It doesn’t seem like Beal ever wanted to be a professional football player. I wish him luck at his next job. thats true, you can't draft a player and then make him want to play..

I’m sure he can find a good profession with his skills and expertise. He could be a doormat. Technically, Beal made the Giants his doormat. Beal has already collected about $2M in cash (Doesn't include his 2021 salary) for a little over 3 years of not doing anything... $2M for sitting on your ass and pretending to be a football player, not bad.... I have always been an advocate for poor people having grown up in the Jersey City low income area and this kind of stupidity of handing big money to people who will never earn it really grates me, life is too hard for too many....

It is a tough game and everyone has different financial aspirations. If a guy chooses to not play that is his right. We offer a contract and he takes from it what he wants and can. It is incumbent on us, the FO and coaches to sort out those guys before we commit draft capital. It is part of the imperfect science of the draft. If other team bungle 4 picks per draft, we need to set our sights on 3 or less bungles........there will be mistakes every year.

If his take from the Giants is as low as you say, it makes me sad as well. Very few people have the ability to change the trajectory of their family in 4-6 year of work. Most of them are athletes or entertainers. What in heaven's name can he do to backfill an NFL salary? That said, it is his choice........ but the league really needs to have a couple dozen financial advisors engaging the rookies on the possibilities in front of them.

I read a while back that there is a program or class to promote fiscal responsibility. The class stresses moderation. 1 house, 1 car etc.

Yeah, thats fine. He's got two chips. Two more than your boy DG will ever have. Let that settle in Mike.
There is no sense in comparing them. Ultimately, both have failed in rebuilding the team. Although I feel better about this team after 3 years than I did about Reese. Dave also got a job after his first stint, why hasn't Reese with his 2 rings? Accorsi was still better than both. Could not agree more. One has 2 rings the other nothing to speak of. Accorsi was flashy, did not know what he was doing in the draft before JR started running them. Unless, Ron Dayne's and Williams Josephs are players you dig. It makes sense, Accrosi would be the first to tell you he's not scout. However, I do give him the credit for assuring the Giants hire JR as a GM over Gettlemen.

You would be surprised at how many team's list of 3rd round picks are a heaping help of crap.
A GM's job is to provide the coaches the players to win games. So far Dave has failed miserably. JR, for all the "lists" you can come up with, won 2 SB's as the Giants GM.
The list of players he drafted and signed who helped us win those SB's, is much longer than your list.
Reese didn't win 2 SBs.. He was the GM for a team that won 2 SB during his reign. That is something of an accomplishment but not at the top of the heap behind the HC, players, star players and probably a coordinator. I would put the GM, JR in this case, ahead of the owner. An owner can screw up a team but his upside impact toward SB is not more impactful than a GM imo. lol You're hilarious. He did win two SBs, you can contort history to suit your feelings but that doesn't make it real

As for the owner comment. Maybe you should check out the Dallas Cowboys to see what impact an owner can have lol.
