OK this Mock Draft is Bad...Really Bad!
Seems like the guy who made it doesn't even know which team needs what. Dolphins Draft Fields? Why? When they just took Tua!

I'm open minded about this guy . He is kinda the Issah Simmons of TEs I guess in that going to the wrong team using him wrong (HE IS NOT A WR...THIS IS HOW YOU GET DEVIN FUNCHES 2.0).. Ife he is used as a very big bodied slot hybrid pmaymaker and moved all over the formation to take advantage of hight and athletic mismatches and get functional blocking in the process he can be incredible..

Have you guys watched this dude play, because I wasnt thinking of a TE other than someone like Charlie Kolar from Iowa St in the 3rd or 4th. Now that I gave Pitts some thought and watched him play, WOW, this dude would immediately be our best option in the passing game. He is big, fast, has GREAT hands and body control. Im not sure if he would be better as a TE or an outside WR but either way, he would be a hell of a choice. After missing out on Engram with our 1st round pick a few years ago I can understand why people would be uncertain about taking a TE in the 1st, but dude can BALL He is a talent no doubt! They line him up on the boundary vs. CBs and he wins, in the slot vs. Safeties and he wins, and sometimes I don't even recognize his body type pre-snap because he blends in with the other WRs. I will say this... although highlights are amazing I have to watch more "vs" videos to get a real good grasp of what he can do in between the highlight grabs. No one in the country would argue that Pitts isn't an early 1st round pick, but is he the right early 1st round pick for us? He definitely possess all the attributes we want from a WR taken early, so that's a start. I'm still 50/50 but ONLY if Smith and Chase are off the board. I remember what Gronk & Hernandez looked liked together in New England and dammit i would love that type of combo with Engram and Pitts in NY. Robinson ... Shep ... Engram ... Pitts ... Slay ... 4th round WR ... Saquon/Gallman π I agree. He has all the talent in the world and could produce just as much as a WR in our system, hell with his body type and his skills we wouldnt have an issue lining him up on the outside as a WR. I dont know if he is the right pick either, I guess it depends how the free agency period plays out. Sadly there is a HUGE dropoff between the top 8-10 CBs and they might all be gone by the end of the 2nd round. Being that we need a CB, Pass Rusher, and WR to contribute day 1 there are alot of moving parts right now. Yes, there is Willie Jackson, Desmond King, Shaquil Griffin, Vernon Hargreaves, Sidney Jones, and Ahkello Witherspoon all young cb's who would PROBABLY come at a reasonable price. I dunno to me it all depends what we want to do about our lack of a number 2 CB.

I mentioned earlier, if we take Pitts you have to look at it like the Gronk/Hernandez pairing. How they worked off each other from the in-line blocking position. They were unstoppable.

Dont get me wrong if we sign Allen Robinson or Allen Lazard Ill be happy and that still wont sway me from going after someone like Kyle Pitts, Ja'Marr Chase or DeVonta Smith in the 1st. Hell im even cool with Parsons in the 1st too, there are really so many things that could happen to affect our draft and where we decide to go in the 1st and 2nd

Pitts reminds me of Plaxico...makes catching the ball look effortless. Plaxico didn't have great speed 4.6 at combine and a lower than average vertical but was still one of our best deep threats.
..but Pitts is a TE and Plax was a WR...not sure what to think about that. They are actually about the same size.

Plax had to take a bunch of strides to get up to speed which is why his 40 time was misleading..if it was a 100 yard time he would have been in the top % Pitts is not an X reciever and should not be thought as one .. Play him in the slot and move him all over the formation especially inside ..where he will have mismatches ..

He has taken alot of snaps against cbs and done quite well for himself. He has the route running ability, the body control, hands that snatch the ball out of the air. I feel like we could put this dude anywhere and he will excell

can Pitts block, he looks like a great receiver but what we really need at TE is someone who can do both at a decent level..

can Pitts block, he looks like a great receiver but what we really need at TE is someone who can do both at a decent level.. Pitts has apparent weaknesses. For one, he struggles with blocking as a whole. His hands are wide, his pad level swells, and overall the functional strength needed to be a strong blocker is not there. Now, is there a willingness to compete as a blocker? Absolutely, but the biggest thing I can give him is that he frames blocks well. So, Pitts can undoubtedly grow as a blocker, but that is simply not his thing yet. This wouldnβt scare me off at all.

Wow. I will just post and let you guys find out. I DID NOT see that coming. Still trying to process the pick but I wouldnβt be upset at all. What a terrible mock draft: 3. Miami is definitely not drafting fields 1 year after drafting Tua. I don't care how bad Tua was, that shit's not happening 10. Farley of Surtain? Not happening 11. No chance in hell we draft Pitts. We have a "probowl" TE already. If the WRs aren't there, we are going Rousseau 14. Payne over Rousseau - no and no

Detroit Lions last two TEβs
10th overall Eric Ebron 8th overall TJ Hockenson
Not enough wins IMO.

I have to wait until FA is complete to agree or disagree with what our 1st 2 picks will be . I am indifferent to all draft predictions at this point. Will a TE be a top priority . IDK There is probably going to be more than a few big names getting their walking papers with the league getting under the cap. New Orleans is 95 over the cap Packers are 22 over. Rams 22 over Steelers. 21 over KC 14 over.

He had better be great and better than so many TEβs league wide who were drafted later.

I also can't imagine the Eagles drafting Smith. They're in a bad spot, and I don't know if a WR is the answer for them at this point. They have essentially no one. Their first round pick (WR) also did not look good. DJax probably cut cause of cap and never healthy. They're gonna help Wentz or Hurts how? Think they're very likely to add a WR imo.

Jason Garret is our OC, one of the least creative playcallers in the league. He will fit a square peg into a round hole. No thanks.

Man that is my fear. The top 3 WRs are gone by our pick. As much as we need help on the O I think passing on Parsons in that situation would be very tough. Look for WR help in round 2. If they go the Pitts route, still need a WR in the 2nd I love Parsons but we can win with our defense as it currently is constructed the offense we can not win with they need at least 2 more weapons.
