makes you think its more then a guy just wanting to smoke weed or being "stupid". I would tend to think it would be more involved then that. Either way it happens all the time and not just to kids who come from rough back grounds. Happens in all socioeconomic levels. I grew up middle class and schooled with upper middle class to rich kids too. Lots of people went down the wrong path. I grew up in the middle class as well but I wouldn't necessarily say Will hill went down the wrong path. I'm knew some people who really crashed and burned. Will Hill went to college, he put the work in to make it to the NFL and made a good chunk of money doing it $5 Million. I just can't believe that there wasn't anyone who could get through to him and make him understand that he ALREADY made it, he just needed to clean 1 part of his life up. Crap, if he could have stayed clean for 7 years, he could have done whatever the hell he wanted. It's just sad since he was supremely talented and wasted his talent..... You just dont know whats going through some people's heads. Maybe he figured he'd be alright until it wasnt. Crazy stuff that makes no sense to some.

Sometimes you can take the kid off the streets, but you can't take the streets out of the kid and sometimes its way more than just the "streets" cliche. I've know several people who grew up in "good homes" etc and didnt make it. Lots of factors involved sometimes As Ron White says, you can't fix stupid.

I thought I read somewhere that the league pays him some set amount each week that he's on that list, and it doesn't go against the team's cap. Everything I've read indicates he still gets paid and still counts against the cap. Yeah, you're right. Maybe I saw that in Newsday, gotta check back on that. He doesn't count against the roster.

He wasn't close to the streets, lol. He grew up in West Orange, NJ and went to Saint Peters preparatory school (Private School). What was he, Malibu's most wanted?..... No he didn't. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deandre_BakerDuring his time at Miami Northwestern Senior High School, Baker was an All-American Sprinter and participated in the 4 × 100 metres relay on the second leg. Ugh, we were discussing Will Hill?

He blew a chance to make $10's of millions more than he did. He made $5M in his career and could have made $30M - $50M. He blew his chance because he couldn't stop smoking weed. Wow, it amazes me to hear how someone could flush a winning lottery ticket down the toilet to smoke weed. This guy was given chance after chance after chance. I'm surprised him mom, dad or brother didn't shake he and make him realize how dumb he was being.... makes you think its more then a guy just wanting to smoke weed or being "stupid". I grew up in the ghetto in Jersey City, I had some great times and some not so great but you move on and do what's best for you or you don't and stay in the ghetto..by the way I have some great memories of growing up in jersey city that I wouldn't part with...

New Jersey Generals to beat the Harlem Globetrotters? What a weird reference... This makes me think of some folks on NFL Sirius suggesting the new name for the Redskins to be the Washington Generals.
A team literally built to try to lose and be humiliated doing it.
Hey... friends and I bought season tickets to NJ Generals. Went to one game...it was so Damn hot at Giants Stadium, I never went back!

I knew they were discussing Will Hill . .......no , no you didn't. .......you were in the "Will Hill" update thread..................,oh wait. Still can't admit that you thought you knew something that others didn't and came charging out to "correct" them only to find out that you were wrong again.. Don't know what this response has to do with your mistake on this thread which now shows you're doubling down with the same mistake.. Can't make this stuff up! Thanks for this site to help display this for everyone..

Makes sense, haha. You were talking about the streets and I was like, Will Hill, the streets? I imagined Will Hill trying to jack someone with a buttoned down vest and wing tipped shoes.....

Late to the party is Will Hill coming back? Are we in that dire of a situation at the Safety spot? /sarcasm if that wasn't implied

I've know several people who grew up in "good homes" etc and didnt make it. Lots of factors involved sometimes I grew up in Morris County... some of my closest friends were wealthy kids from Mendham. They lived the most self destructive lives using and selling hard drugs, driving under the influence, etc... despite having every opportunity afforded to them. Difference is they often never got in trouble for their actions and if they did it was a slap on the wrist... Will Hill's issues were Marijuana and child support... not issues related to the "streets"

Who knows the validity of the video, but none of these guys look like Baker.

I just don't know what to think of this whole situation, I really hope it doesn't turn out that Baker did absolutely nothing. That sounds strange I know, but it would really suck for him that his career was derailed for nothing.
I know this, has any other team had more bizarre off field shit happen to their players than the Giants? Jesus..
