Also, 100% agree that Mac Jones is a top 10 pick. Which is great for the Giants

If he is the best pick on the board, I'm never against that. I can't' see all 3 WR's gone in the top 10.

Honestly, I'm usually against a TE in the first round, but if they do there due diligence and get some guys in FA and Smith/Chase are gone, I actually probably wouldn't be upset even knowing they'd probably just be wise going a different route, but at this point. I want all the damn playmakers they can get on offense. I'm so sick of watching garbage offenses. We have a decent oline, a fantastic rb and a potential franchise QB.. get him the weapons he needs and lets see where it goes.

Gettlemen wont trade back and I dont think there is another playmaker thats worth the #11 pick With that said, im almost positive Smith and/or Chase will be there when we pick

I still wouldn't be super upset about the TE pick either even against my best judgement esp if it means they can move on from Engram without them making a probably bad deceision and paying him big time money.

We need at least one of those WRs before heading into the draft.

Have you guys watched this dude play, because I wasnt thinking of a TE other than someone like Charlie Kolar from Iowa St in the 3rd or 4th. Now that I gave Pitts some thought and watched him play, WOW, this dude would immediately be our best option in the passing game. He is big, fast, has GREAT hands and body control. Im not sure if he would be better as a TE or an outside WR but either way, he would be a hell of a choice.
After missing out on Engram with our 1st round pick a few years ago I can understand why people would be uncertain about taking a TE in the 1st, but dude can BALL

Like Pitts a lot. Think he's going to be great. Clearly has the whole dynamic athlete thing covered. But his hands are incredible and he has a suddenness and sharpness to his route running that you just don't often see out of TEs.
Unfortunately Evan Engram is still on this roster, and short of him not being on the roster, I can't see this being the move.
I 100% think the right kind of TE can be the guy in an offense as many have proved over the years. To do this, I also think the Giants would have to get their #1 target in free agency as a WR. We'd need our new Plaxico if we went this route.
Conclusion, I would be shocked, but with the right supporting moves in place, would not hate it. If we did this and didn't upgrade the WR position through free agency, I would not be happy.

Wow. I will just post and let you guys find out. I DID NOT see that coming. Still trying to process the pick but I wouldnβt be upset at all. Someone brought up this kid in another thread. I don't know much about him, but we desperately need a true TE. It's been so long, I honestly think many fans forget how valuable a legit TE is for an offense and a young QB. I'll do my research once the season is over, but is this kid well rounded or just a receiving TE?

They line him up on the boundary vs. CBs and he wins, in the slot vs. Safeties and he wins, and sometimes I don't even recognize his body type pre-snap because he blends in with the other WRs. I will say this... although highlights are amazing I have to watch more "vs" videos to get a real good grasp of what he can do in between the highlight grabs. No one in the country would argue that Pitts isn't an early 1st round pick, but is he the right early 1st round pick for us? He definitely possess all the attributes we want from a WR taken early, so that's a start. I'm still 50/50 but ONLY if Smith and Chase are off the board. I remember what Gronk & Hernandez looked liked together in New England and dammit i would love that type of combo with Engram and Pitts in NY. Robinson ... Shep ... Engram ... Pitts ... Slay ... 4th round WR ... Saquon/Gallman π

I also can't imagine the Eagles drafting Smith. They're in a bad spot, and I don't know if a WR is the answer for them at this point.

I think teams will look at the guy as more WR than TE, and on par with the top WR's in this years class. he's a monster, no doubt.

I don't even want to think about this.. just give me Smith π

Man that is my fear. The top 3 WRs are gone by our pick. As much as we need help on the O I think passing on Parsons in that situation would be very tough. Look for WR help in round 2.

I'd have to agree on parsons, although terrence marshall and rashod bateman are no slouches, not sure at 11 though. it will be tough. it very well could be pitts at 11, I mean judge had gronk in new england, and if he sees it as a game changing fit I think they pull that trigger.

Now that the Giants signed a couple of TEs in Nakia Griffin-Stewart and Nate Wieting I don't see them drafting one for a few years now.. LOL

Absolutely if they see any of these guys as a game changer they need to take him. Pitts is certainly good, just would make me nervous. I really like Marshall just not sure I would pass on Parsons for him.
