I would play Booker over Barkley. I would really love to use them both, with Barkley coming off the bench and moved around, but that doesn't seem to be the Giants plan. When Barkley plays, he gets almost all the snaps. Booker is a downhill runner and gets the tough yards that Barkley cannot. Booker can move the chains now granted the Eagles front 4 is not bad at stuffing the run. What is the problem with blending in Booker and Barkley? Why can't this team make good decisions?? As you said Barkley out in space makes sense but he has not been able to push the pile. Gallman was better at that.

If this is solely a Barkley issue then if he wants to last in this league here or elsewhere, he'd be wise to explore the Lasik surgery Tiki had. Also if he feels he is being used incorrectly in the offensive scheme as it relates to his RB talents then he needs to speak up to the coaches and in the RB room. exactly. If something is wrong that you don't like and you know is holding you back, speak the heck up or suffer the consequences of what you'll become in this league to include losing money

It feels like him and Jones are similar. They both have talent and can do a lot of great things, but they both don't see the field well. sounds about accurate smdh

I tend to agree that while all these RB's are not as dynamic a runner as Barkley, they did seem to be more consistently productive no matter which Oline we had.
i don’t understand why he doesn’t hit the hole fast. Year one he was full speed and cutting hard regardless. Now, he tippie toes in anticipation of seeing a hole to drop the throttle . . . yet so often he never finds the hole and gets tackled. He’s literally like a home run hitter who strikes out often. Just run north/south and use your moves at the 2nd level. i wonder if anyone, reporter or anyonje has brought that to his attention? Someone has to ask the tough quesstions and we want and need answers

I'm just starting to get the vibe that saquan really isn't that good. One trick pony. imo, if this OL was decent and we had a confident QB he’s an explosive Marshall Faulk type. Problem is without the line and confident QB he doesn’t hit the hole or run N/S like Faulk did. He seems very confused and we’re confused watching him imo. my only complaint about what you just said is doesn't matter what else everyone is doing around you or not as to when the hole is there and such....Go out and do your job to the best of your ability and be the Beast that you are so called proclaimed to be and put the naysayers to bed. **** what others is doing or not doing , don't let that bring your legacy down. And sure the O line isn't too good but when the holes are there and such you need to have the vision to hit it and do your thing!!

Another thing people don't mention is that the defense keys on Barkley when hes in.
Booker rarely gets tackled as he gets the ball. Barkley does often and that is 100% a scheme or blocking issue.
Hes better than Booker post injury but not as good as he used to be. He reminds me of Leveon Bell who when he runs behind a good line is a 'patient' runner. Behind a bad line is an 'indecisive' runner.

I mean we saw it last season, with Gallman especially. Yesterday he had 13 carries for 40 yards. Let's break that down... 1 carry...32 yards 12 carries..8 yards It's pretty much his career in a nutshell. I know many don't want to admit what a bad pick he was at #2, and it's an old argument. Another RB who was a top 10 pick who is arguably better than Barkley just had his season end yesterday, after missing most of the season already. RBs get hurt...often. I know, I know, it's football, every position player can get hurt. RBs probably get hurt more than any other. You have to consider that when making the investment..all I'm saying. Yeah he is the Dave Kingman of RBs..One massive home run and 3 strike outs. I saw this when he was playing at Penn St..But you know someone fell in love with the guy and didn't want to pick up the phone..

I feel like Barkley is one of those players who needs to be used in a specific way in specific situations not ulike Reggie Bush. He is not an every down back nor is he a between the tackles runner but can absolutely productive if used properly

The offense in general seem like it was drafted for a WC scheme from oline to wrs.

I try not to be reactionary.
After the fumble recovery with 1:34 left, you need your guy to find a way to get a first down there. Giving it back with 1:11 on the clock is really unacceptable and should have cost them the game.
He just has to get it done in that situation, ol or no ol.
What’s the comp pick situation if some team pays him 10-12 million? 3rd rounder?

Couldn't disagree more with this. Booker's effectiveness is entirely overstated. He had one decent game...not his fault though. It's our terrible oline's fault. How is Freeman on there?? One decent game then he was hurt. Who watches Barkley yesterday and puts any middling runs at his feet? I guarantee the Giants run blocking improvement last year would have benefited Barkley just like Wayne Gallman. I'll tell you what I do know, none of these other guys would have done what Barkley did on his 32 yard run. Basically Bookers performances have been exactly like Barkley's save for the big play potential. And had it been Barkley instead of Gallman last year, I think it's wild to think he would have been less effective. Booker almost never gets negative yards. Barkley constantly gets caught in the backfield for negative yards. I'm not comparing the talent, but with our horrible ol, Booker is a better RB. Just MO.

Going by what Jordan Ranaan got from 3 executives they were not comfortable giving him longterm security, but believe he is a game changer and would exhaust the franchise tags as long as he stays on the field, they were not comfortable letting him walk for nothing. I tend to agree by the time they use the tags he would be going into year 8 and if the Giants are using them that would mean he is back to his rookie form.

Meh. This is just impatience with how bad we suck. Getting it out of the way, resigning Barkley makes no sense at this point. But he lists all those backs as if that group proves some point. It’s like high school debate antics 101. Barkley hasn’t lived up to the hype. But that “enough excuses” BS I have no patience for. It’s how the simple deny reality and demand what they want regardless of factual limitations. We lost 14 yards on an end-around last game, not because of the WR. Our horrible o line is not an excuse. It’s just a fact. It doesn’t make Barkley good.

Our OL is a good run blocking unit for Booker. Some how. They can't see to make it work for Barkley. Definitely not a vision issue. Cant be thatYA already told us everything we need to know about Barkley. He's not what we're selling. Booker had a greta game against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL the Raiders no one this year ran great behind this OL last year after game 8 with jones as a threat Gallmen made some hey the OL was a better run blocking unit. with Lemuix Gates Zietler and Flemming who was good in the run game this is not apples to apples .

See? That’s actual analysis right there. Gallman averaged more than 4 yards a carry last year with 6 TDs. He’s on his 2nd team since the giants and has 28 carries this season. When the Giants said they were happy with their line in the off-season, I understood why. It made sense to me. Now with Hernandez regressing and Gates’ future in question, they’re back to square one with this line.

He will not get resigned but I won't be surprised if what Ranaans guys think happens if he stays healthy franchise him to death lot of money but only 1 year commitments.

I hated OJ when he was a Cardinal. Was hesitant to welcome him to the Giants. But that uppercut forearm shiver is legendary. I remember how could anyone in the division like him he was emmet Smith on riods lol OJ was a hand full man, when he was healthy the only reason he ended up with us is because of the injury I believe.

Jeez, except for the outlier, he ran for 8 yards on 12 carries .. or 24 INCHES per carry! If Barkley is touched by the hand of god, then god should keep his hands to himself!

He is more of a speciality type back catching passes out of the backfield then running with the ball which is fine but is too much of a luxury type player for this team/
He is not an every down back as we've witnessed and forget him running north and south drives many a fan here crazy.
