Gotta say, why is this guy at a house party with these types of people. He should be social distancing like the rest of us and he wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. He gets what he deserves.

What I’m trying to say is he’s an idiot..

He gets what he deserves. Hopefully what he deserves is to have all charges dropped and have it be a huge wake up call for him. Not like the defense is overloaded with talent, and while he had his issues last year he certainly improved as the season progressed. Would hate to see his life ruined by going to the wrong party...

He'll be a model team guy and a Pro Bowl corner from now on. Not saying this will be the case but, what the heck, always dream for the stars, right?

I have a hard time judging how I would have ended up with being feted most of my life and then given millions of dollars in my early 20s. I'm going to let this play out before I make a judgement.

That’s fair. I’m very unsympathetic when it comes to a player being lazy or uninterested. I don’t know why he slept during meetings or didn’t absorb the playbook like others. But, I look at playing in the league as a privilege for the very few. These young men get to play a game at the highest level and get paid accordingly due to it. The least players can do is take their job seriously. And to your point, being young dumb and full of *** with more money than he knows what to do with it can be tough for many individuals. Everyone wants to be your friend, cousins you never heard or seen are now calling you up for a loan. You’re now known by people all over the world. That alone can be very difficult to deal with as an adult, even more so as a young man. My judgement is he’s an idiot. But, life is all about second chances and redeeming yourself. Hopefully this incident gives him a new outlook on life.

Impossible - he’s already been convicted from the guilty until proven innocent fan base. Some of whom post right here.
I hope he gets cleared and learns about how important the company you keep is.We’ll see how it plays out when all the facts are in.
There are cheap shots that continue to be fired by the bush leaguers sitting on their high horses still without all the facts.
No one knows all the facts - some took the initial reports which are falling apart and started slinging their insults and continue to do so. He’s not to bright - to dumb to learn the playbook. He’ll get what he deserves. We finally have a “ lockdown” corner. ........and on and on and on.............
There are a few of you that are a real piece of work, judging and spewing insults about this kid. It’s pathetic - every fan base has there share of numbskulls. It’s pretty easy to identify which are posting on this subject.
Is he perfect no - no one is.

But I do have some empathy for some of these athletes who go from earning nothing in college to becoming instant multi millionaires at 21 years old. I did dumb stuff at that age, hard to imagine what it would have been if I had that kind of coin. Just saying.

**If** the charges are dropped, we'll know all we need to know in a few months. A smart man would see this as a lesson, focus on his craft and avoid the BS. An idiot will do something stupid very shortly after he's acquitted, proving the point once and for all. We just have to wait to see which way he goes...

So, if Baker ‘s case is dismiss or he is found innocent. What , will the NFL and Goodell do to discipline Baker. Four game , six games , eight games or a whole season ???

It goes from Baker and Dunbar losing money to robbing people at gunpoint to get their money back to nothing happened??
If this is black mail or extortion then he did some bad shit form them to retaliate in that way.
All I hear is lawyer speak right now. Its possible if these people who he allegedly robbed would get in trouble with the law because of the gambling scene they were at then they will drop their charges to save their own asses. I am being cynical but he is involved and something just isnt right about this whole situation.

He gets what he deserves. I remember being 22 years old. And, I wasn’t rich. Being falsely accused of serious crimes, out 200k in bond money + lawyers fees seems a little steep for not social distancing. Not sure he “deserves” that. All contingent on the charges being dropped, obviously. If he’s guilty, then your right.

It’s all smoke and mirrors. Who walks around the street carrying $70,000 in Miramar, Florida?’’

He has a lot to do to earn respect and trust again. Even if he does get out of this situation, he then has to deal with the stench in the locker room of being a lazy and unmotivated player.
Did he not even care to get on the good side with his new HC after last years issues? That is definitly not a good sign of the future with this kid. Hope I'm wrong but I dont see much between the ears with this one. Another Eli Apple we will be ready to move on from quickly.
And again, I liked the pick a lot at the time. I just cant get that image of him dogging it on that one play last year.
Very disappointing.

Voluntary or not if he had trouble with the play book he should be taking every chance to learn it. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Pretty much saying that if this continues then we are all going to jail for a very long time. Surprised he didn't come straight out and say...racketeering took out many a mafia boss.

Well, let's see what the facts say.
Still: why does one need to carry around a semi automatic weapon when going to a party?

I believe the Giants invested 3 draft picks to get this kid. Any fan of the Giants that doesn't want this kid to succeed is a complete moron! You seem to be all in on a kid who falls asleep in team meetings, didn't have a good 2019 and decides not to show up to virtual meetings in 2020 (Before this mess). Blah, Blah Blah, don't tell me that other players miss these meetings. They have a BRAND NEW COACHING STAFF AND SCHEME! He obviously needs these meetings as much or more that anyone else. Also, you want to throw in the fact that he blows off social distancing and goes to a party armed with a handgun. Perhaps his didn't rob anyone, maybe he was just flashing it to be a tough guy (Then they concocted a BS story to get money out of him). So either way, we are dealing with lazy player who puts himself in colossally stupid situations that could have potentially put him away for life. In the end, the Giants will be a better team if he succeeds so hopefully he does. The majority of us won't be big fans of this kid until grows up and shows some type of effort, he really needs to in order to succeed...
