta see how Daboll uses this O.

Unless DJ reproduces that 'magical' year this year and going forward he is essentially a sunk cost

What you stated is completely fair. 230 YPG with 1.4 Passing TDs per game should be rather easy? Dane Bruglar said Nabers would be his best overall player in the last two drafts. So I would be stunned if any starting NFL QB could not achieve these low standards. Right?

Trending downwards. Unless DJ reproduces that 'magical' year this year and going forward he is essentially a sunk cost If you even need to ask about 2023 then there's no point having this conversation and we can agree to just wait. Do I really have to point out that Andrew Thomas missed most games to start the season, so did Saquon (the only real weapon at that point, so did WanDale and the coaches hadn't used Hyatt outside of the second half in Arizona. Oh we also had a different OL starting each week including a guy "straight off the couch".
Call me crazy but I'll judge Daboll based on 2022 much more than 2023. Now I know you, or someone else, will reply with some other non-sense about 2023 so let's just skip that and agree to see what happens this year. The HC and GM want to roll with DJ, the fans don't have a choice. We should all hope I'm right.

So I would be stunned if any starting NFL QB could not achieve these low standards. Right? Seems simple to me. Allen went from 20 TDs, 3000 yards to 37 TDs, 4500 yards in 1 season. I don't expect that large of a jump before seeing people on the field; but we shall see.
We also don't know who is calling plays. Can Kafka do it? Can this staff make an offense that works? Can't wait to see. I'll set Allen's numbers as the ceiling for this year.

All good but is that Jones starting game # 1 or # 4? I just need some more info to go on. Like I said I save prognostications for the Powerball.

although 2023 had so much go wrong and a brutal schedule we saw practically everything go right in 2022 with an easy schedule.

After this off-season do you really expect a bad O-Line? History aside, we added 3 capable players. Two with legit starting experience and versatility. At worst, I think it's fair to expect play comparable to 2022. If so, even DJ can succeed. Nabers makes it that much better. I'm hoping the O Line play elevates to average, which would be a huge step up, given the we saw last year. 2022 was pretty mediocre, which was also a lot better, lol. 2022 they were ranked 30th, so mediocre would have been a huge step up - seahawkswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/12/seahawks-offensive-line-rankings-week-18-pff/

It is not nonsense. Its part of the body of work and the trending..Okay he has a better OL and now 'weapons''. So now I expect 25 + TDs (not including rushing) single didgit TOs and 4000 + yards for our franchise.. Its the last chance for romance....

So what's his ceiling if things go right? I assume things going right and more time with Daboll and Nabers and a better OL should yield better results. Obviously things can go off the rails again and we could be looking for a new QB/HC next year; but in April I'm looking at the "if things don't go horrible again" viewpoint.

I would say we were trending towards success with Daboll/Jones until a disaster like the Hindenburg of last year. We can agree to disagree though. Nothing wrong with that. We will either be a good team this year or we won't be.

I'm taking the over because by September I'll be predicting 17 wins.
