If we're not trading back I think we have to go OT at #4. I think OT at #4 not only addresses our biggest need, but it provides the most flexibility throughout the rest of the draft. Here's my order and a short summary as to why......this will likely change a dozen times over the next month:
Wills - Thomas was my favorite OT coming into the off-season, and he may end up being my favorite, but after watching some film on Wills I'm completely impressed. I'm no OL guru, but his technique looks flawless and he moves like a basketball player....great feet and change of direction.
Thomas - Coming into the off-season, it was him or Chase Young. Not sure what's changed, but he's a monster, and could be our future LT.
Becton
- Physical beast. Absolute mountain of a man, simply rag dolls defenders. Moves good for his size, but will he be exposed against NFL rushers?
Wirfs
- Athletic freak and ex-wrestler, which I like. Not sure what it is, but he's my least favorite of the Fab 4.
Simmons
- Simmons would be the only defender, at #4, that I'd walk away happy with. I'd be fine with an Okudah, but I'd be very happy with Simmons. Dude is amazingly gifted, and would be a true weapon to have on our defense.
Jeudy
- The idea of WR at #4 is tough to swallow, but Jeudy might be worth it. He'd be an absolute phenomenal compliment to Barkley, and would be awesome to watch him grow with Jones. This is like one of those shots in basketball where you're yelling "no, no, no!!!," but then the shot goes in so you change you're tune to "all right, good shot!"
Okudah
- We've put a lot of resources into CB the last few years, but Okudah, Baker, and Bradberry would give us 3 very good, very young CB's. There aren't many teams who can say that. Our Secondary would become a complete strength and could make for a lot of turnovers.
Lamb
- Honestly, I don't see a scenario where we draft him, so I haven't given Lamb much thought. I'm just getting into my draft research and I hear he's arguably the best WR, but I just don't see him being the potential game changer Jeudy is, and I think there's way too much value in rounds 2+ at WR this year to reach for anything other than a game changer in round 1.
